MHA community seemed to have good hearted people in majority. Here are some of the negative experiences we had: Covid management and operations management spoke unprepared and very weak. There isn't much this school has going for it. Take advice from a former student (me, now a…read moresophomore in high school) who had come back to this yelp page to give good feedback for the school and advice for parents thinking about enrolling their student. First, don't base the enrollment of your student off this review but please take note as to what your child might experience at this school. Now, into my insight on this school. Though I had been there only from 1st-6th I had to transfer due to poor ability to put kids in the right classes and an awful 1:35 male to woman staff employment. As you can tell, it is very uncommon to have very little male staff members, and you might be wondering "could this school give more opportunity to succeed for a girl rather than a boy" the answer is yes. many sexist teachers flood the school every year and they seem to have a vendetta against male students. Though this could be blindly overlooked when your student is younger, by 5th grade, it becomes very obvious. Second, the teachers' ability to teach proper lessons is awful. The school hires younger teachers so they can pay them less, in hope to save money. It also seems that training doesn't exist at this school because some teachers seem very clueless as to what new students might need for resources. In all, this school should not be your primary choice but feel free to overlook this comment

We are so impressed with Orchard Valley. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Each of the classrooms have bright colors and lots of toys. Communication is great, as they send a weekly email and even daily updates on how your child did. The one and only reason this isn't a five star review is there seems to be staffing issues. I know this isn't the teachers' fault, but from time to time they struggle to have enough teachers in each classroom and can sometimes combine classes if a teacher is sick or has a day off. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Orchard Valley Learning Center.

I do not recommend enrolling your children at Orchard Valley. The director is irresponsable,…read moreunorganized, and unwilling to make an effort to correct her mistakes. While, ideally the school director would be competent enough to resolve any issues on her own, that is unfortunately not the case here. In addition, corporate office is set up for employees and has no contacts for parents of the students. I was beyond disappointed and both of my children were miserable. In response... That was actually not the case at all. I was told on Friday morning by Janie that there was "definitely availability" for both of my children. I explained our special circumstances and that we needed Orchard Valley specifically because of one of their employees. I was told that I would be able to start my children the next week and there was no mention of a deposit. When I called Monday morning, I was told that there were no spaces, it was my fault, and I was hung up on. So yes, my review is accurate, and proven more so by the fact that no one involved has taken any responsibility or offered any solution, yet they have found the time to try to defend themselves on a public forum. If there are any specific accusations that you "Jason" would like to deny I would be happy to address them... Bottom line... I've never even been in direct contact with this facility, or in contact at all with their parent company, and as you can see they are not at all interested in helping their parents or students.

I am so surprised this school allows the receptionist they have for hire represent the staff here…read more She's rude, nasty acting, ALWAYS frowned up, and careless about nicely greeting people that comes inn. My child has been here for 2 years now and Ms.Rhonda (the main secretary) has always been nasty and rude to not just me but other parents as well. One parent loudly asked her one day "why do you always pick on me & act nasty when I'm just walking my son to breakfast? Just stop it!" I can tell the secretary was embarrassed from the confrontation and everyone around looked like they wanted to applaud that mom. It felt like she took up for us all in a sense. The teachers are resourceful and nice, I'm just baffled how the principle allows someone with such a nasty demeanor represent the staff. I'm sure there are more complaints if people had the time to write a review about it.
