Zero stars. I called because I was referred by one of their clients that used to run their business online. I simply wanted guidance on how to prepare and what programs, like quickbooks, that they'd recommend to a new sole proprietorship. I was prepared to pay a service fee. I was told: "we are not taking any new clients." To which I said, well can I just ask a couple questions to prepare myself exactly as you did for my referrer, another online reseller business? Their response was "no. We don't talk to people who aren't our clients." I was a bit dismayed, and after being shot down twice with silence after each response, no sign of concern for customer experience, common courtesy, nor empathy I said, ok, wow, and hung up. A moment later I called back and asked for a referral if they couldn't answer any questions. Her reply "we don't give referrals." To add salt to the wound... I've never encountered such a complete lack of professionalism nor common courtesy in my life. I recently relocated to Modesto from San Jose and I guarantee this wouldn't happen in the bay area. Tim has been helping us do our business taxes for the last 3 years and I couldn't be happier with his service. We've had 4 different accountants since we started our business back in 2009 and he's by far the best, hands down. He's extremely knowledgeable about his trade and helps us to take all the deductions we possibly can under the law, to minimize our tax burden as much as possible. We're able to make an appointment and get our taxes done right then and there, unlike previous accountants where we've had to wait weeks (or even months) after submitting our documentation. This is great because we can find out exactly what we need to pay right away and make preparations, instead of being left in the dark until March or April and being surprised with a large bill that we aren't prepared for. Tim used to be located in Tracy but moved out to Ripon fairly recently, which is definitely a long drive for us from Pleasanton, but absolutely worth the trip. He saved me a lot of money!!! Where to begin. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this wonderful man. My wife has been going to school all year around. I have been the only income in all of 2017. in 2016 he advised us that I can go exempt all year in 2017 and even factored in overtime. He crunched all the numbers for us. Well I went Exempt for the whole year of 2017 in order to buy food for my family and keep the lights on. It was tough but not as tough as it could have been if he didnt advise me of me going exempt. I ended up working double the overtime that he had predicted so naturally i was afraid of me having to owe a lot of money. As I went into Tims office, I was scared of the amount i would owe. He crunched all the numbers in a matter of a few minutes and told me that i would be getting a return!!! Times are really tough right now and I have been so overwhelmed with stress. I walked out of Tims office with a load off my shoulders. It doesn't end there, it gets even better. During our time with Tim, he asked how things were going. I was frank with him and told him that things were extremely tough but that we are making it with the help of family.
