We had an excellent experience with Utah Basements this past year. They completed our unfinished…read morebasement with 2 bedrooms, large living area, exercise room, utility room, linen closet, under the stairs closet, and full bath. They were able to schedule us immediately once we received all the bids, and the project took roughly 9 weeks from start to final walkthrough. Utah Basements was the second highest bid received, partly because they did not do the flooring (which we got through RC Willey). Communicating with Todd was very convenient, and he responded quickly to text, email, and messages through the UBKB online client portal, where we formally documented design changes. Victor was on site most days and was extremely professional and very friendly. He answered all of our questions, gave helpful suggestions, and always contacted us when there was an issue or he needed direction. Once materials were in, the crew made fantastic progress framing, plumbing, and electrical. The rest of the process went very smoothly, with the minor exception that a bunch of paint touch ups were needed, but those were taken care of immediately. Overall we had a top-notch experience with Todd, Victor and UBKB, couldn't be happier with the final product, and would definitely recommend them if you need a basement finished!

There were several issues related to communication and how she was treated, which did not meet reasonable expectations of professionalism and fairness. These were supposed to be installed at the end of September. They never gave us any indication of any problem until they sent a text message on September 23 saying they could not do our job. But man do I tell you Robert can get so much done even in a day ! We were thoroughly impressed with his work. If we didn't like something or if we noticed something and pointed it out to him, he would fix it. Another thing that we really loved about them is their communication. We always knew when Robert was coming or going. There were no surprises of what time he was gonna show up, which with another company, we had nothing but issues and had no idea when they would show up and do work that was not the case with these guys!! They were both very professional and anytime we made adjustments They provided an updated estimate. Robert would even show us what he did at the end of each day as well. We initially contacted them for one big job in our basement, and we were so impressed with their work that we had them come back for 4 different jobs. I believe them to be extremely reasonably priced. They were a tad more than another company that we looked at, however, we are so glad that we went with these guys over them. I really only had one single complaint if you can even call it that. But sometimes Robert would use things without asking. (One Example: our nice kitchen broom to clean up construction dust) we just bought a new one and didn't say anything cause it's not a huge deal, but do wish he would have asked as we had another broom that could have been utilized for a dirty job. But seriously I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat!
