In Denmark, the stores for large women like me tend to think that we want to wear frills and large flowers which I definitely DON'T, so I love my stuff from Bonmarché. Will actually be going to Reading in a few days, and can't wait to visit Bonmarché there! I agree with other reviews here on QYPE - the clothes are generally for the more mature woman (I'm 51) - and a lot of it I didn't like. But that's the kind of shop I like - something for everyone! I found a dress I loved and said we would be back, as my other bridesmaid wasn't with me. We went back several weeks later, date of wedding was then set, they remembered me and the dress I liked. My bridesmaids pick out the dresses they like and they found sizes fir them to try, although not the colour, just to get the feel for fit. Helped me into my dress again, for the second bridesmaid to give her verdict. Was a goer, tried on some shoes to get the height right and ordered in a shorter length for me.we made a purchase that day, deposit was paid, am going back soon to pick these up and can thank them enough for their help.

Glad to see 15 years later, this mall is still kicking, and they have really built up this area a lot more. They still have a nice mix of stores, although some of their kiosks are gone, like their Whittard's kiosk. The food court wasn't bad, although I did notice a couple places were empty. There is still wifi, although that's less of an issue now. And they still have the M&S, thankfully. If you're going on a cruise, and have some time to kill, I think this mall is a great stop, especially considering there are other things in the area too if you get bored with the mall. There is another mall in the area, but that one is a little more empty, whereas West Quay still seems to have a crowd.

Maybe we were all just escaping the rain that day. Westquay was very clean and they had a nice assortment of stores. My wife's favorite store was Marks & Spencer. This large department store had some good deals. My favorite shop was located on the second floor (I believe). Actually, it was more like a large kiosk. One girl was manning the place. It was called Continental Bakery, and the selection of baked goods was fantastic. I ordered a couple of Pastel De Nata which tasted excellent!! Very good price points also! Wish I had bought some other stuff while we were there. Anyways, visiting the Westquay Shopping Centre is a "Must do" when in Southampton. I noticed that there is also a Nando's Restaurant upstairs in the food area which I'll have to go to next time also.

Their clothes are beautiful but not every ones taste, and certainly expensive. Some are ethnic and some are luxurious, but all are very good quality. If there were a branch in Poole, I would have a very difficult life indeed!

The location consists of multiple stories, with each section having a dedicated clearance section. All prices are clearly marked, and include taxes (which somewhat compensated for the prices being in pounds). My wife got a good deal for a blouse (5 quid), that she wore multiple times on our cruise. Going on a multi-day cruise with just carry-on luggage (allowing us to be nimble as we explore), means only light weight clothing that is easy to handwash/air dry. TK Maxx (just like its sibling Marshalls/TJMaxx in the States) is great place to pick up heavily discounted clothes that fit that bill. It's also fun to see what fashion and brands a foreign country is selling...in this case, it was similar to what we are able to find in the States (along with similar prices). It was a self checkout and we had no issues using our US bank issued card. Learning: TJK changed the name to TK Maxx to avoid confusion with a British retailed called T.J. Hughes.

This time we were not allowed to come in even when my 4 years daughter was crying because she came to buy toys but could not come in. Also, it says online that small dogs are allowed. Very bad experience and very upsetting.
