I stop here about 3 times weekly before work. I grab a coffee and sometimes donuts other times a wrap. They are so fast and friendly, it only takes a few minutes to order, pay and receive my food it's awesome! I've never had old, stale or cold food and the coffee is hot! As you know, I am a Tim Horton's connoisseur. Maybe even an expert in that I understand the company standard and can recognize if a location fits the model. Frustrated with loosing at Monday night bingo, I find myself sprinting up the avenue to TH, Chesterfield (on Gratiot north of 23 mile). Having not had dinner, my blood sugar appreciates the bump; Let's call it late supper at 7:30. A very neat and tidy location. The only negative issue was their coffee displays weren't full and they were scattered across the shelves. Pretty far down the hit chart. My large double-double was spot on and the servers were super polite and friendly! Do you complain about mistakes in YOUR favour? Ok, there was too much creme in my vanilla creme donut. Boo hoo. My small chili was hotter than standards call for. Hmmmm, I blew on it...problem solved! I could write a separate paragraph on why that happened and the fact that it had already stopped cooking so it was a mute point. So, I won't. The restrooms obviously receive adequate attention and the dining room was clean and without clutter. As I stated, they have a wonderful set of servers on a Monday night and it's nice to know the place is open 24 hours. This was my sixth visit to this location since joining Yelp and learning all about Tim Horton's. There is a long laundry list of details I check on each visit. Upon hearing a complaint about someone being overcharged on every visit, I double-checked each of my receipts and can report this has never happened to me. So, I love TH, first of all. Gr8 coffee, sandwiches, and more. I stop regularly for the ice latte! So, I place my order, (and I should've known this), the gal kindly says, "just so you know"... and informs me how the lattes are made. I had gotten it wrong, and she was so kind to remind me of my error. When I got up to the window, it was the same young woman, I'm pretty sure she wasn't even 20. I thanked her for being so professional, cuz that doesn't happen much nowadays without a lot of huffing and eye rolling from the #under30 crowd. And so, we chatted while waiting for my lattes. First they overcharged me and gave me the wrong food that I didn't order. Then they kept swearing uncontrollably saying "Fuck" between every other word while they were suppose to be WORKING. I yelled to them reminding them that there was a child there so they should watch their mouths. Then they told me to "Fuck off!". Paid $1.45 for extra cream cheese on my bagel. There was barely even enough to be considered regular amount. It was as 11:00 a no excuse for rush hour. So sad 5 employees and can't do anything right. Yet they want to be paid more money and the service is at its worst. Very short on the speaker like it was a rush with 10 cars in line yet nobody was in line. So I guess placing an ORDER for almost $72 of donuts doesn't CONSTITUTE AN ORDER! I was by myself picking up 4-40 count Timbits and 2 dozen donuts on Wednesday March 6th and the Timbits kept sliding off the two boxes of donuts and I didn't have a spare hand to open the door or my vehicle. I don't know what it is about Tim Hortons but i have yet to find one that I love- except the one in Richmond, which I probably should have gone to. I stopped in mid afternoon today to snag an iced Capp and donut. Simple enough. There were about 5 workers just loitering around mingling and chit chatting. I waited 5 min just to get my order taken and I was the only one there. When I got my small vanilla bean iced Capp it wasn't mixed properly and wasn't even full. Waste of my money. I went to the counter to get my issue fixed but the staff was complaining how bored they were, how under paid they are and how there was nothing to do. No customer wants to hear that, especially when there was garbage through the establishment. My strawberry vanilla donut tasted like strawberry soap, if that even makes any sense. Two stars is ~probably being generous? I've been here atleast 5 times now. Every single time i've come here, the coffee and breakfast sandwiches served are lukewarm. This is the only Tim Horton's where I have experienced this. It has led me to concluding there is some kind of process issue at this particular Timmies. As I go to a Tim Horton's almost every day (59 and North Ave, Mound and 18, and Troy 16 mile) where this issue does not exist. There have also been a couple times where I was sitting at the drive through for a good 1-2 minutes with no order taken or acknowledgement. To start, the women's restroom has 2 stalls. One has a note stating out of order and the other doesn't flush. Then we place our order and the card reader doesn't work so they take the