My friend and I after we made it out!
Elise G.

Had a great time, the pyramid room was super fun!! They also do sonic promotions so we even got a free sonic meal for getting a time on the leader board! Tiffany was a fun game master too, definitely ask for her! UPDATE: Went back the next day to play the detective room and the pirate ship and both were a great time. Can't recommend this place enough!

My nine year old daughter and I discovered "escape" rooms during a recent visit to the Metroplex;…read moreshe was hooked (even though we failed miserably at escaping) so I decided to seek out similar challenges upon our return to Lubbock and, perhaps, redeem our previous facepalm attempts. Wasn't sure what to expect here in Lubbock, where small city versions of big city things (I'm talking to you, Pei Wei) often seem somewhat second rate. Well, my family was very pleasantly surprised by Lubbock Escapes. I would say -- quite easily -- that the "Hard Time" game trumped the Escape The Room challenges we attempted in Dallas ("The Apartment") and Fort Worth ("Clock Tower"). The facility's upkeep was exemplary (not so in DFW) and the owner-operators were really nice, interested, and engaging. In fact, "Hard Time" featured team members handcuffed and separated into different jail cells at the game's start. This left my daughter a bit fearful and teary-eyed; rather than spoil the afternoon, the owner gamely started the game in one of the cells while his wife supervised my daughter until she mustered up the courage to play. As you will note, I don't write reviews unless they are well deserved. And this one certainly is.

My group did the "Hard Time" room, and it was a lot of fun! It was super easy to book on their…read morewebsite and pay. The price ($20/person) is not bad at all considering the quality of the room. We had a group of 5 and 2 group members had never done an escape room. This room was challenging and yet not overwhelmingly difficult. There is enough going on that we were all able to do be doing something. The game master will give you clues (if you ask for them) and they appear on a TV screen, which is helpful compared to other escape rooms I've done that use walkie -talkies. I would definitely go back here and try another room!
