We also brought over our home and obtained life insurance. Abigail was so detail oriented and consistent with her follow up process from start to finish. I have never had such a smooth transition before when changing insurances. The office staff also is extremely polite and the agent is well versed in both financial questions I had along with claim inquiries. Definitely don't plan on changing for a long time!

I have had car insurance from Louis at Lakewood Insurance for about 7 years. Not only is it…read moreaffordable, but he will periodically check around for me to see if he can get a better price for me with another company. That's the best part about having an independent agent, because he works with so many companies. Last year, he suggested I switch to Progressive, which was going to be a bit cheaper, so I did. He also specializes in motorcycle/scooter insurance, and everyone I know with one of those uses him. He's a really nice guy, to boot, and I'll often stop by and just hang out for a little bit and we laugh at LOLcats and stupid jokes. It's like the Lakewood version of Floyd's Barbershop from "The Andy Griffith Show," but he's not creepy like Floyd. He'll let you bring your dog in to visit, too!

I walked…read moreinto Lakewood Insurance and he took the time to shop my policy around and cut it by around $400 for the same exact coverage. After a couple of years my homeowners came up and he couldn't save me as much because he advised me to get more coverage than I previously had... which was kind of a bitter pill. BUT when the hail storm hit I was very lucky to have such a good policy. They had my property assessed before any of my neighbors and I had ample money with a minimal deductible for a new roof, windows, paint, carport along with miscellaneous damaged items. You can go online and get a price, but being able to walk into someones' office and get advice is worth a lot in my book.

I have just gotten off the phone with a person from another agency. Enough is enough; I am moving my business. If I could take my one star away, I would. Early 2023 I was a customer of Lisa Nickels for YEARS. In over 10 years of service, I had one problem. When Lisa heard of my problem, she called me directly and we worked it out. Today, I need a quote for a simple renter's insurance policy for my mother in the retirement home. Jay said he was sending my request to underwriting 5 days ago. He hasn't responded to emails for an update. I called an insurance company I don't like and got a quote over the phone. It is sad to think that CIA wants to have a customer calling their competition, but that is where I am at, calling around to get some renter's insurance for my mom. And maybe some auto and homeowner's insurance for myself. I miss you Lisa...
