The worst experience I could have ever imagined given that I have known the owner over half of my life.. even after the entire town warned me I gave it a shot over other local dealers. I'm unsure where to start.. I financed my car on August 18th, 2021 and the transmission went out on me by October 14th, 2021. But hey good thing he gave me a three month powertrain warranty right?? NOPE he informed me that he would tack the cost of that repair/replacement onto the back of my car loan... after asking me if I would rather be put into another vehicle to save me from "paying more than what it's worth" I asked several times to do this.. since it was an option given to me and was left with either no response or "we don't have anything on the lot right now" and then even better the last excuse was " well it's too early on in the loan to do it" THEN WHY WAS THAT OPTION OFFERED TO ME?!?! So fast forward to January 3rd, 2022 and he messaged me to tell me my payments would kick back that Friday (they paused my payments when I had to leave the vehicle at the dealership for months waiting on the transmission) so that would mean that my next payment would be due January 7th, 2022.. not December 8th of 2021 as you can see in the photo attached.. not to mention that is a photo of him posting my account information in their system ONTO FACEBOOK WHICH IS ILLEGAL to do. I had repeatedly told him that I would not make a payment or give a third party my information until he explained to me why my powertrain warranty did not cover the cost of the transmission.. this went on from January until today... not one single time during this period or any period after I signed the loan papers has anyone contacted me and asked me to surrender the vehicle... nor were papers served to me. When I brought up getting legal advice he tried to bribe me by saying if I brought the vehicle back he would "rip up the loan" and forget about the whole thing. It was his " one time offer". I refused because that would mean I would get $0.00 of the over $2,000.00 I put down not including all the payments I had made up until October when the transmission went out.. or the first payment I made in January which was in cash and in person at the lot. So when I asked about my down payment back he left me on read. The next message I received was asking for my address so that he could send me some "paperwork". I did not give him my address.. I brought up the warranty again and made it clear that if they would take responsibility for that then I would gladly come catch up the rest of January and the two payments due for February. He agreed... when I asked wether I should make that payment at the lot in person today or over the phone he stopped responding... that was around 1:30pm and by 5:30pm without warning or notice he sent a repo out to my home to take the car. Needless to say.. the condition of the car is horrible. After the transmission was replaced more and more was discovered. When it rains it leaks into the car so the floor boards stay soaked and rain from the sunroof apparently leaks into the car as well through the interior lights. When popping the hood to replace a headlight that he did not replace before I purchased the car and to replace some fuses.. myself and my boss discovered open wiring all around the fuse box and battery as well as a dirty rag shoved down into the car under the hood. Overall the experience has cost me over $2,000, I had to wait 2 1/2 months almost 3 for the car to become drivable again.. it took me 1 of those months repeatedly asking for a dealer or loaner car to use since they had kept mine for so long. I was lied to, avoided, lied about, and my privacy was broken online when I finally spoke out about what they had done to me by posting my account information which again if you check the photos attached... his information does not match with the proof I have provided of our communication about the payments. I hate to have to leave such a review and I hate to have to legally take action in order to have justice and make this right. But I have no choice. read more
