The picnic table area is directly right next to the playground, which is so ideal! The bathrooms & parking are a bit far of a walk from the playground and unfortunately no swings, but absolutely love this park!! (Also if planning a bigger event like an invite list birthday party I highly recommend calling vista parks and recreation to make a proper reservation for the covered picnic table area!The ranger comes out very early in the morning and mark it off as officially reserved signs! It's a true community park. The one thing I'd love to see improve is the upkeep like dog waste on the ground is a recurring issue, and the lights over the baseball fields don't always cooperate at night. But for a neighborhood park that also runs summer camps through the community center, it's exactly what a good local park should be. We appreciate it.

It has both a large and small area for the dogs. Both are fenced in. Both have water and poopie bags available. For being in a neighborhood,it was pretty clean. It has a clay surface,like a baseball field. Which is what I prefer,no smell,and easier to keep clean. We lucked out,there was another beagle there today. I would suggest to look at the Google map to see the various entry points so that you can street park and get into the park conveniently. This park have 7 baseball fields and 3 patches for throw practices. They do how multiple restaurant areas and booth for snacks and coffee. If you have smaller kids there is a play area right in the center of the park and it's convenient for the families to drop that kids and watch the game. The perk for parents, there are multiple micro breweries around this park so feel free to have a beer or 2 after the game.

The outfields look well taken care of as well as the infield. There are bleachers centered where you could sit on sides to view field 1, 2 and 3. Another bleacher that views only field 3. This field provides a score board for each field. Just in front of the snack bar is a nice sized seating area built around a tree. This venue is quite crowded as there is always 3 games going on at the same time and by time they are finished another team is ready to start. Lighting is pretty good during the evening games. Parking is a madhouse. Do arrive early so that you can find parking and not be late to the game!

Park is in nice shape and was very quiet on a Monday on a holiday. The weather was gray and started raining a little so that could have something to do with it. It was nice to see dog owners walking their dogs and letting them roam around taking full advantage of what the park has to offer. It is very close to a gate to enter Camp Pendleton. This beauuutiful 42-acre park contains the largest public tennis complex in the city (10 tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts), basketball court, baseball/softball fields, a multi-sport turf arena, alongside a modern playground, designated dog park area, and shaded picnic areas. Major pluses are restrooms, drinking fountains, and free parking. I definitely recommend this green space and family-friendly park to the Yelp Community :-)

The few times I've been here has been enjoyable and everyone (including dogs) have been very amicable. The dog park is very well kept and like how they have some little obstacles courses for the dogs. The pickleball courts are also very nice but there are some areas that have been worn out, mostly behind the baseline. But nice seating area and efficient paddle system to rotate people in and out. I only wish it was closer to me.
