I truly cannot say enough good things about Scott, and would recommend him without reservation. This man goes above and beyond, consistently, and worked absolute miracles for us. We initially were working with a mortgage broker who was great, but sadly unable to get us a loan due to some litigation going on with the property we were purchasing. He referred us to Scott, and Scott took the ball and ran with it. At that point, we were literally 2 weeks from closing... we knew (and even Scott said) there was no way we could close on time. He promised to do the best he could and we were looking at hopefully only a small delay (1 week), pushing as much as possible. Well you know what? We closed ON TIME. How Scott did this is still beyond me, so I can't tell you to expect the same if you're in our shoes. I also know we were very responsive in giving him what he needed, but truly I think all the credit goes to Scott himself. He made this happen for us and we could not be more grateful. Not only did CS Financial give us a loan we weren't sure we could get, Scott made it happen in record time. I could go on and on about Scott and how amazing I find him, but words can't do justice to how amazing he is. The best thing I can say is you should shoot him an email or call CS Financial and talk to him for 2 minutes. You'll see exactly what I mean! Five stars is not enough to describe what Scott did for us. I will leave you with a few key points to consider. 1- Accessibility. Scott literally was available any time we needed him. He had a very quick response time via email (or phone!), and no question was too small. He even replied to us when out of state on vacation! He thoroughly explained every part of the process, answered every single question, and did so with enthusiasm and passion for his work. You just do not find people like this. He does his job, goes above and beyond, and is excellent at what he does. 2- Friendliness. Truly, there are not many negatives to escrow closing. It's a great high, and feels incredible. The downside? No more daily emails with Scott. He made my day with his emails I don't know how many times. Even when I was freaking out (it was our first home and we had a few bumps in the road, to say the least), he was able to calm me down by explaining the process, options, and likely outcome. 3- Straight up GOOD AT HIS JOB. I know I've mentioned this before, but it always feels to me like I end up doing other people's jobs better than they do. This was the polar opposite for Scott. He immediately earned our trust with his open communication and clear knowledge about mortgage processes. He took care of every single thing, told us exactly what he needed, and I never felt the need to second guess or do it myself (which is very rare for me). 4- Nothing sketchy. I have heard absolute horror stories from friends about getting ripped off, hidden fees, etc etc. We honestly had NONE of this. Our estimate was exactly what the actual cost was and there was no funny business what-so-ever. I can't thank Scott enough for making this happen, in that crazy tight timeline, to get us in our dream house. No review could be glowing enough, but hopefully this is a good start.
