Unfortunately only the plain butter tarts were left. We grabbed a couple to try out. They are not of the real gooey variety fyi -- but still quite nice, the pastry really flaky. Do give this place a try and I think next time, I would try some of their other treats, like date squares or lemon bars.

When I arrived the chairs had been stacked, likely for cleaning duties. I picked up a coffee and a tahini maple brownie to go. When I had each of these the following day, recognizing the time lapse may interfer with the quality and therefore my experience, both were delicious. At first I wasn't all too impressed with the brownie. I didnt get any hint of tahini and the sweetness was a lot. I heated up the coffee and was prepared to have it black, an unusual occurrence, yet sipping at it to make room in my mug for my oat milk, it had a very mild flavour. It wasn't acidic, which some coffees with notes of citrus tend to create. It was smooth, made all the more better with a peice of the brownie in my mouth at the same time. Mind blown and magickal. So at first, not impressed with the brownie, yet having it in a new way, wow! Definitely a pairing for the win! Loved the ambiance, they had a cozy lil table and chairs in the window, surrounded by plants that made it look and feel like aspace in your living room. Also a hexagonal shelf with even more plants next to the bar, on way to the washroom. The art on the walls, amaze-balls! Really, quite beautiful. Lovely the owner is supportive of local talent. They have a shop attached, with second hand finds and teasures. I took a peak, yet didnt stay long. Its nifty and a concept that would be a first for me. Raw chicken. I was…read morealmost halfway through my chicken sandwich when I noticed it was raw. The middle 2 thirds of the chicken was uncooked. That was last Saturday and today is the first day I don't have dia**hea. I brought it back to the bar. Several waitresses and a manager (or owner?) came to my table and apologized profusely. They said they'd take care of the bill. I assumed they'd cover my guest as well. I was still in shock, so I didn't check my receipt. I just was my credit card receipt, and they only reimbursed my meal - I guess that's right since I didn't eat it all. They did give me 3 cookies and they were delicious. My body turned those to liquid for later evacuation. We are suffering from a serious service problem and a severe lack of resolution. I really need to learn to make a bigger fuss. It's too bad that a more vocal person that me would have gotten more out of this. Terribly embarrassing. PS: I didn't take a photo as I was busy spitting out what was in my mouth in front of my friend.
