I can't find the proper words to describe how wonderful Tim and Michele have been throughout our mortgage process. They worked with us for over two years to assess our budget, help us financially prepare to buy a home, and get pre-approved so we could make offers competitively. Tim and Michele were so on top of everything that we actually closed on the home early! They were always a text or call away, ready to reassure our nervous first time home buyer jitters. Tim patiently met with us several times over the last two years just to help assess when we were ready, and to pull the trigger when we were. Michele was an angel, making the closing process simple, fast, and much less stressful than I ever could have imagined. They recommended a wonderful realtor to us, and everything was incredibly smooth and easy. If I could give more stars, I would. Thanks guys!! read more

What should have been a simple mistake turned into a catastrophe of an experience with a lender. I know some lenders can be pushy, or rushed, but this guy turned out to be both, with zero space for self-reflection or ownership for his mistakes. He came recommended through my realtor at the time, Cherie Hunt, so I was happy to get the ball rolling and fill out all the necessary information online. This was, in fact, on a Saturday. Upon submission, I called and left him a voicemail -- nobody needs to be working on a Saturday -- because my message was simple: "Please do not process my documents and perform any credit check until you have touched base with me. Thanks!" Come Monday morning, I get an email from Karma Credit and like three other credit companies saying there was a new hard credit inquiry on my account. Hmm.. who could have done this? This was my single request of what he was NOT to do. When I connected with Tim, I was reasonably upset that he was not able to follow simple directions. In the course of an hour of attempting to understand Tim's line of thinking, I did not hear a single apology, or ownership of responsibility. Instead, what I got was "Well you signed the document," "Nobody has ever complained about this before in 30 years," and "this doesn't affect your credit." The man lied through his teeth about his role in this error and tried to turn the conversation around as to how *I* did not understand credit. It was low, insulting, and very unnecessary. To this, I decided that I did not want to work with someone who did not have the respect for his customers to say a simple "I made a mistake, I'm sorry." He does not seem capable of taking responsibility for his mistakes and, apparently, growth. The home purchasing experience is stressful enough to work with someone who has such low emotional intelligence and lack of interest in his customers' well being or needs. No idea how he operates anywhere else down the pipeline because if he can't be reflective at the very first stage, god only knows where he he may screw up and ignore it at your expense. read more

As a Realtor® I work with a lot of lenders. Tim completely came to the rescue on a recent experience. Another lender had denied the Buyer and Tim was able to get complete loan approval and fund the loan in 16 days despite the fact the buyer purchased a new car in the middle of it! I am so impressed with his fantastic communication style, work ethic and sheer determination to get the job done quickly. He has a "no bull" direct approach which is always appreciated. He follows through and does what he says he will do. I will highly recommend him for future clients needs. read more

AWESOME, PROFESSIONAL!!! I was looking to buy my first house and needed a broker so I jumped on YELP. I called up 2 brokers that had good reviews (Tim being one of them) and I left a message with both. Tim was the only one who called me back. During our first conversation, I asked him what is the difference between you and any other broker. His response was, "I'm a straight forward guy, no messing around, and I will help you close on time." I know now that this is true! I didn't have a realtor and so I asked Tim to refer one and he came back with 2. I used the referral realtor and I bought my house 2 months later. I was able to call Tim any time and the times I didn't reach him I got a text or a phone call right back. Tim was there throughout the long process. The benefit of working with the realtor Tim referred was that they were familiar working with each other and knew exactly what to do. Tim is a great all around guy, and is very knowledgeable. If you have questions or circumstances that you think is difficult, Tim will look into and figure it out for you. If I buy another house, I'm using Tim again. I even refer Tim to my friends because he is that good!!! read more

