The 5…read moreCircle System is an integration of techniques from numerous martial arts, including Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, and Jiu-Jitsu. Classes are grouped by age and rank, and students learn in the traditional group setting. Achievement at ASKJ is not measured in championships or trophies. Instead, achievement is measured in terms of accomplishing personal goals, conquering fear, and achieving personal excellence. Grandmaster Byrne takes great pride in the efforts and achievements of his students, not simply within the martial arts arena but also in their personal lives. He and the staff at ASKJ are wholly dedicated to teaching not just martial arts, but the tenets of personal excellence as well. ASKJ also offers a state of the art After School Program that offers an excellent alternative to traditional daycare. Students learn self-defense, respect, confidence, and self-control all before their parents leave work. ASKJ provides transportation from most surrounding schools and daily classes include martial arts instruction, anti-bully training, supervised homework, various fitness activities, and much more! Cage Fitness is also available, which combines high intensity interval training with Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) to provide an exciting, effective, and challenging workout! Despite the name, there's no fighting, partners, contact, or getting in a cage. Great for all fitness levels!

This guy is a fraud I included his post about not discipling kids even knowing he advertises he will teach your kid discipline and self control My grandaughter was harrased and chased around by a behavioral kid for month and I tried getting this resolved with absolutely no help. She was very active and in Taekwondo, Judo and weapons, we paid thousands for all this just to be pushed out way before her time was up. When i asked for a refund i got this threatening message thats below in the pics. We did not owe him for private lessons, we paid over 400 dollars for the lessons she recieved and when I asked last week, we still had 12 left. This guy was just after our money, he already had all our money so their was no reason for him to resolve behavioral issues with the school. Nothing I said here is slander. The beginner class was more of a warmup that focused on footwork and technique and the intermediate class moved into hitting and bag work. While the trainers and workout was fantastic, about 45 minutes of the two hours was taken up by the trainer talking (no movement during this time) and one-on-one work with the first trainer. The one-on-one time was great, however, if you were not working with the trainer you were just standing around. It seems this time would be more beneficial if people were paired up to continue training while waiting for their turn with the trainer. If you are looking for a workout, you may want to just attend the beginner class. If you are looking to become more efficient and trained in boxing, both classes are probably needed. The intermediate class (at least during our visit) is just a continuation of the first class and cannot stand on its own. While the extended time was a let down, as newbies we definitely needed the break. If we were to continue on, this would probably be an issue if all classes have this amount of down time. Happy training Yelpers!
