The place didn't have a dine in or patio ( maybe because of Covid and all) but he was nice enough to make us fresh coffee to try. He happened to be roasting some beans and invited us to watch. What a treat!!!! It's amazing to find gems like this in the area. I usually drink medium roast but he made me try the dark roast and I ended up buying a bag of that too. By luck, I caught a coffee tasting when I dropped by while I was in the area. What you'll find here: front of shop that displays bags of fresh coffee beans that are roasted in small batches, aeropress, pour over, and other coffee accoutrement, plus the larger "warehouse" area where beans are being roasted/packaged. Perhaps Wayne will make you a coffee/espresso-based drink so you can sample their beans! What you won't find here: baked goods, muzak, laptops, stale beans, or dairy alternatives. Again, it's a coffee roastery that also preps bags for e-commerce. It's not a café. 250g bags are around $9, a bit more expensive for their Microlots - if&when they're available! This is loads cheaper than many other roasteries that I've been to where you're paying ~$20 for a bag and don't necessarily end up liking it. Recommended stop for any coffee lover if you're near the Bronte GO Station!

Their peach green tea is a favourite of mine and the flavour of the day on Fridays. These daily specials are discounted and are different every day. I opted to add tapioca to mine. When I was at checkout, the cashier initially rung it up as a normal order but luckily the manager caught it and had her change it to the special pricing. I was there later in the day, around 5:30pm and noticed that they still had a lot of Bake Code items that were available. At a lot of other locations, it starts looking really empty in the afternoon. My tea was excellent. I like it at the half sugar level. They've started giving out paper straws with their drinks so if you don't prefer these, remember to bring your reusable straw! They do take a bit of force to poke through but just remember to commit to your stab. :)

We ordered some seasonal drinks including the delicious pumpkin spice latte made with real pumpkin. The barista was very nice, made our drinks quickly, and explained what went into our lattes. Last time I was there, it was lunch time so I ordered the empanadas and they were soooo delicious! They were filled with ground beef and potato and seasoned perfectly. My friend had the soup, which was filled with veggies and quinoa. It was served with lots of fresh veggies and and tortilla chips (they had run out of rice, which is usually an option). The lattes and cappuccinos are excellent and the prices are very fair. I love that the coffee and sugar is fair trade too. The ambiance is charming without being all stuffy, and the coffee is really good, not too acidic like some places. Also, the desserts aren't too sweet, which surprised me. Servers are great and try to go above and beyond. Just as an aside, Market Square seems to have been hit really hard by the pandemic. Most shops have closed up or aren't doing too well. So please come out and try to support some of these small businesses, they really need our help!
