The gate still stands along Michigan Ave.

This is a peaceful place with welcoming local residents every day of the year. I stopped by today to snap a few pictures of the historic baseball diamond that still stands today as only a field. Several local folks were there hitting and throwing balls around the old Stadium grounds, welcoming all to join. Great views and just knowing I was standing on what was a masterpiece of a baseball venue with such history had chills running down my back. Must see if you are a history and or baseball fan.

It is a great venue to watch games. I have been in stands, suites, patio for several events and always have a great time.

As soon as you walk in you can feel the energy from the crowd, especially during a game or concert. The big screens, lighting, and overall setup make it easy to see what's going on no matter where you're sitting. It's definitely one of the nicest venues I've been to in Detroit. The food options were also pretty good for an arena. There were plenty of choices around the concourse--from pizza and burgers to other snacks and drinks--so you're not limited to just one stand. Of course, the prices are what you'd expect at a stadium, but the convenience and variety made it worth it. Everything we tried was fresh and hit the spot during the event. The staff and organization were also solid. The employees were friendly and helpful when we had questions, and the arena seemed very well managed. Even with a lot of people there, things moved smoothly and the place stayed clean. Overall it was a fun experience, and I'd definitely come back for another game or concert. Great atmosphere and a great Detroit venue.

I always make a point to catch a live sporting event in most of the cities I travel to for long work trips, and I enjoyed this one. Pro parking tip. About 100 feet from the door to the arena there is a little dead end street called Park Ave where you can park for free if you arrive early before the road blocks go up!! See my photo. Park early and then walk over to Harry's Detroit Bar & Grill for a cheap beer and burger (or other great food) before the game!!! You won't regret it. Awesome food and very friendly people.

Very nice venue with great seats anywhere you choose!…read more Been here for a few concerts and a couple Lions game (one being in a suite which was an amazing experience in itself!). The stadium packs a lot of people and depending on the event, it can get really busy so get their early! Plenty of parking nearby, but my opinion is to choose somewhere else that isn't a Ford Field lot or garage. They're either full pretty early, especially for tailgaters at a game, or they're simply very expensive. Food and drink throughout the venue is very good. As you can expect, the prices are high but that's the nature of going to an arena/stadium. For a Lions game, they do some fun tents and other activities in the street in front of the arena that faces Comerica Park.

They do a really great job at making most of them not feel like you're just in another generic sports venue. The cobblestone streets are probably the leading factor, but there's just a lot going on here that says you're definitely in Ford Field and nowhere else. The negative about the concourses? They are far too small for the sellout crowds the Lions have. I love to walk the entire lower and upper concourse in a new stadium I'm visiting so that I can see everything. Here, this took me the better part of an hour just because I was essentially in rush hour traffic the whole time. Within the actual game itself, it's kind of a nice change of pace that there isn't an emcee screaming in your face about t-shirt tosses and other in-game entertainment during every whistle. That's a thing in live sports these days, but I actually liked the very throw back feel here. The fans knew to be pin-drop quiet durinng the Lions possessions and insanely loud when the defense was on the field. I appreciated that aspect too. Other than the concourses being way too narrow, this was a great place to watch a game.

Being part of the park and to be included with the riverfront walk is so nice. As you walk upto the amphitheater, you see large-scale art installations along Jefferson Avenue and Chene Street of renowned musicians including Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, and Tammi Terrel! At night the lighting within makes the art more amazing! The open air, the view of Detroit River behind it and the fixed seats underneath covered tent canopies and lawn seating behind those. There's concession and drink stations setup for concert goers. The concert performance was projected on the surface of the canopies. Boaters are even allowed to pull up to enjoy the performance. We got there early enough to park in one of the several lots close by. It was $20 cash to park but that's what I expected. The lines were long and we weren't quite sure which one to get in, since there were at least two branches that we saw. I think we figured out that they all led to an entrance, and the line actually moved pretty quickly. They had people going through the line checking vaccine cards, so we just had to get through a bag check/pat down right outside the entrance. I wish they had checked IDs and given wristbands in line too, because the bar lines were long and very slow. I feel like that would have helped speed things up a bit. All the staff we encountered were friendly and nice. We did find someone to direct us to our seats, which was helpful. The seat numbers are a bit hidden and definitely not that visible when it's dark. The seats were comfortable and we were mostly shielded from the blowing storm that came through right before the show started. It was so cool to see Canada and be on the water. I loved that aspect of the venue. There were a few bars, but again the lines were really long and they were out of two things we tried ordering initially. The menu was also confusing as it listed prices for some drinks but half the menu was just bottle service - I don't think anyone at this show was doing bottle service, but I guess it was an option? The restroom lines were long but moved pretty quickly. They did have restroom attendants which helps with moving things along. If you have a couple bucks, be sure to tip them. They keep the facilities clean and have mints/candy/gum and other supplies for use. The main complaint I have is that the parking situation after the show was a nightmare, with no one directing traffic at all, either in the parking lot or on the street. Probably not any fault of the venue but it took us about half an hour of just sitting in standstill, gridlocked traffic before we figured out we could turn around and get into a line of traffic that was actually moving. I'd be interested in seeing another show here in the future. We did mask up the whole time because it was pretty crowded, looked to be sold out even though we were outdoors I just felt better wearing a mask.

Watching a game in a luxury box was a first for me and shall I say the last. It's not a dig on the stadium it's just not my thing. The people there were more attuned to discussing business rather than watch a game. The food offered wasn't great. They had the usual hot dog trays, smash burgers, chips, popcorn etc.. The wings were drenched in a really sweet BBQ sauce. Sorry, again, not my thing. Anyway, Comerica is a nice addition to the revitalized downtown Detroit area. I really didn't get to wander around too much with the exception of stopping at one of the shops to get a hat like I normally do when I visit a stadium I've never been to. Also, I usually try one of the speciality concession stands that offers a food option which is unique to the city. I didn't get to do that either. The stadium is really nice and there appeared to be plenty of parking around the stadium. And, outside of a couple of videos, I didn't take many pictures. I try to get nice pictures of the field, the players, the crowd and the architecture of the stadium, which again I didn't get to. I'm contemplating booking a trip out there in June when the Yankees are in town and going with my son. If I do, a more in depth review will be added here.
