Went there late night after games at Cooperstown ASV. Great find in Oneonta! Wish we were here longer and would return!

The food was terrible. I had the General Tso and it was like getting some cheap boneless chicken nuggets with a little bit of General tso's sauce thrown on like an afterthought. The brown rice, which I had to pay extra for was old. The sushi was not good either. The fish tasted funny. Also, the miso soup tastes like dirty water. I wouldn't go here again and I wouldn't recommend it. Very disappointing with all the good google reviews. read more

Service was quick and very friendly! The waitress, upon asking if I was a vegetarian after I ordered the hibachi vegetable with fried rice, also made sure to clarify if I was a vegan and could have the egg with the fried rice. Never had a server be so accommodating and careful with my dietary preferences before---that was great. As for the food, we got edamame on the house, which was nice considering Tiger Asian just opened the previous day. The edamame wasn't anything out of the ordinary, with a nice amount of salt. The hibachi vegetable with fried rice was delicious and a very nice sized portion, and the vegetables weren't drowning in the sauce. Overall good meal and experience at Tiger Asian Cuisine! Music choice while dining was interesting, too...Nicki Minaj was prevalent. read more

We were in Oneonta for my son's baseball tournament and ate here TWICE!! Their server Jackson was amazing and so attentive! The fish was fresh, ginger dressing on salad was on point and tempura was awesome! Yakisoba noodles were delicious! I highly recommend anyone from out of town to come and try this place!! read more

The food here is decent, especially for Oneonta. Good yaki udon, scallion pancake, solid sushi. The green tea is surprisingly good (everywhere else around here will just give you a tea bag). The interior is a little shabby, but it is Oneonta after all and the servers are very friendly. read more

I wind up eating here more than I do at home. I order sushi, lo mein, or a rice and shrimp dish 2-3 times a week. Sushi is the best in town, hands down. I've had just about every roll on their menu and not one of them has disappointed me, and I used to live in the DC Metro area where the sushi competition is intense. Karen is a sweetheart, and Tiger is great. I can't tell you how much it makes a difference to walk in and have the staff greet you by name and make sure you're taken care of ASAP. read more

This is a terribly overpriced restaurant based on the poor condition my food came in . The vegetables are soggy the broccoli was lemon yellow and old and the food smells like wet dog. Don't even get me started on how the food tastes like straight up chemicals . When I called and asked for replacement because the food tastes like burnt plastic she said she would absolutely not replace the food but offered a 7$ refund , on just one thing when I ordered three different things and they were all trash. You don't come to Oneonta and expect great sushi, at least I don't, which is why I was really impressed with this place. Called to place an order for lunch and they were doing a two roll lunch special that came with a house salad and miso soup for 11 dollars and change, perfect. They have brown rice here, which is a huge plus. Came by 10 minutes later and my order was all ready and waiting for me on the counter. The place is quite interesting inside, there's a long entryway into the restaurant with some tables and possibly an upstairs, although I couldn't determine whether the upstairs was part of this restaurant or not. The woman assisting me behind the counter was really friendly and gave me some suggestions of where to go for dinner as I was unfamiliar with the area. The ginger saiad was seriously awesome, I don't know what was in the ginger dressing and quite frankly I don't think I want to know because it tasted so darn delicious and unlike any dressing I've ever had. It kind of tasted like coleslaw, which has mayonnaise in it, hence the reason why I definitely do not want to know what was in it. The soup was delicious and flavorful and the sushi was super fresh with nice size pieces of salmon and tuna. I got a tuna avocado roll and salmon cucumber and was impressed with both. I would definitely come back here for a lunch special, such a great deal, fresh fish, can't beat that. read more

Funny, just a year ago, this place was great. They have completely tanked. Seems that got accustomed to clients saying how good they WERE and forgot what it takes to get there. Hopefully Tiger wakes up to what is going on around him and fires anyone that doesn't deliver the same level of customer service. We have started going back to Tokyo's up the street. We absolutely loved this restaurant. There were four of us who stopped in for an early dinner after going to the afternoon movie. The sushi was awesome. Very fresh and plated beautifully. My friend had the lemon pepper chicken wings that she raved about and a green onion patty? I think it was that she also loved. My husband and I shared the hibachi NY strip with rice and veggies. Best I have ever had. The deserts were good and I left wit a strawberry bubble tea. Great meal. Will go back next time we are in town. read more

If we lived near Oneonta, this would be our first choice for sushi. Very fresh fish in the sashimi app. Very good rolls, nice ratio of fish to rice. Very pleasant service, hot green tea kept full. And the best part..... $40 total for three diners, and we all left totally filled with satisfying sushi. The regular rolls are all 1/2-price, all the time.... $2.50 - $3.00 for nice size serving. Specials are toward the higher side though. Looks can be deceiving.... give it a try. read more

Some of the best food in the area. Excellent. They don't deliver to my area, so I have to eat in and if there was a separate rating for atmosphere , I'd have to give it a zero. Chair seats are ripped up, carpet is filthy. If you don't mind a little dirt, you're good to go. I actually had a friend decline to have lunch there because of the interior. Even so, you can't beat the food. It is upstate where tasty, quality eating establishments are few in number, so I will continue to go there, it's a find... My absolute favorite sushi place in ALL of upstate NY. Here's a little background story, I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, so I have been blessed with great sushi my whole life. In addition to that, my family owns a chain of Japanese/Sushi restaurants in the city that do very well so I consider myself a true patron of Japanese food. When I came to Oneonta a few years ago, as a freshmen, I tried Tokyo sushi for the first time and had such an inviting and flavorless experience, I never wanted to have sushi out of the city again. For a special occasion, I was invited to Mt Fuji for sushi, and although they were fairly decent, the prices were just way too high for another visit (especially as a broke college student). Up until my junior year at SUCO, Tiger opened with hope... And I spent every other week either ordering from this place, or coming to this place for sushi! I was floored by how inexpensive the prices were, and how fresh the fish was. I soon became a regular, and Karen and Tiger always treated me with warm welcomes. Tiger has even treated my guests and I with specials that were on the house! I soon learned that both of them are originally from Brooklyn, which explains why the sushi was so exceptional. They truly did a service to Oneonta by starting a restaurant here! Everything about this place is great and a huge part of me is sad that along why graduating recently, I am leaving this place! As far as my favorites go, I am a huge fan of the Godzilla roll and the Lobster King roll!! read more

I had ordered delivery to my home of vegetable soup, avocado salad, and hibachi shrimp. The delivery was on time and warm, despite the freezing weather. The 12 fl oz of soup was mostly liquid, ie, very thin. There was about 8 oz of wanton soup in addition to vegetable soup. The 0.25 lb of avocado salad was fresh and good. There was another 1/8 lb of house salad that probably came with shrimp and rice dish. The shrimp dish was mostly fried rice (about 0.4 lb) and small amount of shrimp, about 0.1 lb. The taste was good, but not great. The price with tax before delivery tip was $21. I think it was an OK deal. read more
