In reading previous reviews, I'm guessing I had a better experience because I booked an appointment ahead of time and had frequent communications with the consultant to ensure that she had the type of engagement rings I was looking for on site before I even arrived. Emelia greeted me the second we walked in at our appointment time, took us to a private room, and showed me all of the different diamond shapes and settings that I had requested. She brought me rings that I wouldn't have chosen for myself, and I actually ended up picking out one that wasn't in my plan at all. She was sure to keep us full of champagne and chocolates, and we had the full Tiffany experience that I had hoped for. We purchased a ring that day, and it arrived just a couple of days later, even though it was paid for, she still showed me another size diamond in the same setting just to confirm that I was happy with what I chose. In the time since, I've had to request different receipts and documentation for my insurance, which Emelia has been happy to provide. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Tiffany & Co. ... only because of employee J. Tauer. This review is simply on my interactions with her, J. Tauer. (Jennifer I think her name was), not on the overall interaction at this location. If J. Tauer had not have been there, I doubt I would have purchased anything and my review would have been 1 star. I honestly assumed I would not enjoy my interactions at T&C. The Galleria, as a whole, has the reputation for being a bit pretentious and of course... Tiffany's does too. We walk in, greeted by security. Nice. I gazed at a few of the cases to see if saw what I had looked at one line, and finally found it. I waited patiently for someone to address me. Unfortunately, out of the 4 ppl who eventually showed up at the end of my sale, none of those ppl greeted me or asked if needed help. Jennifer was helping someone else when I first walked in, so out of the three other employees who were there, I had to wait until she completed her transaction and then come and assist me. I appreciate her customer service. I knew what I wanted, as I had already checked out the website. I had a few questions regarding the chain of my Return to Tiffany necklace. I also wanted a bracelet, but I only wanted to spend $400. Of course, I overspent and spent $575, but I left with a necklace and bracelette and I was able to share with Jennifer that I was buying myself an early bday present to wear out of town, etc. Needed some classic jewelry, etc. She laughed graciously at my stories, treated me like a girlfriend, and helped me and gf as we asked questions and looked around. Over all... this location needs acknowledge Jennifer on her great service and make sure the rest of the employees realize that they do not own T&C and do not have the right to be pretentious and ignore customers. They need a customer service training and need to learn to treat EVERYONE the same... regardless if they feel the individual will be a sale or not. I almost did NOT make my purchase. I don't deserve to treated with inadequate service when I want to spend my money. Jennifer definitely was great and when I go back, I will ask for her by name. This store is in the Galleria...in Edina...which is an area I don't frequent. I really only go there to go to Tiffany. Reading the older reviews, I was really nervous to go. I'm a Tiffany sterling silver kind of girl, and I didn't want my first experience in-store to be a bummer. I had waited a long time, saved up my pennies, and went in with a couple of friends to make my big purchase. The sales staff was really awesome. Attentive, but not pushy. One of the gals I brought with me was looking at engagement rings, and they wrote down all kinds of details about the rings she liked, so that when we sent her boyfriend back, he would know what she liked. They let me look at as many things as I wanted - diamond, platinum, and sterling silver alike. Every item was set out on a black display board, and polished with a cloth to make sure we got the full effect of the jaw-dropping jewelry we were playing with. At the end of the night, the only thing we walked away with was my sterling silver bracelet. Our sales lady was really fabulous, made sure we all got her card, and sent us on our merry way. Pro tip: avoid the $15 shipping fee that Tiffany charges for gift cards by calling the store directly. They will hold it at will call for your recipient. Same goes for any order. The sales people like their commission, and they keep great records of purchases. Call in when you need a trinket for someone, and they will be your new best friend. My only suggestion - update the decor a bit, Galleria! This Tiffany doesn't hold a candle to the one in Chicago in terms of size or sales volume, but the decor isn't up to snuff, either. read more

