HIGHLY recommend this company for tree work. You might think they are expensive, but you know the old saying "you get what you pay for", trust me, with this company you will say in the long run. They showed in full force to cut down 8 HUGE oak trees for us. Brought in top notch equipment to do the job right. I say this because I have had and seen other companies with old trucks, chippers and small equipment used to carry the heavy logs. They barely run and due to being outdated, destroy a yard. Absolutely horrible customer service. It took an entire week for Matt to reach out, and then he tried to schedule for Memorial Monday which I said was fine, but did remind him that it was a holiday. His response was I don't look at calendars.  Then I asked if he could come on the 8Th. and he said yes. I asked what time, and zero response. I followed up 8 hours later and he said I don't schedule out that far.  I told him don't bother. TRT did a very nice job protecting our yard and cleaning up all the trees and the debris. They worked very quickly and were very safety conscious. They have fantastic equipment and they are very skilled at operating it. However, my recommendation is to get a second opinion before you make a decision....wish I had. We had two sets of co-dominant trees that they highly recommended to be cut down because they were potentially dangerous trees (could fall on the house) with a supposed carpenter ant infestation in the one pair. After the trees were cut down it turned out to there was zero evidence of rot or carpenter ants. The tree did have a big fault line where the two trees connected at the stem which was a cause for concern because it causes weakness in both trees. Dustin mentioned cabling the tree and doing plant care but it was going to be thousands of dollars with no guarantee of success (if it actually had rot which it turned out it did not). I understand that no one knows the true state of a tree till they get into the work but I am beyond sad that I cut down 60+ year old oak trees that maybe didn't need to be removed after all. So I'd definitely suggest getting a second opinion if you're not completely sure. Also, he did not put tar over the stumps and now it appears I have oak wilt happening which needs to be addressed. read more

I recommend getting quotes from several other companies before you make the mistake of going with Timber Ridge Tree Service. Their prices are outrageous. I had a huge maple cut down and that was expensive enough, but then they charged extra for removal, then extra for stump grinding, and then they wanted extra again for removing the wood chips caused by the stump grinding. When I explained the past tree removal service I had used included all of this in their initial estimate, they never bothered to respond to me. Unacceptable and I did let all of my neighbors know about my experience. read more

Our experience would have been positive if it hadn't been for the fine print. They were expensive, but they had the right equipment to skillfully navigate wires and a tight space while minimizing damage to our lawn. When we initially talked to Dustin, we agreed that they would remove two trees but that we only needed one stump ground. The estimate stated "no stump grinding" for one of the trees but not the other. After they completed the tree removal and did some air spading, we asked about the stump removal but were told it wasn't included in the estimate and were directed to the fine print in the estimate that states that stump removal is only included if expressly stated. After spending $4,000, this left a bad taste in our mouth, given that the estimate stated "no stump grinding included" for one tree and not the other. They refused to see the ambiguity in their estimate and hid behind a technicality. Make sure you read the fine print. read more

BEWARE!! You WILL be taken advantage of if the owner is able to - by word of their own mouth! Take a look at BBB and see for yourself (No, I have not put a claim in but a few before me have) $2000 to "remove" a ~40ft cedar tree and 10ft ornament tree! Stump grinding not included nor will they treat your property well. We also had a large tree removal quoted for $8000!!! This review is only for the customer service. I am not able to review the product, as the delivery of mulch was never made. After ordering, a time was scheduled for the delivery. The time came and went. At 7pm I called and was told they had stopped delivering hours ago. They apologized and said they would do it first thing the following morning of the next day. Once it was noon and there was no delivery or contact made, I called to see what the deal was. I was told he could not talk to me because he was trimming trees. I got a call back 20 minutes later saying they could "maybe" deliver the mulch 2-3 days from now. If the customer service is that poor I can't imagine the product. read more

