When getting tickets there was only one left in the handicapped area, but the ticket window person was able to get my seat the row in front of hers for the same price. The seat next to hers was not occupied and the seating person said I could sit next to her. $3 hotdogs! Yes please! Spent less than $150 for parking, tickets and food so made for an affordable night. Didn't get a chance to explore the inside of the stadium, I did scope the outside out last year, it is really a beautiful park. This made my 5th ballpark now; Fenway, New and Old Yankee Stadium, and Cleveland. Really appreciate a good ballpark and this is one of them.

The only aspects I feel are necessary to point out are the concessions, the seat organization, and the entry into the stadium. Concessions: out of this world expensive. A small soda was $7. I got a meal deal for $10 and the hot dog was small and tasted old, the chips were small and the drink was gone a second. I genuinely will never buy concessions from here again. Seat organization: it was pretty confusing for my friends and I to find our seats but honestly I think it was more "user error" than anything. Our seats once we sat down were pretty decent. Entry: entry was pretty quick for my friends and I and for banana ball, they were pretty lenient with the bag (which I'm glad because I saw different requirements for measurements in different places and got confused). When we left banana ball though, we wanted to go to the after party and someone in security told us we had to go out and all the way around. When we left and got to the point he told us about, the other security person told us there was no re-entry so we didn't end up being able to go to the after party which was such a bummer. It would be nice if security understood the layout a bit more to get people where they need to be. Overall, would I come here again? Sure I guess. Would I buy anything or bring anything? No.

We took a taxi and were dropped off right in front, which made arrival very convenient. Once inside, the venue was pretty easy to navigate, and we had no trouble locating our seats. The staff members we interacted with were friendly, and the drinks were actually pretty good and stronger than I expected for an arena. The only frustrating part of the night was leaving, although that had more to do with the weather and transportation than the arena itself. It was pouring rain, so everyone was crowded underneath a small covered area near a restaurant while trying to find their rides. I couldn't locate my Uber, but luckily we left a little early and found a taxi driver. Unfortunately, he was pretty rude, had a set price, and demanded a tip before agreeing to take us. Needless to say, I didn't appreciate being told that a tip was required. Transportation drama aside, Little Caesars Arena was a solid concert venue. Easy entry, simple layout, friendly workers, and good drinks. I'd definitely attend another show here, but next time I'd have a better exit plan, especially if rain is in the forecast.

What we did not care for was the way they handled entry, started way late and there were many issues with people who did not want to follow the rules. Also, when we tried to order food at the 313 grill, we found the employees to be a bit rude, slow and not willing to explain a few of the menu items. We felt ignored and then rushed to place an order. Many people in line echoed our sentiments.

Had it not been for Charlotte scheduling this random MAC school on its schedule, I most likely never would have wound up here. To say the stadium is nothing special would be putting it lightly. It is closing in on 50 years old, and it doesn't look like there have been many upgrades made to the stadium since then, save for a newer (but still outdated) scoreboard. The concourse behind the visitor section was dimly lit in the evening, and reminded me of a bad crime drama (CSI: Ypsilanti?) or horror movie. There was only one concession stand open that had the bare essentials, and little else. The cheese for the nachos had the consistency of water, and was severely insufficient for the amount of chips that they gave me. Because of the lack of people in the stands, game operations seems to think it's a good idea to crank the music up to max so that you can't hear yourself think. The sound then just echoes off all the empty concrete through the stadium. It's a common ploy by venues that can't draw fans to make the place sound loud, but it doesn't work other places, and it doesn't work here. Ticket prices are $15 before game day and $25 day of. This is an absolutely criminal price for what you get. I got my tickets on StubHub for $8/each, and would strongly recommend you check the secondary market before you hand over that kind of money. Parking is no longer free as stated in the previous review, it's now $5, which in this day and age is perfectly fine and far cheaper than you find at similar stadiums. I probably won't ever be back just because I'm nowhere nearby and no team that I support plays there with any sort of frequency. I wouldn't recommend that you visit this place unless you have a good reason to, or if you're in the area and want to watch college football without the crowds of other venues.

The Fox Theatre Detroit is a true gem of the city. The concert was fabulous, our floor seats were perfect. Phone-Free Experience - No Photography, Video or Audio Recording. We weren't allowed to have our phones during the concert. We had to have them locked up in the pouches provided for the duration. A completely unplugged LIVE music experience! Snacks were available for purchase - Hot dogs, pizza slices, popcorn and pop. The service from staff was fine from the security check, the food services and ushers.