I found Tim in the most generic of ways, I Googled "best loan officer Sacramento" and there he was. Every Yelp review said he was the best, and we can attest to that! 2 years ago, my husband and I started thinking that it might be possible to buy a home but we had no idea what the process was or where to even start. I had a million questions and I needed professional information and advice. Gave him a call and a few days later had a meeting with him. He knew we were no where near ready, but that didn't deter him from spending over an hour with me, going over the process and mapping out a plan for us. From that day, I knew we were in good hands. After that meeting, I would check in from time to time with questions and to give him updates on our progress. He was always very supportive, positive and told me exactly what we needed to do, all with a great sense of humor, too. Fast forward to a couple of months ago, we met with Tim again, ready to go. He recommended an awesome realtor and within days we had found our dream home. 11pm on a Sunday night, Tim, our realtor and I were texting back and forth while Tim worked his magic to get us approved with the best loan! Michele was awesome in the whole process and her communication with me was always prompt and professional. They closed our loan in just over 30 days! In summary, Tim is a rockstar and I would recommend him and Michele to everyone! We couldn't have asked for a better first experience with buying a house. read more

My previous review was filtered, and I felt the need to write another one for Tim. In terms of knowledge and cutting through the BS, Tim is the man. He is also very punctual in getting back to you and keeping you in the loop of things. I have referred all of my clients and friends/family over to Tim, even if they just had a general question about the mortgage stuff. As a first time Home Buyer, all of the mortgage mumbo jumbo was alien to my vocabulary and Tim simplified it for me and explained all of my options. As others have mentioned, he is a hard worker who is dedicated to helping his clients out. He also plays a large role in helping the Salvation Army in the Roseville. Rocklin area which I think says a lot about his character. Solid mortgage advisor and more importantly a genuine person. Thanks again for all your help Tim in advising me on the mortgage stuff. read more

Tim is an amazing loan agent. He responded to emails and calls within 24 hours or sometimes right away. He recommended agents for me in multiple cities and the one we picked from his recommendation has been the best real-estate agent I've ever worked with. Tim knows his field. He requested all the documents he needed from me and my husband and kept the paperwork organized until we needed the approval letter. He was able to get us the approval letter quickly so we could put in our offer. He even offered to call the selling agent of the property we wanted to buy to let them know we were qualified buyers and to answer any questions they had. If you're looking for a quality loan agent who is able to answer any questions you have and will do whatever it takes to help you with the loan process don't look any further. read more

I've known Tim Clark for near 4 years, before I was ready to buy and afterwards. During those years I've tried other advisors and never got what I thought was the straight truth. I had one question that I needed answered and so I called Tim (he kept in touch during those years). I asked the question, got his answer and went with it. Less than year later I'm writing this from my own home. I thank Tim for his patience, knowledge, and most of all, honesty. He returned all my voice mails as soon as he could (often before I left one) and was quick to follow up on how I was doing. I can't thank him enough and would gladly refer him to anyone that needed a lender or just had questions. Again, thank you Tim, and as someone else put it, you the man in the mortgage game. read more

I have worked with Tim and Michele with the purchase of my home 3 years ago (different company). I didn't know much about mortgages, rates, a bunch of the terms, and linggo but Tim made sure I understood everything. He and his team explained things to me word per word and made sure I understood what I was getting into. I have been so impressed with Tim and Michele's knowledge, professionalism and honesty when it comes to mortgages that I came and talked to them again regarding a refinance. The refinance throught Movement Mortgage wasn't any different.they helped me every step of the way and got my house refinanced with great rates and a plan that suits me most. read more

Tim and Michelle have always been there from when I inquired about the loan process to when the loan loan was closed. Could not express how grateful I am to have found them. I am very pleased with their service. The knowledge, experience, the customer service has far exceeded my expectation. Tim fought for the best loan he could get for me even after a week of my original rate lock, Tim never stopped trying to find better programs and sure enough got me in a better loan. Every single question was answered, went through every single sentence in the loan papers to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. Would definitely refer to every single person who would ever need a loan. Thanks again Tim and Michelle! read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Tim Clark. He is professional, an expert communicator and a expert to keep both sides of the deal in tune with timelines and what is going on with the loan process. I met with Tim about 3 weeks ago now with a promise that he would call me back 2 days later to answer a question I had that he wasn't sure about. Now, almost three weeks later, I'm still waiting for that call. His promise of "don't worry, we'll help you through this" seems like an empty promise... read more

I worked with Tim when a buyer used his awesome lending services to purchase a house I was representing the seller. He is incredible! He would call every few days to give me a thorough update on the loan process and even provided me with a weekly email providing the status. His transparency is critical in representing not just the buyer but the selling side as well as I was able to assure my sellers the transaction was moving smoothly and right on time. There wasn't any of this MIA stuff that seems to occur with less professional/reliable loan brokers. I look forward to doing business with him again in future as I know my clients will be getting serviced to the maximum level! read more

