It's a bed & breakfast. It's a restaurant once a month. And it's a farmer's market most weekends. Confused? First it's a lovely B&B With Mike & Christine as your hosts. There are 4 suites on the first floor with a huge professional kitchen in the center. Mike was a professional chef, so you can expect some excellent food. The rooms are spacious and the ones I saw had lovely views of hardens, a gazebo & a lake. Mike & Christine also host monthly dinners for locals. For about $50pp and BYOB you can enjoy a multi course dinner in a beautiful setting. Finally, on weekends you can expect to find local farmers offering fruits and vegetables along with vegan/vegetarian cookies. There was also a rancher selling grass fed chicken. beef and pork. Not a huge variety of vendors, but still a nice way to support the locals. It's a short visit. Maybe half an hour, but Casa Somerset is a nice little getaway. read more

Stayed here over 3 years ago, and enjoyed our stay so much we decided to go back and bring some friends along. My pictures are from the previous visit. The hosts Mike and Christine are so friendly and personable. Unfortunately I believe the property has become too much for them to handle. In the 3 years since I was there, no improvements have been made and in fact the grounds have gone drastically down hill. Rooms could use updating as the decor is the same and out dated. I always enjoy visiting with the hosts and other guests however for the money, the experience is lacking. read more

I don't have enough great things to say about this place! My fiancé and I stayed in the Raphael room, which was beautiful! The room had a large jacuzzi tub for two and a beautiful four post bed. Mike and Christine (the owners) were absolutely amazing. We spent a lot of time with them out on the wraparound balcony, drinking wine and enjoying the beautiful weather. They treated us like we were just old friends coming by for a visit. On the property they have gardens, a vineyard, and a fishing dock. We had originally planned to go out to dinner, but opted to just cook something there so we could enjoy the property more. In the morning, Mike made us Belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and coffee and orange juice for breakfast. Everything was delicious! They also had two beautiful dogs that were SO sweet and well-mannered which made us feel right at home. Mike and Christine definitely set the bar high for what we will expect at bed and breakfasts later on. Casa Somerset will definitely be a place we revisit! read more
