My DIL and I each had a veggie soup, and shared a turkey and Swiss sandwich and chips. And we each ordered a coffee. Very good; just enough without being overwhelming. We also ordered a 6-pack of cookies. This was a good stop where I would absolutely go back!! PS: a little back story... apparently this Korean bakery started in a market stall, and worked their way up to this shop. There are several tables to choose from. This place is well known for their sticky buns. It's like a cinnamon roll, but there are BIG…read moredifferences. There's no icing on top, there's no cinnamon paste throughout the bun. The sticky bun instead have their paste on top of their bun and gets melted when baked. I prefer this over the cinnamon bun as cinnamon buns are often too strong on the cinnamon and too sweet. It was a great dessert to have on a rainy day after eating lobster.

There was a lot of outdoor seating, a picnic table under a gazebo and a large patio overlooking the water. There was a full wheelchair ramp that went into the cafe and also right to the patio. The woman working there was lovely. She told me that there were more treats that she was still putting out in the showcase and to tell her what we wanted based on the tags. A butter tart square (that looked mass produced, like you can buy lots of places across the country) for my husband. A chocolate peanut butter swirl for me - which turned out to be a homemade chocolate peanut butter snack cake with icing. I was pretty happy with my choice. :)

Sugar cookies caught my eye, and were thrown into my van which helped save me from stopping for breakfast somewhere down the line, amen to that. "They were great!! actually they were ok...." On the counter were cinnamon rolls which were drenched in syrup, and looking mighty irresistible. She said that it was surprising that they were still there as they sell out so quick. Sure, sure, ok I'll bite. Behind the bakery was a train track, of course, why wouldn't there be? So there it was... a gritty backdrop for some end-of-the-road type photo-ops, and I snapped a few. No bathroom stop here, but the owner was quick to point out the the dollar store down the street had a public washroom, and Tim's was not far either. Kudos for solid local advice like that!

This spot was worthy of the stop. We ordered drinks - I got a chai latte just to be different. These folks are famous for their cinnamon buns, and we lucked into one fresh out of the oven. Delicious!