Tim and his team (Michele and Haley) were amazing during our process of getting the loan to buy our first home. They were on top of getting all of our paperwork in as fast as they could. We had a 21 day close and ended up closing in 18 days! They always kept us in the loop with every step within the process. With that, we also got weekly updates to break down where we were at in the process and what steps came next. Normally, trying to get a loan is stressful, but with Tim and his team, the stress levels were at a minimum. I would recommend anyone trying to buy their first home or get any sort of home loan to go with Tim and his team. They are simply the best! Thank you Tim, Michele, and Haley. read more

First off Tim is a very personable guy. He makes you feel very comfortable and gets to know you beyond just the lending side. Tim and the company summit funding helped my wife get a loan for our investment property in 2014. This was our first time purchasing an investment property and it was also a short sale. So timing was critical as the bank needed to close by a certain date and the seller needed to close by the end of the year. Their was an issue that came up in closing due to our finances, but Tim was able to still get the loan closed and the deal closed on time. I would highly recommend Tim for anyone looking to purchase a property and needs a loan to get done on time. I will definitely use Tim again for our next investment property purchase. Thank you for all your help. read more

Tim is the Best! Great customer service. He knows the business so well, he tells you exactly what to expect and he follows through and makes sure that it happens. We refinanced with him - he made sure that it sailed through the process quickly, and we were able to lock in at a great rate. Tim has also worked with many of my first time home buyer clients: He is great at walking them thru the process, and does everything in his power to find the right loan for them and get them into their first home. read more

I was introduced to Tim through Yelp, and I can attest that the reviews were spot on! Me and my wife were looking to purchase our first home and wanted someone knowledgeable to help us through the loan process. I was very pleased with the first conversation I had with Tim, who was attentive, honest and very open about what to expect as well as what would be needed from us. Deciding to move forward, he helped us through the whole adventure and made it both smooth and enjoyable. He was even able to stay late at the office one night so we would be able to sign paperwork on short-notice, while working around the work schedules of both me and my wife. Needless to say, if we have any additional mortgage lending needs in our future, we will be calling Tim and Summit Funding immediately. Highly recommended! read more

Summit Funding, and specifically Tim Clark and Michele Clark took great care of me in my recent loan process. I cannot state enough how pleased I am to have worked with them! They are very responsive, extremely knowledgeable; and, they work in a professional yet friendly manner. Their communication, instructions and customer service are beyond compare! I always had up-to-date 411 on the status of my loan, and it closed when Tim promised it would. I highly recommend Tim and his team, Michele, etc. for anyone getting ready to go through the home loan process. read more

Hey, unfortunately there is only 5 stars. I would give Tim more than that. As a Realtor I have enjoyed having Tim as my "Go to Guy". Nobody out there works as hard as Tim in getting the loans done. Expert knowledge of the products, and attentive attention to my clients concerns. Lucky for me I have Tim on my speed dial and I have called him at all kinds of strange hours to get a client preapproved so we can write a winning offer, and he has answered the call every time. I get updates regularly from him on all the latest news in the mortgage industry concerning new products or rate changes. I have absolutely no problem referring Tim to any of my clients. read more

I don't mean to sound "sappy" but I guess I will because Tim has been outstanding to work with! When it comes to loans and housing it's scary to put your trust in someone. We are so blessed we were referred to Tim. I can't stand "pitchy" sales persons and Tim is nothing like that! Tim has integrity and is extremely knowledgeable--you don't find loan officers like him anymore and that is why we went to him 3 times! The first time we met Tim we were impressed with his honesty and integrity; even though we didn't quality at that time for a home loan we knew that when the time was right we would go back to see him--and we did! A few years ago he helped us buy our family home and even my young kids took to liking him! Then just recently when we wanted to refinance our home, we automatically called Tim--we wouldn't go to anybody else! I can go on and on...but just to wrap it up, Tim Clark @ Summit Funding is on our Christmas card list and only special people make that list ;) Thank you Tim and Michelle and the rest of the Team. read more
