I got 2 regular meat pies ($3.25 each) and 2 meat with pomegranate sauce pies ($3.25 each) for my husband and I. As I was waiting, the nice man working there gave me a free cookie :) The cookie was a shortbread cookie partially dipped in chocolate. I have had many Middle Eastern meat pies, but this was my first time having a meat pie with pomegranate sauce. The pomegranate flavour was subtle and I mostly just tasted a twinge of sweetness to the pie. It was interesting, but I think I prefer regular meat pies instead. The regular meat pie was good and the seasonings are very different from the majority of other meat pies in the city. It had ground meat, tomatoes and parsley inside. The pastry of both pies were thin and crispy which I liked. I don't like it when it's too doughy. The pies were also a good size with a good amount of meat. They make for a very affordable snack. There are a few tables to eat in and a water fountain inside the bakery. Staff were pleasant. And I immediately like anyone who gives me free cookies, lol. The bakery is located in a strip mall. Same strip mall as Big Rig Brewery and Supreme Kabob House. Lots of free parking in the shared parking lot.

The place is rather small and it was bustling for a Sunday afternoon, so I couldn't take any interior photos for y'all, sorry. The baked goods were around $3 to $9. They had a day-old clearance section. Some of the items seemed pricey for day-old goods, such as 2 squares for $8, or 2 donuts for $6. However, I spotted a slice of apple coffee cake for $2 and got that. The apple coffee cake was surprisingly moist for a day-old cake and was tasty. If their day-old items taste like that, I'm looking forward to returning and trying out some fresh items at regular price. We walked there, and it's just off the Ottawa River Pathway, so it's a scenic walk if you live close to an entrance point to the Ottawa River Pathway. If you're coming by car it's street parking only, which can be tough to find on warm sunny days since it's close to Britannia Beach and Park.

I tried their green olive bread loaf and it was super moist and flavourful! Really loved it and it was rich with olives. They have a good offering of cake slices (you can also order a whole cake), pastries, cookies, marshmallows, lollipops, and even sandwiches. I got a slice of the Mille-feuille ($7.50) and it was heavenly. It was so rich and creamy. Really delicious! I would definitely get it again. Although I also want to try the honey pistachio cake, which they didn't have on the day I went. Staff were friendly and I appreciated that they gave me time to look around (and snap pictures for y'all, lol) on my own, instead of staring at me like at some places, haha. I'm not a huge fan of the pastries set-up as it's serve yourself in open baskets/trays and feels less sanitary, but at least cakes and squares are behind glass, and the sandwiches are even individually wrapped. Marshmallows and cookies are also packaged. I'm definitely looking forward to trying more cakes here! Free parking is available in the shared parking lot for the strip mall.

Really cool space, definitely would be great for an afternoon tea. They have an outdoor patio, not that it was being used despite the beautiful day. Pastries and food selection is great. The staff is friendly... but slow and easily distracted. The cashier was taking a phone order while several of us were waiting, pretty unacceptable when another staff member should be able to take a call. We ordered a coffee and a mimosa. Well, they had to go back and check to see if they had juice... they did not. I asked for just the bubbly instead, she had to go back and check again. How do they not know or keep things on their menu in stock? Oh well, they had the bubbly so it was okay. For food we ordered a pastry and a croissant sandwich. The biscotti and pastry were delicious. For some reason, they decided to panini press the croissant sandwich. What the heck, who would do that? Why didn't they ask? Tasty sandwich, but completely ruined due to crushing the croissant. We were expecting it to come straight out of the case and at most maybe microwaved to warm it, not just destroyed in a panini press. Cool vibes, nice atmosphere, food is good, tea menu looks amazing. But, the staff don't seem to have a clue to what they are doing.

The almond croissant was mediocre. After being warmed up by staff, it lost any flakey taste delicateness that it may have originally had. The pumpkin latte tasted like it was made with bitter, burnt espresso. There was a nice amount of foam and the aftertaste was milder and more palatable. I just moved to Canada and hoped this cafe, which is full of potential, would become my go to. I was disappointed, but plan to come back to give the lunch menu a try.

Ended up getting the pistachio and Dubai chocolate croissant. As for the drinks, we got the matcha and the Hojicha with espresso shots. They serve coffee from Hatch (which is probably one of my favourite back in Toronto). Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the croissants fresh but they were still tasted buttery and flakey. The flavour and sweetness was the right amount (perfect for my Asian tastebuds). The drinks were also really good! The Dubai Chocolate was decadent while the Pistachio Rose was nutty with a delicate taste of floral.

It's rather small and doesn't have too much selection. We got 2 pecan tarts ($2.50 each) and an almond croissant ($2.60). The almond croissant was ok. It only had a thin layer of ground almond paste in it. It tasted buttery and was flakey, and tasted better than almond croissants at grocery stores like Loblaws, but I expected more from a small bakery. The pecan tarts were ok. They had little pieces of candied fruits in it, like the stuff in fruitcake. I am not a fan of fruitcake nor am I a fan of candied fruits. If you like the aforementioned items, then perhaps you will like their little twist on pecan tarts. However, if you are not a fan like me, then you might want to pass. They had date squares (another thing I don't like), scones, macarons, and some other items. Not all items have prices listed. I may return to try some macarons, especially if they are only $1 each like a previous reviewer mentioned (the price was not listed in the store). Service was nice and friendly. There are 2 bistro tables for 2 inside the bakery, but it's mostly for takeout. Lots of free parking in the strip mall parking lot.
