Walked into the GSP location and inquired about purchasing a wedding gift for one of my friends. Had spent the better part of the evening checking out the gift departments at Neiman's and Nordstrom and came up empty. Walked in to Tiffany's and was greeted by Cindy Tan. She apologetically explained to me that this particular location did not stock housewares or gifts but they had some returns that might interest me. Need to also mention that I was wearing a sweatshirt and fairly tattered jeans so I certainly did not look the part of one of their customers. Anyway, we walked to the back of the store and she proceeded to remove boxes from a closet. The second one she opened contained a Tiffany Atlas salad bowl that was absolutely perfect. SOLD. She could not have been more friendly or engaging. Same with the other associated who I chatted with while she rewrapped the bowl. 15 minutes later I was happily on my way, enormous blue shopping bag in hand. She was also gracious enough to send a follow up email. It's really unfortunate that most retailers these days cut down on their sales help. All too often, in the interest of saving money, we are left to fend for ourselves. The sales people who remain are more like dignified money takers, having only the most rudimentary knowledge of what it is they're supposed to be selling. It's refreshing to find such a welcoming and professional staff at Tiffany. Are they the cheapest option? Not by a long shot but like I always say, sometimes it's not about the money. read more

My fiancé and I came into the store on April 1st to get my engagement ring and wedding ring adjusted. The entire process seemed quick and we were told it would be done in about 2 weeks. We called today to check-in since we haven't heard from them, and to our surprise the sales associate we spoke with said they sent an e-mail asking if we would accept the charges for the adjustment. We never received this email because the email address they had was wrong. In the service order it clearly said it's complimentary, so we were surprised they were asking if we would approve charges. So basically, the rings have been sitting there waiting all this time. Now we have to wait until the end of the week to possibly get the rings back but they said they wouldn't charge anything. They really could've called my fiancé since they have his number. Terrible communication! I can't believe this is the caliber of customer service this Tiffany's location offers. read more

I purchased a necklace, which broke several times. I paid twice for it to get fixed, the third time the representative at Riverside square informed me this necklace has come back from m many customers and I should not be paying for repairs, my last repair was free and she informed me the new chain would be stronger. It was. Now it broke again I went to get it fixed at garden state and they want to charge me $150 (the first two times I paid $150 for a total of $300) I explained what happened last time and essentially if he were to charge me I would have then paid $450 on top of what was paid for the necklace. He looked up my history for my last repair where I also replaced a 18k gold earring for $300. He said he could not tell that I did not pay for the repair even though there is no gold earring that would be replaced for less. My husband has spent thousands in gifts from Tiffany's. NEVER AGAIN. I finally was able to buy my own Tiffany & Co bracelet. I never really even walked into this store because I knew I couldn't afford anything. So on this day I decided I was buying myself something and entered the store. I was greeted immediately as I entered the store. As I walked through the store additional sales people greeted me to check if I had any questions or if I wanted to see anything. The sales staff was friendly and aggressive but not pushy. I have wanted for a long time the Heart Tag Charm Bracelet. I tried the bracelet on at the store but my wrists are too big. I asked the sales person if they could lengthen it about an inch; to my surprise he said they could do it at no additional charge. The piece was shipped to me since it was custom. The wait was not too bad less then a week or so for delivery. The delivery was no charge and saved me a trip back to the mall. My experience here was very nice and my only regret is not remembering the name of the nice man (David) that assisted me with my purchase. Came in recently looking to purchase a bracelet. There was three sales associates on the floor. One couple was being helped by one of the three sales associates so if we do the math correctly that leaves us with two sales associates and one customer (me). I was a few steps away from the couple that was being helped and was completely ignored for a good 5-8 minutes. No one asked if I needed assistance or was being assisted. I asked the sales associate if there was anyone working on the floor and she apologized and said someone will be with me shortly. Finally one of the two sales associates who were fiddling with their fingers came to "help" me. The sales associate was very uninterested in helping me and I say this due to his behavior/body language. I knew what I wanted but was informed they didn't carry it and would have to either order online or possibly purchase at their Riverside location. Alright fine, I look for something else and again was informed the same thing they didn't have the item in store. At this point I just wanted to get out of the store and make a purchase elsewhere. Thankfully due to this experience at Garden State Plaza I am most certainly I will not be making any future purchases at this location. I felt as I didn't belong there I questioned was it the way I was dressed or the color of my skin ? But I continued on walking in while some sales people were just standing there I walked up to the counter and showed a sales woman a picture of a Paloma Picasso pearl necklace she stated they didn't have the gold piece but she could have it shipped to the store she didn't offer anything else she continued on typing on her laptop before I left I asked her if I could have a card with the item information I told her I would come back, went home and debated should I even buy anything from Tiffany's was very disappointed but I did end up making a purchase I was told It would ship to the store and receive a call waited 2 days as they suggested but after two days anxiously I ended up giving the store a call was on hold nervously for at least 20 minutes with thoughts they had lost the order, but shipment had not arrived waited until the end of the day called Tiffany customer service and they were able to give me tracking called back Westfield Garden State Plaza finally I was told it was there, I asked why didn't I received a call saleswoman said I should had received an email oh ok ? Anyway Wish I would have received an unforgettable experience. However I still have love for Tiffany and my daughter does own something from TIFFANY'S and I will one day splurge on me :) read more
