Everything looks so nice and delicious, I wish it was all vegan. They do offer made to order vegan cupcakes which are perfect for weddings, baby showers or any other occassion you may want sweets for. In store they also have tubs of vegan cookie dough which you can eat as is or bake once you get home. My friend purchased a cup of chocolate chip cookie dough for me which I ate with a spoon and it was delicious and even more surprising was that it was also gluten-free! Hope that Susie's will eventually expand to offer more vegan options for the ever growing vegan population in Halifax but so glad they offer anything at all! The gentleman working was really nice too and made sure to let us know they had vegan cupcakes for order. Great service!

The right balance of icing and cake; unlike some of the other bakeries which have globs of icing in them and dry cake with no flavour. The cake was rich with a hint of spice and a few bits of walnuts in it. At $2 a cake I think these guys are the lowest priced local bakery in town too. The bakery was very professional. It was no problem to substitute the normal, carrot decoration for a custom message. My order was all packaged up and waiting for me when I told them I would pick it up.

We were always able to find a table and they have a good selection of different seating arrangements (long table, 4-person tables, comfy chairs by the fireplace (!!), counter with tall chairs). As for coffee, they usually have a couple of roasts on the go. My favourite (Sumatra) is rarer in rotation. You can also buy bags of your favourite coffee to make at home, which I somehow didn't realize until a year ago! In addition to that, they have coffee makers, accessories, hot chocolate mixes, tea and apple cider mix for sale. This location is connected to a Needs convenience store and gas station. It can sometimes take awhile to get out of the parking lot if you're trying to turn left onto Suzie Lake Cres., but you can always turn right and essentially pull a u-turn.