Once phone was secured you received a printout with seat location. I purchased merchandise(t-shirts and a hat) as there was hardly anyone in line. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Since unable to eat before the show grabbed a slice of Little Caesars pepperoni pizza, a popcorn and a bottle of water. Of course it's marked up! Venue is cashless. Ushered to my seat and it's such a beautiful venue I spent time marveling at the theatre and architecture. There's really not a bad seat in the house. Only issue is in the main floor people stand up which blocks the view of those sitting. Some aren't physically able to stand for long periods of time and I think that contributed to me not going there. The acoustics are great, but this was a live band there was a sound issue with the opening act and again near the end of the show. You couldn't make out the words for the opening act and then everything went out during the main set. Artist Jill Scott thanked us for our patience and kept the show going. All in all it was nice not to see people recording and taking pictures. I'm sure that helps the artist stay focused and it showed we can live without our phone's! I enjoyed the concert but next time will sit in the Mezzanine to have a full view of the stage.

The "Detroit Historical Museum" tells the story of Detroit through it's rich culture. The museum…read moredoes an incredible job with display. From the original cars in the Motor City, to there success hockey team. On the lower level, you can walk through a town and see what it was like in early Detroit. It was incredible to see the cobble roads, and the shops that sold goods for ten cents (Oh I wish). They also showed how Detroit helped with the war efforts. My favorite were the creatures that lived in Detroit. Aretha Franklin, Barry Sanders, and Sam Raimi lived in this historic city. They even have comic creatures from the city. I recommend coming here if you visit or even live in Detroit. Learn what makes the city.

Was searching for museums our last full day in town and most were closed and operating on limited…read morehours and days; however, we found this one open and decided to stop in. The employee was very nice and briefly informed us about the museum. There's no admission fee (just optional donation based) and I can understand why as the museum is very small. Plan on spending about a half hour here (if that). There's some history here about this house, but you kinda have to dig for the info. It's also very unique as they have a gift shop upon entering that appears to be like it's part of the displays but the items are for sale (antique dishes, knick nacks, etc).

An interesting, EPCOT-like factory tour…read more Bought a combination for the Ford Rouge Factory Tour and the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. My favorite part of the tour was talking to the security guard who gave more insight into the assembly line. Took a 15 minute bus ride from the museum to the factory. Check the schedule as the buses do run on time. The factory tour has five stations. A movie, a laser Ford truck assembly show, the observation deck, the factory, a smallish room filled with a collection of Ford cars over the past century. The movie glossed over the beginnings of Henry Ford's inventions with an emphasis on the creation of an assembly line to cut down the time to build a car from 12 hours to 93 minutes. The moving part assembly line in Highland Park was super efficient. By breaking down the process to 84 steps and having stationary workers build each car, it really streamlined the process. This dropped the price of the Model T from $850 in 1908 to $260 in 1925 making the luxury vehicle affordable for an average family in America. Workers were paid $2.50 a day, but as the company became more profitable (and many workers were quitting due to boredom with monotonous tasks) the wages were increased to $5 a day. Ford had many conflicts with the Automobile Unions (UAW). Fights were physical and bloody. Graphic images released in the news in the 1930s turned public opinion against Ford. In the 1940s, he held out signing a Union contract until his wife Clara Ford threatened to leave him unless he signed a contract to stop the bloodshed. The 1941 UAW gave the workers the best benefits and wages at the time. The "assembly" laser 360 movie show was very EPCOT-like. Interesting, but not informative. The guide at the observation deck was very good. This is one of two places where photos were allowed. The elevated walk over the assembly line was self guided. Since they are very behind on construction, shift work is done on the weekends. Interesting to see the F-150s being assembled station by station. Spoke to a security guard who gave us insight into the safety gear needed, the energy efficient design of the building and how strikes and the union still advocate for workers salaries, working conditions and benefits. Otherwise, it would have been more like walking through another area with labels but limited explanation. No photos allowed here. The building is very interesting. No air conditioning, but the high ceilings allow heat to rise and the green roof with living plants make the building more climate controlled and energy efficient. Teams work in groups of 8 at each station. Lunch breaks are taken at the same. Key to know if you want to see the assembly line in action. The latest strike brought back more benefits. Workers wear eye protection and hearing protection. So interesting to learn more after asking questions. The last part of the self guided part of the tour brings you back to the main building for a view of cars like the Model A, the Thunderbird and the Mustang. Make sure to check the schedule to get a bus to go back to the Museum after the Ford Rouge Factory Tour is completed. An interesting tour, but not the best factory experience that I have taken.

Still, it's an interesting part of the history of southeast Michigan, specifically military history. The grounds are pretty, and parking is easy here, since there's a metered city lot right behind it. I was there around 11 a.m. on a weekday, and while you do have to put quarters in the meter, there wasn't any trouble finding a spot. I did have the frustrating experience of having to stop by several times before it opened. I arrived a little early and was told to come back at 11 a.m. I came back at 11 a.m., and the door was still closed. I figured maybe my watch was running fast so I took a walk around the grounds and came back, but realized that time was running out on the meter and I was going to have to put more money in. It was a good thing I remembered, too, because a City of Dearborn truck came through to check the meters as my last minute ran out. The building is one of several built in the 1830s as arsenals around the area. The building was the commandant's home, but it was part of a larger walled complex at one time. Now, it's right in the heart of downtown Dearborn on Michigan Ave., mixed in with restaurants and record stores.
