Wow! Somebody's Grandma made this coconut cake--it is absolutely delicious and the best I have ever had! My Husband thought it was also delicious. We tasted their strawberry shortcake at a Birthday Party and decided we needed to order one but while online, we thought we would also order the coconut cake and, we are so glad we did. Both cakes are delicious! They were closed so we placed the orders online on Saturday and the cakes were ready as indicated online for their next business day which was Tuesday. 9/16/2021: Message to owner/management: I've been getting cakes from Tiffany's for over 25 years and have always recommended them because the cakes are always fresh, beautifully decorated and delicious. However, the cake I ordered and picked up today did not look or taste like a Tiffany's cake--What happened? It reminded me of a cake from Giant--too soft icing and the decorations looked amateurish. For Thanksgiving, I ordered the lemon coconut buttermilk pie after reading a Washington Post article that listed this bakery. I had never heard of this type of pie before so curiosity made me try it. It was excellent!! It cost a few dollars more than their other pies but it was worth it. I called and placed my order and was given an order number. When it was my turn in the short line, I told them my order number and got my pie. My Thanksgiving Day pick up time, which I selected, was noon. It took me about 15 minutes to get my order. NOTE: You can set up an on line account and place an order also. The parking lot is not large. So if there are a lot of pick up, that could be a potential bottleneck. However, when I went at noon, the parking spaces were turning over rather quickly. My #1 bakery is "Desserts by Gerard" in Oxon Hill. I have to taste some other sweets before this bakery can knock Gerrard off their pedestal. This bakery is nearer than Gerard's so that is a factor for my consideration. read more

Tiffany's bakery found a way to accommodate my needs a day before my affair. I needed a German Chocolate cake for my husband. I had read the reviews, so I didn't have any expectations one way or the other. They exceeded my expectations!!!!!!! The gentleman at the counter gave me directions on when I needed to take the cake out of the fridge before my affair. I went home, set up for the party, cut the cake and bam!!!!! Of course they have cupcakes! Of course I tried one! I went back to Tiffany's to order the baby shower cake and they had a small selection of cupcakes, so I bought one red velvet and one lemon. I am not a red velvet fan, so I gave it to MCG (She's not a yelper). She enjoyed the cupcake and the cream cheese frosting, but she wanted more of a chocolatey flavor. Hmm, she must not be a RV fan either. But the Lemon cupcake was really, really delish! The frosting was NOT sour cream, cream cheese, or buttercream; it seemed like a cooked and whipped little pile of lemony goodness! I love really good light whipped lemon frosting. And the cupCAKE (to die for) was really good light cake with excellent lemon flavor. I like to taste the cake first to make sure. BTW, the baby shower cake was very pretty and the crowd loved it! If I can give this company -3 stars I would absolutely do so. I've used him at least three times on a case that I ordered was for my baby shower at all to other occasions for birthday parties. I called after sending an email with a photo of a cake that I Wanted to order for my son's fifth birthday party. The woman I spoke to said she received the email and try very hard to talk me out of ordering this cake if it's a killer. She was extremely unprofessional by stating that they would not like to waste my time or theirs give me an estimate on the cake that's too expensive. I thought this place was very professional. But it is not. We visited this establishment initially two weeks in advance of our engagement TWICE and presented the cake to make sure it could be done. We were told to put in an application online to be provided an estimate. We were never given an estimate, a phone call, or anything stating that this item couldn't be done. After living in this area and passing by this bakery repeatedly over the years, I never stopped in until a girlfriend who is healing from cancer asked me to stop by to get her some goodies. I picked rum cake, pina colada cake, and strawberry shortcake slices, and took them to Pennsylvania with me. I've NEVER tasted any cake so yummy in all my days! The yellow cake was dense, moist, and full of an unbelievable buttery richness with the barest hint of salt, like in old time southern poundcakes. The frostings were light but flavorful. I had 2 terrible expereiences at Tiffany's. The first was in January when they totally screwed up the cupcakes for my daughters birthday party. I had SPECIFIC directions for the colors of the cupcakes. They acknowledged the directions. Then when I went to pick them up they were totally wrong. At that point I had no choice but to use them, the party was in 2 hours. Plus I paid a lot for them. The second was a month later when I orders choc. covered strawberries from them. I specified to pick them up at 11:00. I called at 11 and told them I was running 30 mins late. When I got there at 11:30 they hadn't a clue what I was picking up, they weren't ready and I ended up waiting 30 mins while they dipped 12 strawberries. Well fine they were fresh, but they weren't the 2 dozen I ordered, they were half dipped and the strawberries were mushy, indicating they scrapped together whatever they could find becuase they screwed up. Again I called ahead of time and confirmed everything, so obviously they are just unorganized. I was really disappointed and wasted a total of $200 at this place. Never again! read more

I I have been wanting to place a review for this bakery for a while now I think that this place gives very bad customer service over the phone and through email this place is very unprofessional when it comes to ordering a cake. The design I wanted was specifically for a sweet 16 birthday they did not work with me they sent me too cheesy pictures of a plain birthday cake for my child they were not willing to cooperate with me I couldn't even come in to the bakery to consult with them they seemed really agitated and upset they kept cutting me off as I was speaking on the phone and they told me that they couldn't do nothing for me when I know they could I'm sorry to say but I also think that they could be a little racist as well I've been to this store several times and I've seen the way they deal with certain types of people if you know what I mean the only thing they got going is good cakes but they're very unprofessional I think they all come from the same you know what I do not want to say but they have places for low class people like this I ended up getting a beautiful cake from Laurel Maryland for my daughter's birthday they were more than happy to accommodate me with designs and prices. I have also gotten negative feedback from other people that have bought cake from here or that were attempting to buy a cake but change their mind because of these people's attitudes and customer service levels so there are other people that know about this place and how they are. I am very surprised this place is still up and running as I said before their cakes are delicious I have to give them that but their mannerism is extremely poor they need to work on customer service skills from the customer service person all the way up to the manager. read more
