I've stayed at Timberline a couple times and had a good experience with the condos we got. Each unit is spacious with a full kitchen, one or more bedrooms and we were lucky to get a patio with great views. Unlike other rentals I got, they provide housekeeping daily, when some hotels don't even bother anymore (I know, Covid is the official excuse). Last time, we rented two bedrooms, there where a couple bathrooms, which was very convenient when the four of us wanted to shower. There is also a heated pool and jacuzzi, a game room, restaurant onsite and BBQs for the guests to enjoy. Timberline is located right on the slopes and you can call to get their free shuttle that will bring you to Snowmass base village, come back up using the gondola for fun! read more

The Timberline condos are located slope side next to the Village Chairlift. You have to take the Village Chairlift to the halfway mark to ski down to the condo. From the condo you ski down to start your day and make sure you're dropped off above Timberline to make it back to the condo. Ski racks right next to the slopes are provided for the guests and you can ask the front desk for a lock. You want to keep your skis cold before hitting the mountain or ice will form at the bottom of your skis. The sidewalks and grill area have heated surfaces so you don't have to worry about slipping while walking around Timberline. It snowed the entire time while at Timberline during the week of NYE 2021-2022. Most flights were cancelled in and out of Aspen the week of NYE. I watched the flights for 10 days and United was on time maybe once. So we had to drive to and from Denver which wasn't a fun 4+ hour drive. The Condo must have been built around the early 1990s I am guessing. We stayed at two condos because our flight was cancelled and we had to stay an extra night. Sounds like most people missed their first night and stayed an extra night. So get insurance if you can't deal with being flexible. Four of us stayed in a 1 bedroom which worked out great because of the pullout couch and rollaway bed. The 2 bedroom would allow for more room and an extra bathroom but the one bedroom worked. Made most of our meals in the condo and used the grocery delivery service the Timberline recommended which was excellent. The on-site restaurant only serves dinner so prepare to figure out breakfast on your own. The ski in ski out allows you to enjoy skiing without the shuttle hassle and enjoy lunches in your condo! . All the restaurants on the slopes are overcrowded during the holidays so having lunch/rest in the condo was great. Timberline had hot tubs and a hot pool, but we never went because it required us to dress for outside before heading into the pool. They do have an inside changing area. The onsite restaurant had a German flavor and was excellent. Try the fondo for appetizer and dessert. The condo was dated so was the decor but the appliances were updated. Since the condo was dated it doesn't provide enough outlets to meet all your modern electronic needs.. I would bring extension cords or outlet strips to service all your electronics. Both condos had enough heat and had to turn them both down really low to get a comfortable temperature. Parking is provided in two lots next to the condo. Since it snowed so much, ask for the shovel to dig your way out of the parking lot. I wasn't planning on renting a car but since both flights into Aspen were cancelled I had no other option than to rent an AWD SUV in Denver. Glad I did because it was our only transportation to get to our flight in Denver. Timberline provides shuttle service to the Village, Mall, and airport. At times the shuttle ride is needed from the Mall because the 10 minute walk up the hill drains you. We rented from the onsite ski company Incline but it's better to head down to the Mall to rent your skis from the main store because they have a bigger selection. Returned the skis at the Aspen Incline store which was great. Since it was NYE don't miss out on the torchlight parade down the mountain. You take the Village chairlift up and use the torch down the mountain around 6pm at night. We bailed at the condo because we couldn't figure out how we would get back up the mountain to the condo. I guess we could have called the shuttle but didn't want to deal. The fireworks go off up the mountain near the condo so that was cool to watch from the slopes. Don't forget to get your free Smores at the mall at 3:30pm! They go out fast after a long day of skiing. The Mall does provide lots of shops and restaurant options. Overall we had a great time skiing Snowmass and Aspen with all the snow that mother nature provided. The ski in/out option was great and met all our needs. I kept on reading that Snowmass/Aspen was a high end ski resort but I think Vail, Northstar, and Park City have more high end needs on the slopes than Snowmass/Aspen. The cancelled flights and the Denver drive kind of didn't help improve my experience. read more

