Basically every high-end designer you've ever heard of has a massive flagship here. The food options are great too, especially the restaurants by the water with floor-to-ceiling windows. The Bad: Honestly, the vibe can be a lot. Because the mall connects a bunch of different giant buildings, it feels like an endless, confusing maze. The maps aren't super helpful and it is way too easy to get lost. We didn't have a ton of time to spend here, and we felt like we wasted most of it just trying to figure out where we were.

However, this shopping centre gets intensely packed. We visited on a Monday, and it was still way too crowded inside. The combination of the heavy crowds and the unique spiral layout actually made me feel a bit dizzy while navigating the floors. On the plus side, there is a great variety of shopping options, from upscale retailers to trendy boutiques, along with a movie theater and plenty of standalone restaurants. That being said, the actual food court area felt surprisingly small for a mall of this scale. We ultimately didn't spend much time here because it was a bit overwhelming, and we preferred to walk around the vibrant open-air spots nearby in Mong Kok. It is worth a quick look for the design, but be prepared for major foot traffic.

Pros + Price: let's be real. You're in Asia, where are all those cheap deals? Mong kok is the place to go. Minus...probably groceries. + Public transportation friendly Cons - "Trying it on" is unheard of if you're buying clothes. Better to prepared and know your measurements. It's like buying clothes from aliexpress, but you get to see it in person before you buy - Cash: you probably need to bring cash. Each stall likely has a different policy about credit or debit cards (let alone international cards). This is basically a girl's shopping haven. I would describe it as more of a building full with tiny tiny shops. Whatever you can imagine, you can find at the mall. There were electronics stores, clothes of all kinds, purses, food stalls, gift shops and much more. Here's the interesting thing, each of these shops were only about 50-100 sq ft in size. Now there is about 4 stories on shops just like these. 4 floors of mini shops, with the bra shop sitting next to a gift shop next to a closet that sells curry fish balls. Was it a ton of stuff to buy, no, not really. But it was interesting. It was just like a indoor "ladies street." DG Lifestyle Store is the place to go to if you want to seriously bling up your Apple Mac products…read more They were actually the first ever authorised reseller of Apple products in Hong Kong, but since the advent of so many other authorised resellers, and now the actual Apple Store, they seem to fallen into this niche of premium accessories for your Mac, that seem to be all style but of little substance. Frankly, the accessories they sell are now so ostentatious, that they have just become tasteless and crude, like a rapper's Bentley (trust me, a Bentley doesn't need spinners and chassis lights). If you can get past the Crystal studied iPhone cases, you will actually find that DG Lifestyle Store has a great range of Apple accessories, ranging from the mundane like super drives and USB hubs, through to the more funky like wireless speakers and fitness monitoring bands. Inside this particular stall, you may find yourself gravitating towards the glassed off "speakers" zone to the left. In there you'll find a great range of audio kit specifically designed to work with your computer. Do be a little bit careful with the price, as some items have an unjustified premium on them. You may find items significantly cheaper elsewhere. There seem to be a few too many staff in store. You would have thought that this would give you excellent and attentive service, but what happens is; you have a lot of staff standing around trying not to catch your eye, so that one of their colleagues can deal with you. This is not ideal in this particular store which displays a lot of its product away behind glass cabinets. You unfortunately have to engage with the staff (if you can get their attention) to be able to browse the products properly. Definitely do give this store a look, especially if you are just browsing. You can take a moment to enjoy the ridiculously over the top way the other half live, before checking out some of the more modest kit. However, do shop around as you may find yourself shopping elsewhere to get a more competitive price.

But I love COS and love that I discovered this store. I am not a fashionista, but I do love well made clothes that look taylored and yet have room to function and move. I always read care labels before a purchase and I do shy away from merino wool because it can pull and not wash well if not extremely well made. COS does have many pieces made of merino wool, so I kind of looked past these items. The clothes might use a lesser quality fabric on many pieces, but the cut and tayloring is current and comparable to items you would find in any high end retailer. The clothes, brand and price point kind of make me think of this brand as higher end than an H&M, less quality and cheaper price than Saks Fifth Avenue brands, equal in cut, structure and function as Marimekko and other equaivalent cut, high-end clothing lines in many ways and very current in the realm of what is happening in fashion. Simple lines, simple colors, modern. For business or casual, COS offers classic pieces I hope to have in my wardrobe for some time. COS is out of England. As stated on their website: "COS is a fashion brand for women and men who want modern, functional, considered design. Offering reinvented classics and wardrobe essentials, we create pieces that are made to last beyond the season. Traditional methods and new techniques merge to form timeless, understated collections. Since launching in 2007, we have opened stores worldwide in carefully considered locations, applying an architectural design concept that preserves buildings' original features whilst creating a modern, welcoming space." The store itself is a two story structure. Lots of staff if you needed assistance and pretty open space to browse around. Men's clothes are on the second floor. Store seems well organized. There are some comfortable seats throughout if you had a spouse who needed to park it while you look around.

COS (Collection Of Style) was a wardrobe staple of mine when I lived in London. (COS hasn't yet made it to the USA.) As a regular COS shopper I knew the sizing of the clothes here is often variable (in some items I'm an XS, others I'm a M) so I took armloads into the dressing room. I think this is a good strategy in almost any shop (if you're going to go through the hassle to take your clothes off to try on one item, you might as well try on six, right?) but even moreso here. Think you're a medium? Take a small and a large in with you too! This COS shop is on the medium-large side, with two stories and women's, men's and children's offerings. I tried on heaps of clothing and ended up going home with a fun grey jumper whose sleeves you can turn up to reveal a bright blue inside lining, an oversized sweatshirt dress and a cashmere hat. COS is definitely worth a look if you want to inject some Scandinavian cool into your closet.

This is a family owned business that a father and son runs and they are very kind and are willing to work together with you for a product that you will like. They are right next to Sam's however I would say you are getting the same quality for better service at a better price. Know your materials, and know what styles you want before hand. Because of such cravings for raw fish I can say, with some confidence, that I know some of the best, and worst, sushi places around town. Monster Sushi lies somewhere above the middle. Monster Sushi, in Langham Place, is set up like most sushi joints, a little bit fancier than Sushi One or Genki. There are booths, revolving sushi, and tables for small groups. Quite big you'd assume, and you'd assume correct. Then why is it fuller than an egg every time I visit? A guaranteed wait of about twenty minutes during dinner time is required EVERY day of the week, the silver lining being that it must be doing something right. Inside the sushi itself is pretty good. Looking through the menu I saw a couple 'Monster" signs next to specific pieces. Do not mistake these signs for radioactive Godzilla sushis, although they very well could be. No they are just sushi, except the fish/meat is twice the size - hence the name Monster Sushi. On most occasions I go for the some old dishes. A couple monster eels, a couple monster salmons, some prawn tempura and a california roll or something. I still have my hair, and it's growing in the right places so I've safely ruled out radioactive Godzilla sushi. The food is served relatively fast and finished relatively faster. The quality is, like I mentioned, above average but it's just the wait that gets to me. On a night that I'm craving sushi I'd rather go to a place that offers worse food but with the certainty I can simple show up and get served.
