The fish was tender, perfectly cooked, and complemented beautifully by a delicate lemon butter sauce with capers that added just the right balance of brightness and flavor. The pasta was rich, comforting, and generously portioned, making the dish both satisfying and memorable. Alongside it, I had the opportunity to try the Mama's Lasagna, and it truly lived up to its name. Every layer tasted as though it came straight from a family kitchen rather than a commercial chain restaurant. Rich tomato sauce, melted cheese, and hearty flavors combined to create that unmistakable feeling of homemade comfort food. To finish, I enjoyed a classic Tiramisu paired with a perfectly pulled espresso. What stood out just as much as the food was the overall experience. The wait time was very reasonable, the service was warm and attentive, and our waitress was genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and every dish reflected care and attention to detail. In a world increasingly dominated by corporate dining concepts, it is refreshing to find a restaurant that still serves food with authenticity, tradition, and soul. If you are looking for honest Italian comfort food, generous portions, excellent value, and a dining experience that feels personal rather than commercial, this is absolutely a place worth visiting. I will gladly return.

Food got mixed reactions - Andrew's pistachio crusted trout was fantastic, per him, no sharing his lunch! My Chicken piccata was very salty. Most of the feed back was positive! We had some very interesting characters; one order: sautéed spinach & tiramisu Serviced together, ( our waiter actually had them served on separate plates My only issue was the bill was partially unreadable ! So if that's the only negative I will still say 5 stars ! One of the food runners said next time specifically say no salt or whatever your request is. We had a gluten free person and they had really decent GF pasta !!!

Had a very friendly server , she came by the table several times, but forgot one key service. Didnt refill my water glass once all meal. Food was average, my meatballs were smaller than other places, and pasta could of used more sauce. Wife said lobster ravioli were ok. Foods not bad just wasn't like some of my favorites. I did like their free bread with the oil. It was an ok change of pace, music playing in the restaurant was a nice touch. Kind of loud when in the bathroom though.

Had an amazing first experience at New York Pizza Plus this summer!…read more I am not from this area, so I visited here for lunch on the recommendation of some locals. We stopped on a Thursday in July for lunch on our way into Gainesville. The store is located on the corner of a strip of several businesses. There is a shared parking lot for the strip, but we did not have any trouble finding a spot. The restaurant was healthily busy, but we were seated right away. The inside is cozy, but can accommodate larger groups in the back room. I was in a group of 5, and we all opted to eat at the lunch buffet. Having previously eaten at chain pizza buffets, I did not expect the variety and quality that this buffet offered. In addition to a plethora of pizza and bread options, there were various cold salads (such as chicken, tuna, traditional salad, etc), and hot pasta and Italian dishes. It was an amazing spread! I had to make sure my eyes were not bigger than my stomach, since everything looked so good. I started off with a plate of salads and cold items. I love a traditional salad bar, but my favorite from this was the pesto pasta. Next, I tried some of the hot Italian dishes and pizzas - including the meatballs, hot pasta, and several pizza varieties. I did not have a bite of food that I did not like. It truly all was so wonderful. Not only was the food awesome, but so was the price. For the lunch buffet, it was under $100 for five to eat (cannot recall exact price, but I believe it was around $14 or $15 per person). I do not think you would find a better deal for a better meal in the area than this, for the price. The staff and service were great. My drink was refilled several times, and I noticed the buffet was refilled frequently. No complaints on either front. I could not recommend this place enough! I would encourage everyone to visit for the lunch buffet, it is truly a deal you cannot beat. I can't wait until we're back in the area so I can visit here again!
