I started service with State Farm a year ago under false pretense, I was initially given a low quote once in the office that quote was higher. The agent guaranteed it would change back to low quote in six months. Time after time I was given excuse after excuse as to why my policy still remained high. Finally I'm told that it's not going to change unless I'm a customer with them for three years!!!! One thing I cannot deal with is not being able to trust the company that I am doing business with. They made an error and are not willing to corrected after I gave them several chances to do so. Three other insurance companies are giving me lower quotes then their original low quote. Apparently they were at lunch when I called. Hours later I received a call back and gave them my current coverage information. The next day I got an email, not a phone call, telling me that they could not find a company that would give me coverage because I had made 2 claims within 5 years. That was not true. I didn't live in that house 5 years ago. I did have a claim due to a power surge in 2024 to repair electrical circuits that were fried as a result of the power surge. Another reason for denied coverage was because my house which had an expansion 17 years ago had standing seam metal roofing on the new areas and shingles on the original section of the house. That part of the house had new shingles in 2022. We moved into the house 2.5 years ago. They said because my roof had two materials that was another reason for denial. When i explained these facts in my emailed reply, I got no response back from the company. If you ask me whether I'd recommend this company I would have to give a resounding no. Poor communication and groundless reasons for denial. I was immediately able to get coverage from Bracken Insurance with no issues.

Lucky for me, unlucky for them I have documentation and my husband, daughter and leasing agent all heard my conversation. I am guessing they record their conversations, but instead they paint me to be lying and then act like I'm uncivilized. I don't spend close to $10k a year to be treated like trash. I have never had a speeding ticket or been in an accident and we have been loyal State Farm customers. The good news is I have found several other companies that we will save thousands a year with.