Starting off 2019 skiing in Aspen/Snowmass was amazing. Staying at Timberline just made the trip that much better. Our condo (in the C section) was right on the end by the mountain, so I only had to take plus or minus 14 steps (and a few stairs) to get on the slopes in the morning. Having never skied in Aspen (or the west, for that matter) my at-home experience usually involves driving, parking, lugging gear, getting lift tickets, changing, lockers, then ski-boot walking to the lift. Not here. I walked out the door at 9:15 and was already whooshing down the hill at 9:19, if I took my time. Amazing. Other than the obvious plus of direct mountain access, I found the condo to be very comfortable and the staff extraordinarily welcoming. There were seven of us in a two-bedroom (plus loft) and we all had plenty of space. Two other things I look for, fast internet and great water pressure, were also a solid check and check. Despite the cold, the pool and two large hot tubs were always on and available, which was a perfect way to end a full day of skiing. There was also a small gym that I used zero times - I work out plenty at home, and skiing all day provided plenty of exercise. Anytime we needed to go somewhere, we could call the front desk to bring us and/or pick us up, which came in handy a few times, mostly when we had to come back up the mountain for something. Parking was easy, and when I was mistakenly given a parking ticket on my registered rental, they took care of it without question. Timberline combines the comfort of a condo with the perks of a hotel, and is a perfect option for a great winter getaway. Can't wait to come back next year! read more

The first time I decided to leave the Sunshine State (Florida) and enter the Colorado Rockies for my first ever ski trip... Timberline was the residence that our "ski package" had set up. I never saw a picture, didn't read into it, just trusted the organizers from our Ski Club. I knew we had trusted the right people the moment we entered the lobby. Rustic and lovely and couldn't wait to see our unit. All the condo units are individually owned which would explain why each unit is decorated differently but I have not been let down yet and have stayed here 3 times already. It's actually the only place I have stayed when coming to ski Snowmass or Aspen. The fact that it is a true Ski-In-Ski-Out destination is what sold me on wanting to re-book this place after the first stay. The road down the mountain to catch buses is heated so no worries about slipping on ice during the ski season. The large pool (giant hot tub) is quite the popular place for apres ski. The location is a short ride via bus from aspen. How many more reasons do you need to hear before you book a room? read more

Location is great, rooms are nice, friendly and helpful check in staff. But the cleaning staff were knocking on our door to come in at 9:45 and again while we were grabbing our things to leave! Way too early of a check out to begin with then they are knocking to get in even before that. read more

I booked a weekend trip with my 12 year old daughter to Glenwood Springs and then home through Aspen. I cancelled the Glenwood Springs trip due to I 70 being closed because of a mudslide. Glenwood cancelled my hotel reservations no problem. Timberline - said there was no reason to cancel my reservation. Now I'm going to Aspen for one night from Colorado Springs because Timberline. The lady at Timberline blamed me and said it was my fault for cancelling my trip for no reason when there's a mudslide and I'd have to detour to get to Glenwood Springs and I don't even know if I can get to Glenwood. She gave zero f#^*'s and had no sympathy for the fact that I'm not going on a trip as advised by CDOT! Will never book with them in the future read more

Great view and great amenities, here's what I learned additionally: - there's no parking immediately next to the condo buildings, must load/unload stuff at a 15 minute spot and park car at a public lot and walk back and forth - the slop from the bottom of the drive up to the condos (with the office in the middle) is pretty steep but when it snows, trucks can be seen to remove the snow and ice, plus we were told that particular slop is being heated. Still, driving a 4-wheel car in the winter might be beneficial. - there are two fancy coffee makers found in our unit, even paper filters are supplied, but no coffee grounds! If I knew I would've brought my own. Yet anything else you can think of in a kitchen is equipped. I'd think I need coffee more than a slow cooker! - the TV in our unit's living room could be a little bigger, in my opinion, and should be upgraded to a flat screen (the ones in the bedroom are!) read more

The condo that I stayed in was three bedrooms and slept 8 people. There were two queen beds each in their own room and four twin beds in another. Each bedroom had their own restroom. The view from our condo was stunning. The only negative part of my experience was that the entire condo had down pillows. You wouldn't think that something so small would have an impact but it made my allergies flare up. A fair warning to anyone else who suffers from allergies. Maintenance and house keeping were wonderful! Any needs we had were quickly met. One of the bathrooms was missing a handle on the shower and the maintenance person came by within 15 minutes. Not only were they quick, they were also very friendly. Another plus of staying here is that they have a shuttle that'll pick you up from anywhere within snowmass during their hours of operation. We stayed here during Tough Mudder weekend. This made parking a huge issue. There weren't enough parking spots so people ended up parking on the sidewalk. I had to park half a mile down the road because of the lack of space. I wouldn't recommend visiting on a busy weekend like this, otherwise be prepared to arrive before the crowd does! I'm sure the parking issue was a rarity. On your next visit to snowmass, be sure to stay at this lovely condo! read more

