I've bought everything from MCM wicker to homemade plaster face masks-- who I have named are Harold and Sam-- to odds and ends dinnerware and appliances. (Did you know you can still find glass Tang pitchers??) I'm also a huge fan of their photo frames and art collection... Everything is priced to move, and I have bought beautiful antique frames for my own artwork for a fraction of the typical cost. These prices can't be beat! I'm addicted to this experience, and we go out of our way to visit Granny each time we come to Warren. She is the best! I have found a friend in her and it makes it even more fun to visit the store. You really won't often get this kind of special interpersonal interaction at a store anymore. This place is a cannot-miss if you're into affordable antiques and cleaned up secondhand pieces. Everything there begs to come home with me. It's both amazing and horrible, lol. Also, fwiw, this place is quietly/modestly a gay- and trans- friendly environment. As a trans person, I have never once felt unwelcome, nervous, or shit on in here. The staff is lovely, and Granny is literally everyone's grandma. Gotta love a welcoming, normal, safe space! ‍‍ Thanks to Yankee Trading Post in Warren, I have been able to painlessly decorate my new place to match how I always pictured it in my mind.

Adam's Action Figures & Comics ( Adam Sabol ) in Rootstown, Ohio…read more Located right off Route 76 and Route 14 in Rootstown, Ohio, Adam's Action Figures is one of those magical places that looks modest from the outside, but once you walk in, it's like stepping into a wonderland of toys, comics, and nostalgia. This shop has something for everyone. I've had the pleasure of watching this shop grow from the very beginning. In fact, I was Adam Sabol's first customer when he opened, and my dollar bill still hangs on the wall to this day. It's been amazing to watch how far the shop has come -- it's a full-blown collector's paradise. Every inch of the store is filled with something cool -- from carefully displayed, carded figures lining the walls to bins and bags of treasure waiting to be dug through. The chaos is part of the charm, and yet somehow everything feels just right. If you're into DC, Marvel, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, or pretty much any toy line that ever meant something, odds are you'll find it here. Adam himself is one of the best parts of the experience. He's incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the hobby, always down to chat about comics, toys, or the state of the industry. He gets new comics in weekly and is constantly updating his stock with fresh CGC-graded books and recent collections -- so the inventory is always evolving. Beyond toys and comics, the shop also carries nostalgic items like t-shirts, lunchboxes, comic supplies, and more. Whether you're coming from Akron or making a stop on your way to Youngstown, it's absolutely worth the detour. Adam is also a fixture on the convention circuit and someone we always look forward to seeing at NEO ComicCon. Be sure to swing by the shop on May 3rd for Free Comic Book Day -- it's a perfect time to experience everything the shop has to offer. @neocomiccon @adamsactionfiguresandcomics In short, Adam's Action Figures isn't just a store -- it's an experience, and one that keeps getting better every time you visit.

All American Cards and Comics in Boardman is a fantastic extension of the Warren location--think of it less as a carbon copy and more like Warren's little brother with its own distinct charm. Housed in a convenient strip mall, it's a bit more compact, but that actually works in its favor. The layout is streamlined, clean, and incredibly well-organized, making it easy to browse whether you're hunting for back issues, the latest comics, Magic: The Gathering singles, or gaming supplies. While it may not have the same size as the Warren location, this shop holds its own with a focused selection and top-notch customer service. Every major purchase I've made from owner Greg Bartholomew has come from this very store, and the quality has always been outstanding. Most recently, I picked up a pristine copy of All-Star Comics featuring the first appearance of Power Girl. One major highlight is the adjacent gaming annex. Instead of cramming tables into the retail space, they've dedicated a separate area next door for gaming. This keeps the main store open, easy to navigate, and free of clutter--perfect for collectors and casual browsers alike. Whether you're a Magic player looking for rare cards, a comic collector searching for that elusive issue, or just someone who appreciates a well-run local shop, this location is definitely worth a visit. And don't forget--they're always buying Magic cards and comics too, so bring your extras! Greg Bartholomew
