We stayed here one night on March 30, 2021 in a cabin as we were traveling from Florida to Kentucky . I see others posting pictures of bugs there I only had one bug which looked more like a June bug than a cockroach ! Clean inside bed was just ok . Not a plastic mattress a little Only one cabin no bathroom.Bathroom within walking distance . Friends stayed the the one TeePee which was nice a little hot inside but their staff brought them a portable fan . There is a portable a/c unit works ok . The complimentary breakfast of pancakes, waffles, biscuits gravy good ! Staff there very friendly and nice ! We would stay here again ! One thing I would ask please have your maintenance man add a railing to stairs for TeePee as some people need the railing to hold on to something to use the stairs to go to teepee ! Reserved through KOA. Owners dropped KOA days after we arrived with no notice to us. Lost 3 months of KOA points, benefits and main reason we chose here. Strike one! No social anything if important. Overall property has great potential. Here for 3 months. We would have left but could find no other park available for duration. Had 3 site mgrs during stay. 4th arriving next week. Hard to work for these owners?? Badly Rutted drives makes hard swaying for large rigs. Our site was so far off level, class A tires off the ground 6", almost 16" total SO many silly rules not revealed until sign in. 1) Park only on gravel but hardly 4- 6' wide of gravel with mostly grass growing in it. Nothing defined. 2) No mat's. However, there is no pad area at site of any kind. when it rained ( a lot) you have to walk through standing water and mud. Several more Strike 6? Again, unfortunate. This KOA Campground was very conveniently located a mile or so from I-75. Several sites with trees (pecans!) and a small lake brimming with bass (catch & release). Most impressive, though, were the workampers operating the place, Kelly & John. Kelly was very accommodating, and went out of her way to arrange two sites together for our friends. The grounds were neat as a pin, and while older, the restrooms & outbuildings were clean and appeared freshly painted. Pool was very inviting. Highly recommend for a short stopover. read more

Easy place to spend a night or two while on the road. Level gravel pads in either sun or shade. I asked for a shady spot. Full hookup, concrete pad with picnic table and fire ring. read more

When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted by Linda, the assistant manager. They have a nice little store with essentials. They lead us to our site, which was a pull through, important to us when we are just stopping for one night; they are 100% pull through spaces. There are plenty of trees, providing shade and a more natural feel. Site was nice and level with full hook ups. WiFi was strong, cable provided many channels. The store sells firewood, and every site has a fire ring. Actually, our site didn't have a ring when we arrived, so I called the office and they brought us one within minutes. Their store has a nice dinner menus and they deliver freshly prepared food right to your site. Reasonable prices. The French fries were awesome. (Posted pic of menu... sorry it's wrinkled) FREE breakfast included. Great coffee, pancakes, waffles, sausage gravy biscuits, orange juice. Yum! Made fresh. They have the standard features, pool, playground, shower house, etc, which I didn't experience personally. There's also a nice walking trail. Why 5 stars? SERVICE! Excellent service. P.S. I read some other reviews that talked about bugs, we had no problem with bugs. Also the bugs others showed are not roaches, those are palmetto bugs. Very common in Georgia and Florida. read more

This is a very well maintained KOA. The bathrooms could be upgraded but that is my only issue. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Nice walking trail and a few horses to pet and feed if you get some treats from the office. A couple catch and release fishing ponds also along the walking trail. Very quiet campground because it isn't right beside the highway. The sites are large compared to other campgrounds. Multiple dog areas. read more

This is a nice place for an overnight stay. They have a pool, playground, pet walking area, and a nice area to walk. The pool and playground close at 8pm. They have Rec room(closes at 9pm) with a large TV, exercise machines, puzzles, and tables. The campground does not have cement slabs but has full hook-up for what you need. Wi-fi is available. There seemed to be only one small bathhouse but it was clean. Bring bug spray!!!!!!!! The Mosquitos are terrible here. It's really a beautiful place, nice GA countryside, but the bugs..... read more

Came in after sundown left early morning so didn't see the full extent of the facilities. Bathrooms were clean. Not a good place to tent camp. You literally could not walk around the tent area without stepping on dog poop. It was everywhere! I'm guessing people who are RV camping use the tent camping grass as their personal dog bathroom and do not clean up after their pets. Also this was just our personal experience, but the people in the tent sites next to us were incredibly loud and carrying on until midnight, They were fighting and screaming at each other, and the person staying in the cabin next to us came right outside of our tent and were loud in the middle of the night as well. Probably fine if you are RV camping, definitely avoid if you're in a tent. read more

LOVE this campground! Everyone is so kind and so helpful! Very clean. Park, pool and fishing! Volleyball, tetherball. Picnic tables and fire rings. WiFi and cable. Each site is quite spacious. Two lakes and a long nature trail. The smaller lake is very pretty, the larger lake is downright gorgeous. The front office has a store with anything you may need. And if your hands are too full, they'll even help you bring your items to your camper (ie firewood). Everyone is super laid back and extremely friendly. Price point per night is awesome. Can't wait to visit again and we intend on staying much longer! read more

I absolutely loved this place! Each time I travel through this area, I want to stop and stay the night. I finally did and I was not disappointed by any means! The bathrooms are very well kept, the showers were spotless, you never find bathrooms this clean at campgrounds! They have a cute little pool area to cool down in. A gift shop with firewood!! Everything reasonably priced from what I seen. We rented the cabin since weather wasn't great. The cabin was perfect!!!! Had a mini fridge, microwave, AC unit, 3 beds (2 bunk beds, 1 had a full bottom), little flat screen tv, a cute porch with a chair built in, and a fire ring! If you wanted to grill, they have a spotless grill for you to use and a sturdy picnic table. We sat outside around the fire mostly, but I was in heaven!! This is a must-visit! read more

