"The Best First Thing to do in St. Louis" was the advertisement & I agree. As we rode through StL I was amazed at what I did not know & what I have forgotten. St Louis has many buildings and unique (many times funny) history to make a city proud. The tours leave Lumiere Casino (tickets at the gift shop or on-line) at 10 AM, noon, 2 PM and 4 PM- except Monday. This should be an official yelp event soon! The tour driver talked about St Louis river exploration history, trade history, baseball, brick, Blues music, "first skyscraper", 1904 World's Fair and the rebirth of the city (the Loop, Millionaire's Row, Washington Ave, SLU, Wash U, etc). He showed & talked about the old & new Basilicas (public church- I did not know the meaning). There was many jokes & funny local stories (consumption per capita of beer & the invention of the toasted ravioli, etc). I would highly recommend this to anyone from first time tourists to old sarcastic know it all like me. The driver was very interactive and asked many questions. For the OCD or "devil's advocate" people, he might be fuzzy on a few facts and missed some places because of the short tour route... I would just set back & smile or politely correct (like Wash U not having a good athletic program http://bearsports.wustl.edu/AthleticsDept/AthleticStaff/Pages/NancyFahey.aspx ) Overall, he did a excellent job in the limited time and us being one of the first tours. I was invited for a short preview of this tour to celebrate a friends 70th birthday. I hopped on the enclosed, a/c and wood lined trolley at the North entrance to Lumiere Casino. There were a few detours and he allowed the birthday party to talk amongst themselves so it was not the "official tour", but I still walked away impressed. The trolley itself has two large a/c units that almost froze us out till the driver adjusted the settings. The seats are wood benches with cushions on them and was fairly comfortable for the short trip. There was a handicap lift at the back of the trolley. As we left, one of the riders made a deal to rent the trolley for another special event. There are repeat customers already for this new business! Note- Later, at 3 Monkeys for a benifit, I was informed I should check out Washington University Women's Volleyball http://bearsports.wustl.edu/AthleticsDept/AthleticStaff/Pages/RichLuenemann.aspx and overall championships http://wustl.edu/athletics/

Check out the St. Louis Fun Tour if you're: 1. On a budget. It's affordable at $22 per person for a 75 minute trolly tour covering a distance of 23 miles across St. Louis. 2. Looking for what places and activities that are "absolutely free" (i.e. parking at the zoo, museums). 3. An information sponge. The driver and tour guide (Dusty or Barry) will provide entertaining and useful insider information about each location they drive by. 4. Searching for the best place in St. Louis to photograph the Gateway Arch (see photo). On my own, it was difficult to omit construction or buildings in the background, so when Dusty took my group to a photo-friendly location, I was thrilled! Bring a selfie stick! 5. Looking for something to do in inclement weather. The trolley is entirely covered, but it's not great for taking pictures due to the tinted windows. Note tours depart from the Lumière Hotel at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm every day of the week. Don't be late!

Great tour! Our driver was humorous and informative. The cathedral stop was totally worth the stop. I would take this tour again.

The snow was coming down before we began our trip. Cindy our driver, and Glenda our concierge, were not only a fantastic team but made even the nervous passengers feel at ease. Glenda came around with candy for everyone and had a little trivia to pass the time for the up'ing travelers. Traffic was so backed up, because of the weather, but Cindy maneuvered around the traffic and got us to the show on time. It was wonderful to be dropped RIGHT at the door. The snow continued while we were at the show. When we came out, she was again Right at the door. How convenient! Especially with all the little "Elsa's" not completely dressed for the weather. We had to wait to start the snowy trek home. There were 3 passengers missing for quite a while, and Glenda went on a hunt for them. She and Cindy were patient and polite to the absent passengers, and Cindy attended to us waiting patiently on the coach. Cindy was an EXCELLENT driver and made everyone feel very safe. The driving conditions with crazy semi's zooming by was nerve wracking, but Cindy handled it with ease. Glenda brought the Frozen DVD to watch on the way home. It was a great distraction for anxious passengers and the tired young uns. When we arrived back, Glenda helped people clean off the 3+ inches of snow mounded on their vehicles. Cindy waited in the coach with passengers while their cars warned up. WOW....these ladies were impressive!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!!

She told us the history of the loop, what's currently going on and what's up and coming. We could not have asked for a better guide. The food is important but having a good guide I think is equally important. Tracey went above and beyond. We loved her. Five stars for Tracey. Now on to the food. I will list what where we stopped and rate each individual place. SALT AND SMOKE- OMG THE BEST PLACE ON THE TOUR. They gave us brisket and Mac -n- cheese( which they just won an award for) I live on the East Coast and we are not known for good BBQ but being a foodie I do know good food and this place was slammin! The brisket was the best I've ever had and so was the Mac-n-cheese made with some ritz crackers on top. The manager was very friendly and welcoming. They showed us the smokers up close which was very cool. They have 4 different sauces to try all made in house and all delicious. Liked it so much we are going back for dinner. PI PIZZA- Being from the East Coast, New Haven, home of world famous Sally's and Pepe's Pizza I have high standards for pizza. This pizza was not what I'm used to but enjoyed trying it anyway. They served a small pizza for the 3 of us which is extremely generous on a food tour! SHAWARMA KING- kind of a dive place for college kids, kind of while in the wall place. Chicken schwarma was tasty and falafel was average. Owner wasn't talkative or friendly but that's ok. I would eat here if a broke college kid or drunk at 2am but not a place for a first date SEOUL TACO- Korean taco joint. We had a beef taco which was delicious and kimchi rice that was also good. I would go back to this place for sure. PICCIONE PASTRY- they gave each of us a gooey butter cake canoli. St. Louis is famous for gooey butter cake if u didn't know. The cannoli was filled to order and was very good. Very sweet but very good. The tour was about $55 a person and was well worth it. I've been on other food tours across the country and this one gave us the most food for our money. I've been to others where we left hungry but not here! If you take this tour at 11 am like we did I suggest you do not eat breakfast! I would definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting St Louis both for the food and to learn the history. Lastly, the picture attached to my review is for Tracey. We ran into this famous guy as we entered our hotel right after our tour. We wished Tracey was still with us when we met him. Tracey we hope you see this picture and if the company sees this review please show Tracey the pic! Thanks!

As I was walking up the first thing I noticed was a bold sign saying "300" and I thought that was the price BUT it was only the weight limit. When I walked up and entered inside, I was pleasantly surprised ranging from 49-169 for different tour durations. I had to have the best. That was such a decent price! I booked it, watched a quick disclaimer video and away we went. What a blast! I felt like the Wolf of Wall Street all high class in a whirl bird. A birds eye view of St. Louis. The pilots, (whos names I forget, sorry) were very informative of the city and knowledgeable of the questions I had.
