I've only been here once, but am definitely going back…read more My last hairstylist at a place in City Center THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED drastically messed up my color when I asked for rose gold, forcing me to box dye my hair twice in less than 24 hours. So, needless to say, when I sat in Jensen's chair a couple months later, my hair was a nasty, snarled mess. Jensen was THE SWEETEST! First, she knows how to cut fine hair. My style is so cute. She helped restore health to my hair and gave me tips on how to maintain that health. We then discussed how we should proceed in my color journey going forward. She also asked me questions about myself, and it felt super genuine and conversational, not forced at all. My last girl had a fake vibe about her, but Jensen was super complimentary and even gave me a hug goodbye! The place is super cute inside. Light, airy, and modern. When you pull up outside, you can tell it's an old 7-11, but don't let that fool you. It's a little on the pricier side, even for a jr. stylist, but you're paying for GOOD quality and GREAT customer service. I am refraining from giving 5 stars because I have only gone once and am excited to see what they do with my color in the future.

I have no idea where to start. I came to see Brittany for hair extensions... something I have…read morewanted for years because my natural hair is so thin. First off, I was over charged for the hair. The website of the hair Brittany uses has much cheaper prices than what I paid for the hair. Second, after only two weeks of having my hair extensions in, the color stripped out of them and they turned a horrible blonde color (I'm a brunette). While Brittany did put toner in them for me free of charge, the same thing happened again two weeks later. One can only assume something is wrong with the quality of the hair I just dropped $400 on. It's important to note that I also used all of the recommended products throughout this process . Anyway, after the extensions faded the second time, I was told there was nothing more they could do for me and I would have to purchase all new hair and start over. Let me also add that Brittany charges $325 per hour for for installation, so "starting over" would be another $700 investment. This is when I decided to go to a different salon for a second opinion. And this is where things get interesting. The new salon I went to was willing to work with the hair that I already had so that I didn't need to buy new hair right away. And the new salon I'm going to only charges **$80** per row of hair for installation. I had two rows, so $160 was still a great price compared to Brittany. When I went to my new salon to have my extensions moved up, I was HORRIFIED at what they discovered. Brittany had installed my extensions SO TIGHTLY that it literally ripped my hair out of my scalp. I could not believe the amount of my hair falling to the ground as they combed through it. I lost at least half of my natural hair due to Brittany's careless installation. I literally sat in my chair at the new salon sobbing at the sight before me. My hair... just gone. I put my trust into Brittany to help me with something that made me insecure to begin with and now I'm left worse off than where I started. Something that was always my dream so quickly has become my worst nightmare. Oh, and it's important to add that I was seeing these little white hair follicles all along, but I thought it was part of the extensions themselves. It wasn't until today that I learned it was my natural hair follicles that had been yanked out of my scalp. Which means that when I went to Brittany to have to her put toner in the hair the first time, she also saw these follicles and neglected to do or say anything about them. Careless, negligent, money-oriented. That's all I have to say. If you're in the market for hair extensions, avoid Brittany at all costs. You're getting overcharged for careless service, and there are MUCH better salons in Coastal Virginia that actually care about YOU and not your money. I am so horrified at my experience and the physical damages done to my scalp/hair that I will pursue legal action.

My mother provided it before, but I wasn't ready to take over the process yet. I brought him in to the salon, for a trim. The stylist cleaned him up quite nicely, sculpting the facial hair deftly, and bringing better definition to what had become rather rough. It was nice, quiet, efficient, and fast. Lovely place, and if my wife and I lived closer, I'd be recommending this salon to her.

That's fine. I still have paid just around $150ish, even when I started and restarted the highlighting process. My hair is mid length, just below shoulders and looked "puffy" (Caucasian / Hispanic frizz) bc I washed, brushed and didn't straighten beforehand. I have been going to similar salon/spa in yorktown to get my hair done at a salon that is gorgeous inside and out. Same at my old Virginia Beach salon. Average pay is around $150ish for cut and full highlight! (I had to Google what the common costs were bc the owner was a bit snarky on my review. I'm not crazy! $350 is like NYC 2022 highlight prices or high end. Toner is only supposed to add a small amount extra.) I would understand if charged more for a super cute spa facility (see outside photos - it's in the corner of a big lots shopping center), or if the prices listed online would've given me any heads up, but what a waste of time to get a consultation at a seemingly hole-in-the-wall facility at such an excessive cost. (The inside was way cuter than the outside, but I wouldn't be comfortable walking around the area at night...)

There is a picture of the subpar manicure I received on their Facebook page from my visit on…read more10/07/22. The nail tech caused my fingers to bleed, took all the length off my nails and left them rough and uneven. The polish was applied with so many thick layers that three hours later it still was tacky wet- this is after the technician used quick dry spray to help. I had my visit prepaid and they tried to leave a service off. They had to move my appointment because the person who was supposed to do one of my services walked out that day. They stopped during my massage to go call the owner to figure it out. I reached out via email to give the owner a chance to rectify the situation but never received a response. The facials are incredible and the only reason I gave 2 stars. I have included a photo of the reciept and Mani Pedi since the owner is claiming I wasn't there.

Twice I have made appointments online and twice these appointments have magically disappeared…read moreresulting in a wasted trip. First time, the salon said they called to cancel my appointment, then they said the appointment wasn't there to begin with, then blamed it on a "system error" because all of the massage therapist had quit. Not sure why all the different stories, just say sorry and make it right! They made me another appointment for the following week for a 90 minutes deep tissue massage, arrived and the therapist told me that she didn't "have time" for a 90 minute so I ended up getting a 60 minute massage, despite the appointment on the books being scheduled as a 90 minute massage. It actually was a really nice massage, so wanted to try to get another one. Just arrived back from another appointment that my husband made three weeks prior; I tried to call to confirm, no one answered the phone, arrived to find out the appointment wasn't scheduled. Realized the appointment I made was with a therapist that is no longer listed on the website. Obviously, I won't go back as they will not take responsibility for their errors and the online system is horrible. Definitely do not recommend as they cannot seem to get their own scheduling issues resolved. La Bella likes to respond that negative reviews are phony reviews...this one is not.