Nice cabin among arrival not the nices spot but it's 50 a night so nice for the price. However very ran down bathrooms but nice trails for you and your pets to stretch your legs. But what keeps me from me from recommending the cabins are the roaches. That are everywhere at night I woke up to get water when I looked down to at least 20 running around. read more

Tifton KOA Journey, RV Campground What a delightful surprise today! Here's what we found: The campground is just one straight mile off I 75, down Union Rd., which removes you completely from the sounds of Interstate 75 traffic. Conveniently the same exit as a Pilot Fuel Station with a fabulous Truck/RV Wash! We found a spaciously laid out campground for privacy, with the children's playground space far enough from campers but close enough to the front visiting porch to allow parents to relax and still have a close eye on their children. The kids zeroed in on the swings, the bounce platform and room to run. They expended their couped-up energy that had mounted during our travel today. We had stumbled on a place to escape the stress from our long day of travel. Relaxed (with beer, coffee, soda and wine from the camp store) and recharged in the fresh air and sunshine. We even took out our bocce ball set and challenged the kids! Oh, and one last thing, the camp store had every item for our RV recharge, everything we needed to make lunch and dinner! And low and behold, complimentary warm apple cider donuts for the kid's breakfast while we had the complimentary breakfast and coffee. Excellent! Thank you for a wonderful spot to stop yesterday, David DeFeo! You were such a pleasure to talk with! Can't wait for April when we can return to your campground on our way back north. read more

Tifton GA - Tifton KOA review We stopped here on the way to Stone Mt GA -- it seems to be a former private campground bought up by KOA -- in typical KOA fashion the sites are close together. There is 1 cement RV pad and 1 wood cabin . The play ground is small , has a pool small , no enclosed dog park just a "walk"which is a grass lane that circles around the campground and lake . There is a pond and we did see some campers had fishing poles There isn't much to do in the area but a few things are listed on the camp map. close to I-75 entrance which is why hubby picked it for our overnight stay . Has sewer and water as well as 50 amp service .Cable service but we didn't use it and we did well with antenna -- free wifi -- my opinion and review -- pit stop -- if you are headed through to Fla or north to Atlanta this is a 1 nite stop . The sites are on gravel and grass and not level, majority were pull through sites -- nothing impressive or to write home about -- bring your bug spray gnats are aweful -- i rate my sites again or been there done that -- this gets --been there done that REVIEW--Georgia -- read more

After driving from Tennessee it was late and saw a KOA. Stopped in to see if they had a spot and the owner was at the counter and was so gracious . The part I found hard to believe is they are open until 8 pm in Tifton !!! I have been to much more populated places with shorter hours. He gave us a great spot overlooking such a beautiful pasture . It's on 30 plus acres of such a great view. Did I also say they have horses that you can go up to an pet. Very clean..... Level .... And excellent water pressure !!! read more

I completely understand people camp to relax but there are people like myself who must work to pay for motor homes and bills. It is a balancing act to manage family and business on the road so I look for locations that offer wifi so I can work late into the night and early in the morning. This is when I'm on vacation or working. This is one of those cases where I was working and needed wifi. Checking in was wonderful. The staff was great and absolutely no problems. As a matter of fact after a few years of not having a KOA Membership, I joined again. Cable was spotty and problematic. I can deal with that, although we were dealing with the Comey testimony and I really wanted to hear CNN and was traveling during but wanted the recap of it all - I dealt with it the best I could. However the internet is not something I could be without. I went to the office and told the office where were situated (an upgraded location), and the guy hits the reboot on the router. Now, if that router is going to hit my motor home, I know I don't have a chance of getting much of a signal. I came back later and told him it wasn't working. He hits it again. I called the office and told them there was still problems later on. They leave for the night. I'm still trying to play catch up for work from being on the road. Now it is in the middle of the night and I'm just fed up. The voice mail is on, no one is answering. I've talked to other regulars in the park and they say this and the cable is a regular problem. If this is a regular problem, why doesn't someone fix it? The next day, they aren't in the office until 1:00PM. I walk the park looking for the handy man who empties trash as I saw him running around in a golf cart. He has disappeared faster than I can walk. I give up. There are signs to self check in late at night of course. There are signs to call for problems. I've now addressed this problem three times and they know there is an issue. My husband is packing it up and as I am walking back to my motor home, I come across another park camper who told me about a clubhouse (you mean there is a clubhouse for member's here?). There are routers literally feet from my place and not in the mechanic's shed like the guy I spoke with in the afternoon who was too lazy to reset that router close to me or the one that may be there. The camper regulars know about it - and this person resets it. But it is too late. My husband knows I have had my fill, I need to work and meet deadlines and he wants to get on with our day. We have packed it up and we are out of this place. It is too bad too. The people that checked us in were really nice. The guy in the office is was a jerk. The owner I wrote to while I was on the road and I received what I thought was a professional letter. I called him back. What I got was blasted on the phone by a man who said he can't fix what they don't know about. What do you mean? I have only informed his staff how many times? Isn't it their job to inform him of problems? read more

The people here have never met a stranger and they honestly treat you like family. We are from Independence, MO, our truck broke down here and we are guests at this park. The owners, Eugene and Lisa Gilmore have been wonderful, as well as the other residents here. They have offered to take us where we need to go, have gone to the grocery store for us and have helped where other places would have turned their backs on us.
