Clean and accessible buses. Our driver, Theresa, handled the vehicle during high winds like a champ.

    Mid American Coaches

This wasn't my first ride on a Mid American. They've always been clean, good drivers, but tonight…read morewas exceptional. Took the coach to Frozen On Ice at Scott Trade in STL. The snow was coming down before we began our trip. Cindy our driver, and Glenda our concierge, were not only a fantastic team but made even the nervous passengers feel at ease. Glenda came around with candy for everyone and had a little trivia to pass the time for the up'ing travelers. Traffic was so backed up, because of the weather, but Cindy maneuvered around the traffic and got us to the show on time. It was wonderful to be dropped RIGHT at the door. The snow continued while we were at the show. When we came out, she was again Right at the door. How convenient! Especially with all the little "Elsa's" not completely dressed for the weather. We had to wait to start the snowy trek home. There were 3 passengers missing for quite a while, and Glenda went on a hunt for them. She and Cindy were patient and polite to the absent passengers, and Cindy attended to us waiting patiently on the coach. Cindy was an EXCELLENT driver and made everyone feel very safe. The driving conditions with crazy semi's zooming by was nerve wracking, but Cindy handled it with ease. Glenda brought the Frozen DVD to watch on the way home. It was a great distraction for anxious passengers and the tired young uns. When we arrived back, Glenda helped people clean off the 3+ inches of snow mounded on their vehicles. Cindy waited in the coach with passengers while their cars warned up. WOW....these ladies were impressive!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

3/29 This bus company has honestly been one of the worst…read moreexperiences of my life. We are going on an important trip to Washington DC, and this company's failures have set us back at least ten hours. This means we will probably miss several morning activities, and a hotel room that we have already paid for. We were supposed to leave in 2 Cavallo buses at 5 am Central time. Because of this company, we left at 9:30 in 1 Cavallo bus and 2 school buses. We were supposed to meet the 2nd Cavallo bus in Indiana around noon, but because (again) of this company, we will get the 2nd bus at 6 pm by the earliest. This means we will not get into DC until 4 am Eastern time at the earliest. We are meant to be up tomorrow around 6:30 EST. On top of this, the air conditioning and wifi do not work on our bus, leading to us all suffering in the heat. Will never use this company again, and will tell anyone I can to avoid them.

Following a recent trip where we used Cavallo buses I felt compelled to share my experience. Our…read moredriver was less than helpful or friendly. Most professional drivers assist the passengers, especially the elderly, as they exit the bus. This was not our experience as he would jump off to go light his cigarettes. His lack of respect for work zone speed limits was appalling. Over 70 mph with construction equipment and workers present and this went on for several miles. The equipment such as the DVD player, our main source of entertainment for the 5 hour drive did not work all weekend. The icing on the cake was when navigating through a parking lot he crashed into scaffolding shattering two large windows and did not stop to inspect until we insisted. While it was shatter proof glass shards still sprayed on passengers. The next best thing was duct tape to try and hold the window in. Needless to say it was a very very uncomfortable trip as well as frightful. The final straw for us was that the owner did not even show the courtesy of a return call once this was reported upon our return. This company seemed totally unconcerned with the safety of 50 passengers.

    Haunted Decatur Tour

This tour is a true haunted nightmare of epic proportions. We signed up for this Ghost Hunting Tour…read morein August. We drove downtown to a preset parking lot set up by the haunted tour company. Excitedly waiting we were met with a Special Ed short yellow school bus. Yikes!!!!! The tour was sold out, so we were quickly corralled into the bus of the foggy windows. The tour was full of ambiguous, short, loosely based 2nd-grade ghost stories. The tour guy was nervous and had the storytelling abilities of Barney Fife from The Andy Griffith Show. Basically, they drive you around, occasionally stop, lead you out to an underdeveloped grass parking lot and tell you another Native American burial graveyard story. Okay Tangina Barrons, "step into the light Carol Anne! My God, is that the reason for every haunting?" So very unimaginative storytelling, basically there is no ghost hunting. This tour is nothing more than a ghost storytelling tour. They pull you up to some historical house and tell you some supernatural anonymous character story. No actual ghost hunting just a couple of stops at some empty fields and one graveyard short walk with snorefest stories of kindergarten proportion. The cemetery was Greenwood Cemetery, and it was quite interesting. I wanted to explore and see inside buildings such as the Lincoln Theater etc. The most horrifying factual truth of the entire 4-hour tour is NO bathroom breaks! Not one bathroom break. So you better come to the ghost storytelling tour extremely dehydrated, I mean your bladder better be dead and haunting some bathroom somewhere because you are not allowed to pee-anywhere!!!!!!! That is the most frightful part of this tour. Will not be back or ever recommend this story telling tour, Too bad we were really looking forward to this excursion. = (
