Some brands were local, and others were non-local. I am from the U.S., and some stores and restaurants here are also in the U.S. Therefore, I felt most interested in the non-US brands such as Marks & Spencer. This mall is also supposed to have ice skating, bowling, and movies, although I did not participate in those activities.

There was reasonably priced food, wifi, and I could get a little shopping in. This was 15 years ago. Glad to see 15 years later, this mall is still kicking, and they have really built up this area a lot more. They still have a nice mix of stores, although some of their kiosks are gone, like their Whittard's kiosk. The food court wasn't bad, although I did notice a couple places were empty. There is still wifi, although that's less of an issue now. And they still have the M&S, thankfully. If you're going on a cruise, and have some time to kill, I think this mall is a great stop, especially considering there are other things in the area too if you get bored with the mall. There is another mall in the area, but that one is a little more empty, whereas West Quay still seems to have a crowd.

Having said that Primark is great, and other stores i've been in have been very good and much more organised!

I love love love primark!…read more This a fairly big store and has everything you need! The clothes are cheap as is the underwear and accessories. People often comment that the clothes are not good quality but almost everything i have bought has washed up well and i have worn time and time again. However if you do get the odd item that doesnt wash or wear well it is not a major loss because of the cheapness. I often buy my summer holiday wardrobe at Primark with t-shirts costing between £1.50 and £3 and shorts for about £5. Flip flops and bikinis are also amazing value. I am not overly keen on the ladies underwear but my partner wears the boxer shorts and the black socks for work. The only downside to this shop is the queue's and the fact that it sometimes resembles a jumble sale! The queue's are massive and sometimes snake around the clothes! I would recommed going 1st thing in the morning when it opens and midweek, never a weekend! The staff are always nice and will always go out to the stock room to look for stuff for you.

Well what a great store such a large selection of prom and bridal dresses, we found all staff…read morelovely and friendly and with such a lot of experience and helpful advice /guidance, the after care and help was brillant don't think you would find this anywhere else as we needed to change a wedding dress which was purchased months back due to requiring a larger size, at time we only had a few weeks till wedding. I have to say they were so helpful they resolved the issue and replaced dress with larger size with attention to every detail service we received was 100% plus can highly recommend the shop and team, you took away all the stress and upset that my niece and her mum were going through, thank you so much hope you continue to do well in the future it's well deserved. Over several visits, I have encountered the same rude and dismissive attitude from this particular manager. Instead of offering support or assistance, they have consistently spoken in an unhelpful, abrupt, and frankly unacceptable manner. As a patient, I expect a basic level of respect and empathy, especially when dealing with health-related concerns. Unfortunately, this manager shows none. What's worse is that these incidents weren't isolated - their attitude seems to be a pattern, not just a bad day. On each occasion, I left the store feeling humiliated and completely let down. There is absolutely no excuse for such behaviour, particularly from someone in a management position who should be setting an example. I strongly urge Boots to take this feedback seriously and investigate the conduct of the store manager at this branch. No one should be treated the way I was, and unless changes are made, I will be taking my business elsewhere and advising others to do the same. I believe the rude store managers name is Ben

This is a large store over two floors in Portsmouth city centre…read more We arrived in Portsmouth via Portugal and Spain. I had time to kill so I wandered in just to check out the price of Chanel No 5 Eau de Parfum - the worlds first abstract fragrance - as my wife was shopping so I was curious as I had already purchased a few 200ml bottles when touring Europe. It was discounted in store but even with 10% off it was still double the price I'd paid. The store assistant at the perfume department was a cheerful soul and she was diligent. She tried her best to sell me perfume but I politely declined. Once it was clear I was a no-sale wastrel she quickly picked up on the next curious male who knew he wanted something for a gift for, as he put it, as only English chaps can, 'er in doors' but he had no clue what to buy. The assistant was in her element and her pitch as I wandered away was to gauge how much he was prepared to spend but as I went out of hearing range he couldn't even decide between Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette.... Decisions decisions. As I walked up Main Street I wasn't aware I was just a few minutes away from the Starbucks fleecers that would charge me 5p for a plastic cup for tap water despite being surrounded by ceramic cups. Must be an old male bastard thing, I hate being ripped off, but then it might just be me.