We booked this condo for five girls. We were expecting three bedrooms. What we got was three bedrooms and a loft with a total of eight beds. It was awesome because we all had our own space. I'm just really impressed with how much space we had over all. The condos had no keys, instead they had a code for the door which was convenient. The service was good and we always came back to a well cleaned condo. They let us check out late too. read more

We have stayed at Timberline twice for the Chili Pepper Brewfest aka Mammothfest and we love it! The condos are huge with a fireplace, a recliner, two tv's full kitchen closet space and balconies etc etc, and the rates are very reasonable. One of the best things about staying anywhere in Snowmass Village is that once you arrive and park your car you don't have to drive anymore.. Their shuttle will take you to the mall, to the fairgrounds, pretty much anywhere in town and you can catch the town shuttle if you want to go to Aspen for the day. The staff is great and very quick and receptive to problems. The first time we couldn't get the cable to work and someone came to the room right away and fixed us up. read more

This is a fabulous place to stay in Snowmass. It's ski in and ski out. The condo itself was great and comfortable. Hot tub and pool are perfect with gorgeous view of the mountains. We had fabulous service from David Monk who picked us up from the airport. He made sure we had everything we needed and even helped us find discounts on rentals and lift tickets. This place is great! Our condominium has a beautiful view! Being in Aspen during Christmas time is great! There's a convenient bus that comes ever so often but you have to make sure you get the bus map from the reception so you can see the schedule. Some buses come more often than others. The people here are great too! If they see you walking up to your condominium and you flag them down they will stop and take you to wherever you need to go which can save you a lot of energy and time! :] read more

The unit we stayed in was definitely showing its age. It was functional but somewhat cramped even for 2 of us. The upstairs bedroom (more of a loft area) had a low sloping ceiling and a lumpy queen bed. Even with the fans going, it was extremely hot when we stayed in June. read more

The condos were a little bit older and outdated than Top of the Village, but the staff here was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure your stay had met your expecations. They even went so far as to install a security latch on the door since they had no deadbolts and this was a security risk for our boys that have autism. Taja and Ellie were fantastic! read more

I was very disappointed with the staff. My one bedroom and one bath unit had a malfunctioning toilet upon arrival. I asked that they get a professional plumber after maintenance failed to fix the toilet on the first try. It took 3 days and 5 attempts by the maintenance staff to finally fix it. The management was very bureaucratic and unresponsive. They refused to credit any part of the fee despite major inconvenience. I will not return in the future. read more

Nice location, beautiful views. unfortunately there is no staff present after 5pm , and their check in starts at 4 pm, a bit confusing when you arrive after 5 not sure what to do were to go and who to ask for help, after 45 min of wandering around finally got somebody on the phone to help out. Might not be big deal but after a 4 hour drive it can get very frustrating. room was clean and nice, but beds and pillows were uncomfortable and the fridge was very noisy sounded like helicopter hovering inside you room very hard to sleep at night. read more

If you're looking for a fantastic mountain resort during the summer, look no further. There isn't air conditioning, but it's not necessary when the weather is so perfect. The room decor is lovely, and the kitchenette is full stocked. The staff is always at the ready and helpful with a shuttle available to pick you up on demand throughout Snowmass. There is a heated pool and ping pong table and a fantastic restaurant, so this place is perfect in our book. read more

We loved staying in this small quiet condo during the summer. We stayed in room 116 and it was the perfect location, near the pool, bar, and laundry. BEWARE. If you have a problem with your room, be prepared to be treated like a liability and not an asset. Have been here several times but mostly in the 1990's. Recent stay in 2015 and had a 1 bedroom condo with a sofa bed that was unusable due to poor condition. Asked for a room change. No. Asked for partial refund due to substandard room. No plus a lecture about sofa beds. Management response was we gave you a cot at no charge. I won't return and recommend you stay elsewhere in Snowmass. read more
