This is the worst hair cut i have ever get in my life. I came in with a long V-shape layer hair. I told her i only want cut 3inches and keep my V-shape layer style. She didnt listen and chopped it for 6-7inches. My hair is so short and uneven now. No where close to what i asked for. They dont understand how long it take to grow long hair. The stylist was halfway through a highlight on another customer after waiting 20 minutes when she sent the customer to process, she walked up to me and said are you still wanting to get your highlights today? The whole purpose of the appointment was for me the way she said it was very rude. Made me feel uncomfortable that if I said, yes, she would be upset and I didn't want someone upset doing my hair and if I said no, she was happy to take the boys then in the middle, so she cut all three boys hair she had text messaged me a price I go up to pay the girl at the desk says to me that's two little boys haircuts an adult male men's haircut and a partial highlight. It was all I could do not to say do I look like I got my hair highlighted when we were only there in an hour and a half.. the price was way more then she had text me . She did not wash or dry the boys hair. on top of it, she says to me well we could've done your highlights but I need to finish the other customer firsts seriously I am going to wait an hour while she finished her. I don't have the time and she knew how hard it is for me to come on weekdays. she still had a customer that just had her foils removed and was just washed by "an assistant who still was getting a cut and blowout. I think it was rude. It was disrespectful and she owes me an apology. I will never go there again. She kept offering to reschedule me well again my time is very limited once baseball season starts for the boys. I don't get any time that's why this Saturday was so important February 14. I have no idea where to start. I came to see Brittany for hair extensions... something I have…read morewanted for years because my natural hair is so thin. First off, I was over charged for the hair. The website of the hair Brittany uses has much cheaper prices than what I paid for the hair. Second, after only two weeks of having my hair extensions in, the color stripped out of them and they turned a horrible blonde color (I'm a brunette). While Brittany did put toner in them for me free of charge, the same thing happened again two weeks later. One can only assume something is wrong with the quality of the hair I just dropped $400 on. It's important to note that I also used all of the recommended products throughout this process . Anyway, after the extensions faded the second time, I was told there was nothing more they could do for me and I would have to purchase all new hair and start over. Let me also add that Brittany charges $325 per hour for for installation, so "starting over" would be another $700 investment. This is when I decided to go to a different salon for a second opinion. And this is where things get interesting. The new salon I went to was willing to work with the hair that I already had so that I didn't need to buy new hair right away. And the new salon I'm going to only charges **$80** per row of hair for installation. I had two rows, so $160 was still a great price compared to Brittany. When I went to my new salon to have my extensions moved up, I was HORRIFIED at what they discovered. Brittany had installed my extensions SO TIGHTLY that it literally ripped my hair out of my scalp. I could not believe the amount of my hair falling to the ground as they combed through it. I lost at least half of my natural hair due to Brittany's careless installation. I literally sat in my chair at the new salon sobbing at the sight before me. My hair... just gone. I put my trust into Brittany to help me with something that made me insecure to begin with and now I'm left worse off than where I started. Something that was always my dream so quickly has become my worst nightmare. Oh, and it's important to add that I was seeing these little white hair follicles all along, but I thought it was part of the extensions themselves. It wasn't until today that I learned it was my natural hair follicles that had been yanked out of my scalp. Which means that when I went to Brittany to have to her put toner in the hair the first time, she also saw these follicles and neglected to do or say anything about them. Careless, negligent, money-oriented. That's all I have to say. If you're in the market for hair extensions, avoid Brittany at all costs. You're getting overcharged for careless service, and there are MUCH better salons in Coastal Virginia that actually care about YOU and not your money. I am so horrified at my experience and the physical damages done to my scalp/hair that I will pursue legal action.

She was talking so loudly with people which is totally fine to have conversation; but to do it so loudly without a concern for the customer your servicing is crazy. I wanted to come back but I don't think I'll ever go back again because I wouldn't want her to touch my head again. I still felt the pain of the hair pull and rip all night and I still get anxiety thinking of all the hair she pulled out. It has taken me a long time to regrow my hair. I treat my head gently. There is no reason why anyone should be pulling your hair during a wash. I wish I could go back in time and never let this girl touch my head. Sean took 5 hours and charged me $390 for a haircut and highlights that takes 2 hours and costs $260 at a high end salon in Washington DC. To top it off, I was left with lots of breakage and unsightly bleeders where the color expanded during processing and leaked out of the top of the foils. When prompted to apply a toner by the person who washed my hair, he said no. He was aware of the issue and did nothing to fix it. I didn't see all the bleeders until I got home, because of the way he styled my hair to hide his mistakes, I've allowed enough time to pass since this unfortunate incident to thoughtfully consider how to word this review.

I was perplexed when the owner Kelly Boyce, was asked by Velda to blow dry my hair while Velda was curing my daughter's hair. Because Kelly saw a deer with headlights, another hair stylist stepped up to the plate. Teamwork is what makes things run efficient. Kudos to Velda and the stylist that blow dried my hair.
