This soccer club is all about the $$$. First off, they are two times the cost of other recreational…read moreleagues in neighboring cities. Second, they stack one team with their competitive team kids into rec. season. So every year, it seems that one team clobbers all others in a very unfair advantage. Third, the games for the single division (age group) are on one field, but don't let that fool you. Different divisions are on different fields. Therefore, if you have multiple kids, get ready to miss most games as they may be at the same time on different fields (this is a specific question that I asked when registering. I was told they would group kids of the same family for the same practice day on the same field & for game days. This is impossible for games. Practices, the attempt wasn't made we had four days of soccer between two kids). Fifth, if your older kiddo plays at Vista sports park, be ready to freeze for late night Friday games or burn on Saturday games. The turf is so hot at there is no shade at all. Sixth, our coach was mostly concerned with getting kids to join the competitive team. Every week, he pressured the MVP until he received a solid "no" answer from the parents then he moved on the next best MVP. Lastly, our coach was late often to games and inattentive, watching a movie on his phone, during the "end of he season team party". It is so disorganized & poorly managed. Recommended to find another, more cost affective rec. team.

The coaches are nice and all the kids have good sportsmanship. My older daughter wants to play also but they have an age cutoff of 8 years for soccer and I believe 7 for baseball. I would recommend that location. The Steele Canyon location is a great turf field. The field director that is there (Ericka) makes the experience horrible. She doesn't focus on the games when she is officiating. She lets the coaches tell her how to call the game. She constantly tries to use her power as the field director to bully people around. There have been many instances where she argued with coaches about the rules even though the coach has the rules printed out and showed her them. She just didn't care. She was gonna run the game how she wanted instead of following the rules that were set. If she gets replaced with someone who is more down to earth and open to playing the game the way it is suppose to be that location would be amazing. I hope to see some changes in the future.

This basketball league is by far one of the worst ones I have ever enrolled my children in- from "coaching" and how staff handled it overall. At first glance, staff was friendly and appeared knowledgeable about the game. But when it came to practice and the actual game, it was lacking. Understandably most kids have never played basketball, but it shouldn't stop you, the coach/staff, from calling a blatant travel all game OR addressing it during practice! Not addressing it just builds bad habits especially for young players. Cool story. There were younger players who finished their championship game before ours. All trophies were on a table outside for presentation. When the winning team went outside, the 2nd place team had taken the 1st place trophies and the champion team had to settle for 2nd place medals due to a lack of coordination by staff. Again, I'm sure the winning players felt wonderful afterwards. Another amazing story. During my son's championship game the staff realized the team were lopsided and decided to swap my son and another player to the losing team after the first quarter. First off, shouldn't the staff know their players by season's end to divide teams evenly? Apparently not cause no one was paying attention all season. In the end, the losing team lost and the staff gave my son a participation medal which went into the trash before we even left the gym. Save your money folks and go somewhere else.

She started at age 2 and kept becoming a stellar star student with Coach Dino (had to leave for military) and Coach Donald Duck. They teach kids about rewards and earning Phoenix Dollars where you earn and save for prizes at the end of class. My daughter absolutely enjoyed this incentive! Overall we would highly recommend trying out this program early on around 2-3 year old. I personally enjoy the non competitive atmosphere but appreciate the structure of practice/drills. It is both fun and disciplined.

I spoke with Coach Donald Duck (Doug), and he was incredibly kind and willing to come out to our neighborhood to host a class. Unlike other programs we have tried that required a minimum number of participants, Coach Doug's main focus was simply teaching and coaching the kids. His passion really shines through. He is wonderful with the children. He is friendly, kind, and even a little silly to keep them engaged, while still having the right balance of discipline. He teaches the kids to listen, follow directions, and be kind to one another. Best of all, he actually teaches them real skills for the sport. It is not just running around. He designs fun games that incorporate the skills they are learning, which keeps the kids excited and motivated. Overall, Phoenix Sports has been such a positive experience for our family. We are definitely planning to continue with them and cannot wait to try out the other sports they offer.

It was re-tracked, or whatever it is called when they redid the rubber last year, which gives it a much bouncier feel than before. It is very safe, and there are blue "emergency phone poles" that dial to the campus police station in case you need them. There is a permit machine in the parking lots where you can buy hourly permits. There is also two portable restrooms, unless you want up walk up to the buildings and use those. For those sprinters out there, the north end if the track (next to the scoreboard) catches strong gusts of wind for about 75 meters, so you've been warned. My office overlooks the track so I see it almost every day. It's nice, its clean and it sure beats the treadmill. Wave if you're here.

The turf was smooth and soft. Unfortunately, there's not much to see as CSU is still in construction. I hear that many people from the community come here for their fitness needs, and I felt pretty safe running on the track. Note: Come on Wed evenings. The Farmer's Market is located on campus in one of the parking lots. The track is right across the street. Workout and grub on healthy fruits and snacks afterward!