I saw other reviews and was apprehensive of going to this store but we do not have a Tiffany store in my state. In big cities the employees follow us around making it uncomfortable. Sometimes you just want to look. When I went to this store I had an idea of what I wanted to buy. No shadows. Cool. When I was ready to ask questions, the staff was very helpful. I was planning on purchasing 1 ring and bought 2. Probably because the employee was so easy to work with. Why 3 Stars and not 5? Breakfast at Tiffany's (pretty much the greatest movie ever -- yay Audrey) instilled my love for all things shiny and expensive early on in life. I have my share of their gorgeous sterling silver necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms etc. So I am a dedicated patron. It's my birthday, buy me Tiffany... Christmas - same deal, it's a Wednesday.. I need Tiffany! I have only had bad experiences at this particular location, and the other day was no exception. For Christmas, my boyfriend got me a new charm for my bracelet (lovely gift) and it was gorgeous and definitely going on ASAP! I brought it in to get the charm affixed but it was nearly impossible to find a human to help me on my mission. I was there for over an hour before anyone even acknowledged my presence. When they finally asked what I needed, they pointed me towards guest services but there was some serious mis-communication as to where guest services is. I was told to go to the registers. The registers and the room in the back which is actually guest services are two very different things. The woman at the register gave me a rude look and asked what I was doing there - that people were waiting in line to be helped today. I calmly (barely - I was getting pissed) explained that I was told to go there to guest services. Instead of explaining that I was in the wrong place she stomped over to the lady who told me to go there and was gesturing at me all pissed off and then yelling at the lady asking why I was sent there... Now, the woman comes over and is like.. I sent you to guest services. All patience is gone at this point. I just look at her and say that I'd already waited in the damn line, went where she told me to go and had no idea where the hell guest services was... Lightbulb! All of a sudden someone realizes what an unhelpful ..... she's been and offers me water or tea. No. I get to guest services, give them the jewelry, am told it will take two weeks to get done. Whatever, don't care anymore. The only reason this place even merits one star is because it's Tiffany and I love it so much. At least I don't have to go back to pick up my bracelet. Is it possible to give half a star? Because they deserve half of a star. I really liked Tiffany. I enjoy their silver line- it's a step up from wearing base metal costume jewelry and it's pretty. I have a few of those pieces. I went in looking for a particular ring and was told they would not bring it in to show me because it was "too low" in price. $500 for a silver ring is too low in price??? I did order a few rings and when I came back to pick them up I mentioned I had just placed another order through the website. The sales lady about blew her gasket. She gave this look of "HOW DARE YOU" and said that If I ever need to order something, please do it through the store. Excuse me? Now I ONLY order through the website. And I don't just order silver... I bet they are mad now. Since they are losing COMMISSION on me. FYI: Apparently Tiffany employees get a very low commission rate on silver jewelry, so if you are treated like crap when buying silver, they are just wondering when their next big roller is going to walk in and if you are wasting their time with 2% commission. I've been in this store location a few times, but made a first purchase with my boyfriend just this last weekend. I'm always concerned about being serviced because although I'm 21, apparently my Asian genes make me appear 17 at best. Despite looking like a loitering teen, I'm always greeted at the door and someone comes to my assistance within minutes. My boyfriend and I came in on a mission for a specific piece and a woman was attentive of it right away, allowing her to efficiently help him locate my birthday ring. My ring finger size is a 3.5, smaller than what they offer in the store.. so my purchase requires rings to be sized down and shipped to the store (free of cost). The last time we came in was around Christmas, but it turns out the ring was not available because Tiffany's is ridiculously busy around that time. Although it was clear we wouldn't buy anything because the ring wasn't available, a young saleswoman did a darned good job at helping us out and giving us tips for ordering in the future. After our purchase, I was surprised by an email my boyfriend got from the older lady who helped us in the store when we made our purchase. It was a thank you message with statements like 'I enjoyed meeting you and your girlfriend on Saturday' or 'the ring is one of our most popular ones.. I know she will receive many compliments for it'. I was impressed by the details she retained during our short visit. Will definitely continue to shop here. read more

I have many of the sterling silver pieces from Tiffany's. I have metal allergies and have never reacted to Tiffany's metal. I've been to many Tiffany locations throughout the United States and the Edina, MN (my home state) is the WORST location ever. The customer service is horrible. I no longer shop at Tiffany's because of it. They under quoted me on a ring that I wanted so I said, I'll take it! (There was no price tag on the item I tried on) When they started ringing it up the sales lady said "oh, I was wrong on price, this ring is $$$, and my husband and I looked at each other and said "excuse me"? She told us the price and it was over double the price she said it was when I had tried it on and asked the price. Another employee came over and made the situation even worse by saying, "oh, the price she gave you originally is the price of a different ring". She brought it over and said we could get that one instead! It wasn't even close to the same style or ring. I left with nothing. They also charge you a ton of money for repairs and charge for cleanings. I've had the clasp on my sterling bracelet break twice in less than 2 years! I can't stand the store if the staff. My husband and I visited the Edina showroom this afternoon to pick out a birthday gift for our daughter and had the worst experience ever. The sales woman (Taylor) was incredibly rude and short with us from the moment we first interacted with her. She was very abrupt in answering any questions, almost cutting me off mid sentence, and even dissuaded us from purchasing the necklace we went in to buy saying -that "rarely sells". She was texting on her phone the entire time we were in the showroom and seemed perturbed that she had to unveil items from the case stating that she could only pull out two items at a time. We ended up leaving after about 10-15 minutes and will call the Chicago location for help or order online. For 25+ years, we've shopped at various Tiffany locations and every experience has been so positive, thankfully, otherwise I would hesitate to step foot in another Tiffany showroom again-after the treatment we received from Taylor. It's a real shame to have someone so unfriendly representing such an amazing brand. read more