card to the drive thru register. The transaction goes thru, but then the cashier goes back to the register and says it's declined (so we show him the posting on the account...good thing electronic banking posts quickly). So the "manager" (using this title very loosely) rolls his eyes at him and goes to the register to correct the now double charged order. The "manager" comes back with the receipt, not saying a word of apology or otherwise, and finally shows recognition to the customers behind us that have waited thru the entire situation. The manager here is a joke. Every morning I go to Tim Hortons at different locations and get three shots of espresso and a large cup of ice at this location they won't do it I asked two different times and instead they waste the money on two separate cups just to avoid giving me a cup of ice. Today they're going to tell me they're going to charge me two dollars for a cup of ice. But the worst part is when I asked for three shots of espresso and a cup of ice since they remembered me asking yesterday they said oh God over the speaker. Totally rude, Crappy customer service. After placing my order me and my family received nothing but attitude slow service and items forgotten off my order.. as I honked my horn to let the girl with the bar bell in her noise know on the other side of the window I still needed my items she open the door and replied with I know. I go to this Tim's every Saturday and Sunday. I absolutely love the boy at the drive thru window...he is very polite and always puts a sleeve on my coffee cup to prevent my hands from burning. Well unfortunately that nice boy isn't always there. The issue is I don't understand why this is the only Tim Hortons that I have to ask for a sleeve. I thought that was just an automatic. This place is absolutely the worst place I have ever been too! I never leave reviews but this experience today I can't hold back. I waited 15 mins in line, not a big deal as I know inside is still closed. We got to the window and I gave my card and rewards card. I received my food, my drink, forgot my daughter had a drink, then my straw and cards and I pulled away. Didn't get far and my daughter said my drink, I pulled into a spot and called. No answer the first time and I called right back. I looked at my receipt and I had been charged and and this lady was so rude saying I was lying and said well do you have a receipt and that she didn't know what to do and I'll need to go through the line again. Mind you it was to the road still and she refused to bring one to the door, told me I had to wait in line again regardless and if I didn't want to wait too bad. This is the worst Tim Hortons I've ever been too! I go to this location once in a while because I live near it, but if I can I go to another 1. The staff is always super rude & they take forever to get your order to you. Ive had so many bad experiences here but I'll give you my most recent horrible experience here. I went in the other day, ordered 2 bagels & some timbits. The girl at the cash register took forever to ring me up & put in the register that I wanted assorted timbits. Another girl was going to get my timbits & she was utterly confused by the fact that I wanted to choose my own timbits. I had to explain this to her several times before she understood. For some reason I had to wait 10 minutes for my bagels! I only wanted them sliced, that's it! I finally had enough with waiting & asked them where they had to go to get my bagels & why was it taking so long. I finally got my bagels. Horrible customer service & getting bagels & donuts & putting them in a bag is not as hard as the staff makes it out to be. I love Tim Horton's, but this on is by far the WORST service ever. The drive-thru attendant (AKA Tim Horton's Supervisor) was the rudest person I have ever dealt with anywhere. I go to this location every morning and I mean every single morning around the same time. I'll start by saying the only reason for three stars and not one because of the fact that I love their coffee and because of the one very nice and polite employee whose name I believe is Josh. They should find more workers like him or put him in charge.Today I waited in the typical long drive thru line and of course was greeted to by the rude lady at the speaker that is there every day I'll leave her name out but honestly she should not be working with people. Typically greeted with a snotty "how can I help you" and "anything else" while I imagine her rolling her eyes. I believe the manager was working the window today and my total was $4.23 to which I gave him $5.23. I did not receive my change back and didn't notice until driving away. I didn't bother going back because it would have just made me have a bad day I'm sure. I've worked in the fast food environment before and I know it can be stressful but you should put a smile on and put your best self out there.
