We offer stall boarding or pasture board (year round but on a limited basis) for all breeds of horses. GEC staff was amazing from day 1 and willing to accommodate all of my needs. I arrived in Michigan and met with the barn manager, Jenna, who was equally as nice and attentive as those I spoke to on the phone. Once my horse arrived he was a little underweight and the staff at Groveland went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get him back up to weight. I am so happy with my choice! After visiting local equine veterinarians, I was directed to Mr. Priemer. Rick took time out of his day to evaluate my horse that was currently being boarded at a self-care farm. We decided to move her to his more structured facility, where he was able to work with both of us and our horse to determine if we were a good match. He only validated my own thoughts, when he determined she was too much horse for us. Here was a man, so honest, that he was willing to lose out on the boarding fees we were willing to pay, just to keep us safe and do what was best for the horse as he helped us find a great new home for her. Since then, my daughter has had the opportunity to learn about horses and take riding lessons to build her confidence and skills. I have no doubt that had we kept on the way we were going without Rick and Louise, both my daughter and I, and the beautiful strong-willed horse we had bought, could have been seriously hurt. These are great, honest knowledgeable people who really know what they are doing, and you couldn't have your horse at a safer place!

The facilities are spacious, clean well ventilated. There are several tacking areas with cross ties and an indoor wash rack. The indoor arena is large and usually empty. There is also a lot of outdoor space to ride (I joined recently in bad wether so I have not experienced these spaces myself.) The tack lockers are plenty big for 2 saddle plus other supplies. The pastures are spacious and the horses are grouped compatibly. They feed really great grain too! The best part about the barn is that everyone is really nice and I feel confident that my horse is in good hands when I go home every day.

We are…read moredefinitely amateurs - ride about once a year on average and have ridden with stables in several different states and countries over the years (e.g. have seen how riding is done with other companies). Today topped our list for one of the best (if not the best) trail rides we have ever done. Calvin was the guide for our group of three. The horses were very well-trained and energetic. This is definitely not your "walk in a line" type stable ride which was refreshing. We felt he tailored the ride to the experience level of our small group in terms of trails and gaits, and we always felt safe. We can't wait to come back.
