Lasagna 2 Go

Lasagna 2 Go

I attended a Yelp experience last month that featured Lasagna 2 Go. I had a great experience that…read moreI've been back for more. Lasagna 2 Go is located in a small mall near York University. Both visits, I dropped by after work. The mall has a parking lot. It does get a bit busy at night. I backed into a spot and took the entrance on the left to head inside. There was a huge banner that led me to this food stall. You can't miss it. This place goes get busy at dinnertime. Both times, staff were pleasant and nice. York University students and non-students alike drop by for some good, cheap eats in this mall, so it makes sense why this place is so popular. There is a special for students. Between 11 am and 1 pm, they can get the son's size lasagna for $5. It's such a steal that I almost want to be a student again for this deal only... haha! You can choose between beef or vegetable lasagna. I have now had both. It takes approximately six minutes to heat up a small (son's) size of lasagna. The medium size is the dad. You can get a double of each size, depending on your hunger pangs. I don't mind waiting for yumminess. Staff were cool to come around the counter both times to hand me my food. It was such a nice touch. During my first experience, I had ordered a caesar salad. I noticed while heading to my car that I didn't have it, so I walked back. The male staffer immediately knew and was extremely apologetic. Craziness does that to all of us. I paid with a credit card both times. It allows tapping. Paying with mine was smooth. The son's size of lasagna is generous for one person to devour. I brought my lasagna home both times. It was still warm in my insulated bag. This place does four-layer lasagna. I liked that it had the perfect amount of cheese, which made it not terribly rich. It had sliced mushrooms in it. Yes! It pleased this mushroom fan. The difference between the meat and vegetarian lasagna versions was the sauce. The meat sauce in the former was excellent. It tasted homemade. My side salad was decent. I got croutons, parmesan cheese, and Italian dressing in separate small containers. The lettuce was romaine, which made my day because it was fresh and crisp. It made me happy, Getting grab-and-go lasagna is a brilliant concept. I love the lasagna here that's made with love and care. It's yummy. This place is the perfect stop to grab takeout lasagna while heading home from the office. (38)

Followed instructions. Very easy. It's a long way to go for a dish like this. I can say, it was okay but have had better.

Healthy Alternative is truly the best healthy alternative food delivery option we've found so far…read more(especially for their vegan options) that is both reasonable price-wise and tastes amazing (without a lot of the unsavoury additives you'll find...ahem...corn syrup). We've tried LiveFit, Yumba, WeCook...I can't believe I actually WANT to order their salads - they're that good. I've also ordered the meat options and they were great too. The only reason why I've given them 4 stars is because I wish their ordering system was more clearly explained and user friendly on the website, because I had to call/email them a couple times to figure out how to do it. Just a heads up, it's a food subscription, they offer a first time delivery discount code, call them and ask for it. You order a plan through the website then they email you the weekly menu options. They also offer some wiggle room in the delivery dates, which is awesome. Also, free delivery, yay!! I also wish they offered more non-soy vegan options, but still love that they offer delicious vegan options. As a side note, I've really loved their salad dressings & sauces so far (particular YUM to their tzatziki or aioli sauces). Definitely worth a try if you're trying to find a delicious and healthy option!

It must have been "food fate", because I'm extremely happy that I made the change. What I like most about Healthy Alternative: --Tasty fresh food with different menu selections per delivery (I especially love their breakfast dishes) --Portion-controlled to fit my diet --Customized for special requests (i.e. No asparagus for me, please!) --Delivered right to my door twice a week --Fairly priced If and when I've had any concerns, Healthy Alternative has always been quick to respond and rectify the issue. Now that's what I call customer service! I look forward to continuing my service with HA for a long time to come. Thank you! :)

I have read about this place on BlogTO and bookmarked it for a future visit. Finally, I had a…read morechance to visit here on a Saturday with my neighbors and my boyfriend for lunch. The place was small and I almost missed the sign! When we entered, an older gentleman greeted us warmly and took us to a seat at the back. He brought us water and informed us that if we have any questions, he would be happy to answer them. We decided to try their thali (for two people, a part of the dinner menu). My neighbors picked Utsav Thali (2 non-vegetarian and 1 vegetarian) and so did we. For drinks, they ordered tea and we ordered masala chai. Everything was delicious- the food came hot and fresh, and the flavours were rich and deep. Plus, the portion size reflected the price point. We ate like royalty! We were too full, so we did not get a chance to try the desserts. Delicious food, friendly service, and quiet ambiance- a hidden gem in Yorkville area!

Who would have thought that Yorkville could be home to an amazing Indian restaurant? And we didn't…read moreeven have to pay an exorbitant price for the privilege. Going there on an early weekday evening, the place was fairly quiet and we received exceptionally warm service from the owner. The ambiance was muted and elegant, despite being a small space. I ordered the eggplant bharta, which turned out to be one of the best I've ever had. The smoky flavour of the eggplant blended exquisitely with the various spices - I also loved that the texture was slightly more chunky than usual. I could tell that they definitely toned down the heat a little, which I appreciated - just make sure to let them know if you prefer otherwise. My friend enjoyed her paneer dish very much as well, and in fact was so impressed by the restaurant (or maybe was hallucinating) that she swore the water was somehow special as it tasted sweet...spoiler, it was just tap water. An unexpectedly wonderful find! I suppose I will be frequenting the area more often.
