My friend is a dessert fiend so I've tried a few different cake slices here on different occasions:…read morered velvet, blueberry chiffon, blueberry yogurt. Cakes are pretty solid, though expensive, but its a good cafe for casually meeting friends without having to go to a full restaurant. I don't think I'd buy a full cake here, because the cakes aren't bakery/patisserie level good, but a slice here and there is ok. Their app is great as they have regular offers, and the pickup process is smooth. It'd be nice to see them change up the cake flavours now and then or to try something more unique. The existing lineup is not bad, but still plays it pretty safe / are classic flavours. As for the cakes themselves, blueberry chiffon is my favourite because I enjoy a more typical blueberry flavour, then the blueberry yogurt, and the red velvet. Most cakes are light, not too sweet (exception is the red velvet as its cream cheese), but all were fresh and a good portion size too.

I used to come around much more often when in the area but now visits have become infrequent,…read moreespecially that their hygiene needs work. I've seen the mishandling of food and preparations of beverages that made me queasy. This was even before they received an infraction from Peel public Health. Employees are generally friendly and helpful. If you have the app, every purchase collects you points and provides offers for redemption. There are weeks where they do challenges, give you choices between beverages at half the cost and sometimes give away free pastries, especially on your birthday. It certainly compels you to return. There were times I've been where the floor and tables were in shambles. I understand that times get busy and patrons can be nasty, but it's also important to wipe down areas and keep it clean even if it's added work. Presents the cafe as more appealing. The baked goods selection is vast and depending on items, can be expensive. Everything looks appetizing though I've only tried a few pastries and some were very good, while others were hard and not as fresh. Their cake slices are good and decadent, also sharable. Have tried their croissants, though not the best. I tend to order hot and cold beverages. I used to like the cappuccino but switched to ordering iced caramel macchiato and iced strawberry matcha instead.

If you've got a sweet tooth and you're anywhere near Mississauga, The D Spot is absolutely worth…read morethe stop. This dessert restaurant is no joke, their menu is so massive it feels like it could rival the Cheesecake Factory's (no exaggeration). While most of it is dedicated to desserts, they do offer food options too, but let's be honest... you come here for the sugar rush. We tried a slice of their Red Velvet Cheesecake, and it was rich, smooth, and everything you want in a dessert. We also ordered a loaded waffle topped with brownies, chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, and whipped cream, basically a dessert lover's dream on a plate. Both desserts were fantastic and definitely lived up to the hype. The staff was friendly and helpful, and even with such a huge menu, they made great recommendations. If you're looking for a fun spot to satisfy your cravings, The D Spot delivers.

Not huge on desserts but this place is fantastic. My friend got me a strawberry milk cake to go,…read morewhich was on BOGO on one of the food apps. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to, simply because I'm not big on sweets. The cake is light and spongey and absorbs the leche/milk very nicely, and makes the entire cake very moist. Vastly different in texture to other cakes that rely more on cream and icing to balance the sponge cake. I found this cake lighter and a really unique flavour/texture. It's sweet with flavour that has depth (not just by using more sugar/syrup) and the hints of milk, strawberries, cream, etc all mesh really well. Glad to have stumbled across a new fave and I'll definitely be back to try the rest of their offerings.
