His wife works at a local school and they have a younger preschooler, being that I was actively looking to replace CLA for our girl, I inquired who they took their kid to. He told me Parker Lansing and that all 4 of his kids had gone there. I figured his wife being a teacher would have higher standards. So I called a few days later, and they told me I could pop in any time. I literally showed up 3 minutes later. I chatted up a parent on my way into our tour in the lot and she said her daughter had been through 3 day cares before PL and they saw such a positive attitude shift when she started PL. After Taube gave me a tour, I pathetically begged to enroll her, yeah, there was zero poker face! I knew my girl would love it (she was with me and it was hard to peel her away from the playground during the tour). I ran home and had all of her paperwork in less than a few hours! I did not want to chance losing the one spot she had left, even though she knew I was serious and had already marked it as taken for us (seriously I just couldn't risk it!). Well, today was her 4th day. My little one who would CRY, BEG, and PLEAD me to not take her to CLA, now RUNS down to her class in the morning and when I pick her up the usual "mama!" met with excitement is now replaced with "ahh, go away, I don't wanna stop playing." She LOVES it! My husband asked her today " do you like your new school?" Her response "you have NO IDEA!" . I could go on and on, but I'll probably run out of room. This place is awesome! The owners TRULY enjoy and have a passion for what they do! Their summer schedule is water days once a week and they bring in an outside vendor like reptiles or face painting on Wednesday's! Seriously I want to go there! I'm so glad I trusted my mama instincts to leave CLA bc it lead us to Parker Landing and our girl could not be happier!

Uniforms are required and they have many extracurricular activities that your children may be able to participate in. The teachers are AMAZING. The ability grouping teachers are phenomenal. Wish I could give them a score of 10 stars. A rarity for me to give this high score.

The teacher also didn't seem to discipline a kid who kept pushing the other kids on the playground, as it never got resolved. drop off/pickup is a NIGHTMARE. the preschool parents have to work around the regular school pickup/drop off. they won't let you park to pick up your kid if the school is still doing elementary pickup, even if theyre super late and it's preschool pickup time. but yet I'd you're late on other days you have to pay a fee. they have no care for parents schedules. the preschool does not follow rules/guidelines by health department in regards to masks. I also was not yet 100% sold on paying for a Christian education. She did a year of Montessori preschool and two years at a homeschool hybrid. This process of exploration over three years helped me gain clarity on what we want to prioritize in our children's education. It ultimately led us back to SCS, with grateful hearts. She returned to SCS as a first grader this past school year and I was completely blown away. I'll touch on three areas of 'insider insight' that I couldn't have known about until we were part of the school: community, discipleship and spiritual maturity. Community Community is of utmost importance to me, especially coming from a small, tightly-knit homeschool community at our previous school. SCS not only met, but exceeded my expectations for a parent community. I immediately felt plugged in and connected to the parent community just by jumping into a few of the many opportunities for parent involvement like Parents in Prayer, Mom's Time Out, Women's Bible Study, Room Parent and Volunteer XC / Track Coach. Raising our children in a community of like-minded, trustworthy, faithful and believing families is high on our priority list and brings so much peace of mind. I have connected with and really love and enjoy, not just a handful of families, but SO many families at SCS! Discipleship We truly felt that our daughter's teacher and all of her 'specials' teachers (PE, Music, Art & Library) partnered with us in training her up in the ways she should go. A biblical worldview and curriculum is woven throughout all subjects. As such, we have a consistency of discipleship from home, to church, to school. Spiritual Maturity Growing in my own spiritual maturity over the past three years and critically thinking about what I want our kids to take away from their education convinced me of the importance of investing in a Christian education, including any sacrifice necessary to make that happen. This first year back at SCS only affirmed and solidified that decision for me. I recently attended the last chapel of the year which featured two graduating eighth grade speakers. I was moved to tears by the spiritual maturity of these two young ladies. The spiritual fruit of a Christian education was evident in their words. I left challenged, moved, and hopeful for my own young children's experience. My own daughter demonstrated so much spiritual growth this past year too. From the conversations we had, to the Bible stories she recounted to me, to the songs, pledges and other things she memorized - her little heart was captured. The culmination being when she gave her heart to Jesus toward the end of the year. Her teacher emailed my husband and I to share the good news and I just cried and praised God. Our daughter's first grade teacher and SCS are forever a part of our family's eternal story and we are beyond grateful. This school is educating for eternity and, as a parent, I can think of nothing more valuable.

The counselor seems involved and like he cares, but when it comes down to it he passes blame and plays as if he doesn't know what's going on and he wasn't involved in the group conversation. Once the administration makes up their mind, it doesn't matter what your child does, they have decided they want them out. Most of the parents are fine, but many seem very impressed with themselves. We were thrilled that there was an opening in 6th grade for the upcoming year at Denver Academy.

(Only the five star reviews were listed on Niche.com which makes me wonder what other reviews are not included on their website.) My son has attended Aspen Academy from kindergarten, now in fourth grade. If you want a full on business and leadership program for your child, then the school is well designed. Our son is cognitively gifted and grasps math concepts quickly. Aspen Academy does not offer acceleration, nor true differentiation in the classroom. You would be better off at a good neighborhood public school. Their culture of kindness is great. Aspen Academy changes their curriculum every 3 years, so as a parent you'll need to be on top of what your kid is learning. For Conservative Christians, be on guard, because the curriculum chosen for literature and social studies in 2025, has teachings from Buddhism and Hinduism. Very controversial content to be aware of, including some pieces being read from books that have some racist content. We were promised the 'racist portions' would not be read to our son. There are some teachers and staff we love there, who we wish all the best. May God bless them!

First, don't base the enrollment of your student off this review but please take note as to what your child might experience at this school. Now, into my insight on this school. Though I had been there only from 1st-6th I had to transfer due to poor ability to put kids in the right classes and an awful 1:35 male to woman staff employment. As you can tell, it is very uncommon to have very little male staff members, and you might be wondering "could this school give more opportunity to succeed for a girl rather than a boy" the answer is yes. many sexist teachers flood the school every year and they seem to have a vendetta against male students. Though this could be blindly overlooked when your student is younger, by 5th grade, it becomes very obvious. Second, the teachers' ability to teach proper lessons is awful. The school hires younger teachers so they can pay them less, in hope to save money. It also seems that training doesn't exist at this school because some teachers seem very clueless as to what new students might need for resources. In all, this school should not be your primary choice but feel free to overlook this comment