I have purchased two diamond/sapphire rings from this store in the past five years. The first ring needed repair within two years as the stones were loose and ready to fall out. Now, one of the diamonds is cracked in half. With the second ring, which is less than one year old, a stone has fallen out. This ring was inspected by Tiffany staff just one month prior to the stone falling out, and I was told at that time everything was secure. When I spend thousands of dollars on a ring, I expect to be able to wear it and not have the stones fall out this quickly, especially when set in platinum. When I contacted the store regarding my concern on the current ring (which was purchased seven months ago) I was told stones can come loose at any time from being bumped. Interesting, since I have worn rings purchased elsewhere, and have never had a stone fall out of the ring. Yet when I purchased from Tiffany, I have one ring with loose stones within two years, and one ring with a lost stone in seven months? That seems more than coincidental. read more

Lovely jewelry of course. I have 3 pieces that my husband has purchased for me over the past few years. One is a silver bracelet that I've had about a year. I love it and wear it all the time, but it's been looking a little dirty, even after using a silver cleaning cloth. I was having dinner at the Galleria, so I thought I would stop quick to get it cleaned. Well, I was told to go to "guest services", where I was told that the cleaning would take 45 minutes and would cost $15. I was surprised, and then was told that the cleaning is done by some tumbling method. Whatever, I really didn't care how it was done, but I was very surprised that I was being charged a fee. I picked it up 45 minutes later and it was shiny and beautiful again. I was happy with the results; just shocked that they charged the fee. read more

Unhelpful staff - I had to inquire of specific items based on what I saw online versus being shown items after I described what I was looking for. My husband dropped a hint for them to keep a list of items I like so he could come back. Associate didn't respond, instead started name dropping the CEO of my company and the charity work they have crossed paths doing. Unless the CEO is in front both you and I at this very moment, I am not interested. I am in front of you. This would have been my first Tiffany purchase. We will be bringing our business elsewhere - both for this "small" purchase and when we spend $1000's. read more

I received a gift card from a friend and I ended up purchasing a bracelet worth less than the balance on my card. I called Tiffany's (Edina location) because I am not able to find the actual gift card but do have the receipt for my purchase which clearly states my balance. My thoughts are that the lady checking me out failed to return the card to me because it doesn't make sense that I have the receipt but not the actual card and I have looked everywhere for it. I spoke with Kelsey who placed me on hold to answer other calls. She then proceeded to let me know that unless I had the actual card in hand there is no way to redeem my balance. I asked if they would be able to look at the cameras from my transaction (receipt is time/date stamped) to confirm wether or not my gift card was handed back to me. She said "no", they do not check cameras for this situation. The best she could do was check the lost and found to see if there were any gift cards there and she would call me back in five mins. Half hour later I ended up calling back because of course Kelsey did not return my call. She was busy of course and did not find any gift cards in lost and found (obviously). Needless to say, I will never shop at this particular store again. I have a large balance on a gift card that I am afraid was never returned to me but they are not willing to assist a repeat customer. read more

My husband had given me a pair of earrings for our wedding and just two months later one had been lost. I sent the one earring in to the Tiffany's repair factory and they called me after three weeks and told me that the earring had been discontinued and I would have to try to work with the store. When I went in to the Edina Galleria location, the staff at the service desk were extremely helpful. Not only were they willing to work with me but the manager came out and gave me a very good price and congratulated me on the weeding. My boyfriend purchased a Elsa Peretti initial necklace online, it came with 16" chain which is too short. Spoke with Tiffany and Co in Edina multiple times and they were friendly and helpful and I went into the store. I didn't get greeted when I walked in and they didn't seem to excited to help me. I asked to try on 18" and 20" length necklace before bringing my necklace to service. Service was amazing. I worked with Andy Stevens and he was a perfect example of customer service. He asked my name and repeated it throughout helping me. He was fast and answered all my questions and I left confident. I also called the store shortly after just to ask a question and without me saying my name all I said was "I was just in there getting my necklace lengthened and he said, "Hi Jordan what's your questions?" I was in shock that he remembered. He was perfect and I would love to go back just to get his customer service. There was an older gentleman in the engagement ring section who was pretty helpful as well. The ladies in the back of the store seemed like they didn't like their job and stuck up.