If you expect prompt, professional, responsive customer service, look elsewhere. After contacting Timber Ridge and being given "Dustin" as my arborist to contact via text, I promptly did so. Again and again and again. Finally, I wrote to ask if he had any intention of responding because I was quite concerned about losing some expensive trees. Woo hoo! He responded to send photos--which I did within 5 minutes of getting his text. NO response--again! I waited another week plus. Nothing. I was stunned by his rudeness and utter lack of concern for his reputation. I then emailed the company/person who did first respond timely to my first contact to relate the 8 weeks of being ignored. He/she never responded either. Now I learn Dustin is the owner! I have never written a negative Yelp review ever. read more

We received excellent service from Timber Ridge. We had several trees on the lot of our new home that were threatening to hit our house in a storm. I don't think we've ever worked with a company more prompt or responsive. Turnaround time on replying to messages was under 24 hours (sometimes way under!). We accepted our quote one evening and they were able to come out the next morning and got these four trees cleared out in about two hours! Dustin and all of his crew members were friendly and professional. They cleaned up the site well and worked quickly while they were here. Pricing was competitive with another quote we got. We had 7 VERY large trees dead and/or dying from needle cast disease. After getting estimates from several companies, we realized that due to difficult access to our backyard, removal of the trees was going to require a lot of manual labor....thus would be expensive. Timber Ridge's bid was competitive and the owner, Dustin, was very knowledgeable. He said they would take steps to avoid lawn and landscape damage as much as possible when bringing down these large trees, something other companies said could not be done. Due to the potential damage several of the trees would cause to the neighbor's house if they came down during a storm, they got us on the schedule right away. Andy was the crew leader; he and the crew were professional and came with some impressive equipment. Before bringing in the equipment, they protected the yard with plywood. They worked tirelessly for two full days and just left. There is not a speck of debris anywhere (Andy even used a blower to clean the street.) We are amazed and impressed; it is not often you find a company that does exactly what they say they will do and does it with excellence. We would highly recommend Timber Ridge. read more

When I retained this company I asked about lawn damage, hoping to avoid that with whoever I hired. I was assured that this was rarely an issue and that they would put plywood down to protect the lawn from their equipment. After missing the first appointment to remove the tree they came on a day it had rained a lot, did NOT protect the lawn in any way and tore it up badly. I called immediately when I saw the damage and was told someone would come out, which they did. The person who came out sent a crew to fill the holes and ruts with soil and I was told they could not hydroseed at that time but would return in the spring. I was told I should just call and make sure I got on the schedule. I did this and got on the schedule but no one showed. When I called I was told the manager would call me back. When Dustin Meyer called back he set out to prove I had signed a contract that absolved them of responsibility for damage to the lawn (very professional!). He also told me that he would do the hydroseed anyway since I'd been told they would . It has now been almost a year and I still have a badly damaged lawn that has not been seeded and is growing lots of weeds because we held off on weed killer anticipating seeding. I am a VERY unhappy customer and do NOT recommend this company! read more

These folks are top notch. I HIGHLY recommend this company, VERY professional. They took out a 60 ft Catulpa tree in my back yard, right next to the house, which had limbs hanging over my house as well as the neighbors house. The first truck arrived at 8:05 am & by 11:05 nothing left but the stump. The crew cleaned up everything and I will say, the yard looks better now than when they got here. They provide horrible mulch. Had terrible weeds last spring almost immediately after putting down their mulch. Also got Grubbs last fall after 12 years in our house and never having them....not certain but feel like those are the result of using their products. read more

I DO NOT recommend this company! They increased their original quote and when I questioned it they said they would do extra pruning but they did not follow through. The 1.5 day job turned into 12 days(16 including the time it took to repair the damages to my garage done at 10:30pm). They broke my gate, they fixed it but said it was already broken. I was told they could prune my pine tree to a certain size, what they did was not even close and they refused to prune it any smaller. They pruned my deciduous tree, but only one side of it, then complained about having to even it out, after which it looks even worse! They complained about everything. They start late in the day, and often leave early because its too hot out! They did not keep me informed, they would say they were coming then not show up. They are smooth talkers, do not believe them! When they asked why I was not satisfied with the job they just argued with me. Also go by Pembridge Tree Service. read more

Signed a contract to have a tree in my yard pruned and trimmed. Signed back in November. After countless promises to do the work, it still has not been performed.
