Incredibly personable stylist (Tracey) who gave me exactly the cut I needed. Thank you!

I had not had a haircut since the spring when Covid hit, and was in need of one badly before I started a new job. I saw Amazing Cuts near my house and decided to give it a try. I was the only one in and the stylist was very attentive. I asked her advice on what do do with my hair, and she offered her expertise. She cut and styled my hair after asking me along the process for my thoughts and we made a couple of adjustments. It was washed and conditioned and looked very healthy. I was very pleased and my hair cut looked very professional and well done. Then I got a facial treatment and a neck massage and it was great! I felt so good when I left there and it was very modestly priced. I have already recommended Amazing Cuts to several others. read more

One afternoon my daughter (23 y.o.) decided she wanted a hair cut (not a trim...a new style) but we didn't know where to go. I told her we could make an appointment somewhere but she really wanted it cut that day. So, I pulled up AppleMaps and searched for "hair salons". Amazing Cuts was near us so I pulled it up and looked at the yelp reviews (Note: I don't use yelp very often). The salon had glowing reviews so we decided to give it a try, We were NOT disappointed! The stylist was AMAZING! She talked with my daughter about what she was looking for, then the stylist pulled up pictures on her iPad of style options. They did this until they found just what my daughter wanted. The haircut was perfect and practical. The stylist took into account my daughter wanting something that didn't require a lot of "fixing or fussing". The shape of the haircut is beautiful and so flattering on my daughter. It has to be the best cut she's ever had! We'll definitely be back! read more

I absolutely love the hair dresser and her husband! They make a great team and a friendly environment! I walked in with a few pictures and she was able to give me exactly what I wanted! I walked out feeling beautiful. She even gave me long layers (like I asked) however I have never had layers that I absolutely love! Will be returning. read more

Wow. This was one of the best haircut and eyebrow waxing experiences I've ever had. Tracy is the absolute best. She fit me in on the same day I called for an appointment - even during the pandemic - and she was so diligent with every snip and snap. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't judge a book by its cover. Tracy did an incredible job. She is one of the best stylists and aestheticians I've ever been to. She spent so much time and care on ever single strand of hair and when waxing my eyebrows; I had my eyes closed when she was waxing but when she finished, I could have sworn she took out a whole protractor to get these perfect arches done... Just incredible. Tracy is an absolute artist with scissors and a brush. Better yet, she is a perfectionist. My hair was done exactly as I wanted it done and she was happy to get it cut perfect. Also! She is so nice and wholesome... I am in the military and so I don't usually get attached to hair stylists too much because I move around a lot... Usually, I just pick a random place that is open and I just bounce around. But after this experience, I will not be going to anyone else in the entire coastal Virginia area other than Tracy from now on. And I will recommend her to anyone and everyone I know. I am actually extremely upset that this place doesn't have way more reviews -- 20/10 would 100% recommend! read more

Firstly, they respond to messages quickly. Secondly, and most importantly, Tracy did an AMAZING job. I don't say this lightly because my hair is a very complicated mess. I have combination curly (underneath), wavy, straight hair. It's long (lower back) and I had bangs that were growing out. When it gets wet, it tangles and mats, and is just generally a pain to deal with. She was meticulous when she washed it. Didn't miss a single spot, but managed to be gentle as well. No rough tugs or ripped hair. When she brushed it out, she was so incredibly patient with my hair... again, no tugging, no ripping, about as painfree as I've ever had it be. She never complained (and I've had plenty of hairstylists complain in my lifetime), but just kept brushing it out. Now the amazing part. I've never had a stylist who knew how to handle my combination hair. Usually they cut it straight, and then do everything they can to keep it straight, at the expense of my volume. Tracy KNOWS what she's doing. For the first time ever, I left with incredible waves and volume that I thought had been beaten out of my hair years ago. The skill, the style, the atmosphere... amazing. Highly recommend. They accept credit cards, but I recommend cash. It saves them on the insane credit card transaction fees that credit card companies try to gouge smaller businesses with. Masks are optional, but the stylist wears one, if that's something you are concerned with. I'm bringing my family here from now on. read more

My son hates haircuts and always refuses to go. I tried new salons before but could not get an appointment on time at the usual spot, so I just went to this place and decided to risk since we needed a haircut the same day before the event. We were welcomed and the appt was on time. The salon is clean and has a very relaxing atmosphere. The hairdresser was genuinely nice, and she took her time to listen to my son's "wants" and reviewed some photo ideas from Pinterest. She did not rush the cut and did exactly what my son wanted. She even put on a hot towel afterward which made my son feel special. My son just said: "Mom, you have to leave her a big tip". Now this is our regular place since my son refuses to go anywhere else and enjoys his haircuts. I usually never let anyone touch my hair because I've had bad experiences before but I'm so glad I listened to my friend! I have curly thick hair so I usually always just get a simple cut but I decided to try something new seeing how I've only heard great things about this place. I was a walk-in and it didn't take very long to be seated and whoever the stylist was did AMAZING! I've never walked out a place so happy!! I will most definitely become a regular!! read more

Don't let this small salon on the corner of this plaza think your not walking into a hidden gem. Tracey is wonderful. They have been here for a few years now and Traceys seems to be a well kept secret. I was looking for a new place to keep my hair up in the area....and I think this is it. This was my first experience and it truly was amazing. This is a great value for the price. I went in for the haircut and beard trim based on a referral from a couple of friends. My stylist was very efficient and professional. I love the hot towel treatment and the straight razor. I even received a face and neck massage using Teatree oil! Tracey is so precise and really works to make sure she understands what you want before she ever touches your hair. I had a disaster of a haircut (chunks missing!) that I have been trying to grow out and cover-up. She was able to turn it into a chic slightly angled bob. I also like that she doesn't feel the need to chit chat so I can relax in the chair and enjoy the music while she is focused on my hair. And that shampoo experience - I might go back every week just for that. So relaxing. I will be going back. read more

I used to go to sports clips all the time because I enjoyed watching sports while getting a haircut, the price there and the haircuts kept diminishing over time, I needed to find a permanent hair cut solution and I believe I have found it! Amazing haircuts! 5 stars just for the cut alone, however the staff is extremely friendly and even offer you a coke (or water) after your haircut! They use a hot towel and a straight blade razor for the back of the hair and the experience is all around much better than any other around here I can't recommend this place enough read more
