What a great retreat. I was apprehensive about attending Timber Creeks weekend retreat, I just did not know what to expect, especially going by myself. I almost cancelled a few times but at the last minute I decided to take the leap, I am so happy I did. I felt pampered all weekend. I was able to fully disconnect (or not).
The entire property is beautifully done, the rooms, the public areas, the landscaping, trails etc. Everything was pristine and well maintained.
My room was large but cozy and relaxing, the bed was comfortable with soft sheets, blankets, and pillows. I was given one of the king rooms with two chairs and a private bathroom, it was beautiful. Windows everywhere, I felt like I was staying in a treehouse. From what I could tell, all the rooms were designed to have a great view of nature.
The public areas are wonderful for reading, bird/animal watching, journaling and more. I could always find a place to chill on my own or find a place with the group. The trails and outdoor spaces are maintained very well. The trail provided short and longer trails both trails were easy, peaceful and quiet.
Chef Heather made amazing meals. Everything was healthy and delicious and was clearly made with care. The staff helping with the meals were sweet and accommodating. The flow was wonderful.
Tom and Beth are the sweetest couple and went out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed. They made conversations easy and were respectful when individuals needed time alone. They are a perfect couple to run the retreat.
The guided meditations were great, they were not long, less than 15 minutes. They include stories, quotes, music and more. Anyone can do this, even if you have never meditated before.
Get the massage and the spiritual mentoring. The massage was great and the mentoring gave me some ah-ha moments. Loved both.
Yoga was enjoyable and no, you do not need to be a die hard yogi to do the class. Every level can do the poses.
Recommendation: Just book it and go, you will not regret it. I will be back read more
