We chose Javier in the spring of 2018 to complete several concrete projects for us. We needed 2 back patios in colored, stamped concrete, our garage, a stamped, colored walkway, our driveway and an extended front porch. We chose Javier because he came recommended by a few people on Nextdoor, his bid was a few thousand less than others, and he was very friendly. There were problems with the workmanship at nearly every step of this project. The stamping was done poorly on one back patio and they tried to fix it by etching it. This ended up looking like weird calligraphy, and so they ended up tearing up a large portion of it and redoing it. In the winter, one of the back patios and our driveway started to crumble. Initially, we were very patient and understanding, and at first, Javier was accommodating. The problem came when Javier decided to try an overlay to fix our crumbling driveway, rather than tear it up and pour new concrete. He promised that if this didn't work, he would tear up the driveway and pour new concrete. The overlay ended up looking very strange like permanently wet concrete-and you could see all the crumbles underneath. When Javier texted me saying he was at our house to fix the driveway, we were under the impression that he would tear up the driveway and pour new concrete- but instead he put down a stain--without our permission. The "stain" really is paint and looks absolutely awful. In addition to being bumpy because it wasn't sanded down, the color is strange, and the workmanship is very poor. They didn't even tape off the driveway, so when we got home we drove onto it--so now it also has tire marks. In the photo you can see how horrible it looks. It was at this point that Javier ghosted us. He hasn't returned any of our texts, calls or emails in the past two weeks. We are obviously very upset, frustrated and disappointed. So much for choosing the "nice guy" and I guess you get what you pay for.

Regardless, we got a quote from him that was reasonable and included a neighborhood discount (as the other neighbor hired him as well). We had a full driveway tear out and replacement, side slab along our house to the backyard, and patterned gray sections added throughout the pour areas. Javier and team did a good job of preparing the area, including rock and stump removal, removal and re-adding of a side fence and gate section, and even took some of our random concrete trash items that had been left by the prior homeowner. The work was done overall in the timeline promised with a few touch up items required the week following (to allow time to cure). Overall, we were pleased in working with Javier, as he was extremely patient with all of our questions and even some minor changes along the way.

Got two other quotes, and while Condor wasn't the least expensive, they were the most professional. The day before, Sergio confirmed their arrival...the crew arrived 10 minutes early and got to work. Was a full day project, and they kept me up to date and left the place amazingly clean with how much was chipped and hauled away. The new walkway is so much smoother and drains better for rain/snow. Highly recommend!

Florencio was very responsive from the get go. He gave me an extremely reasonable quote within a week or so of me reaching out. Overall our renovation project took about 2 months (that was for 2 total bathroom remodels plus taking out an entire wall, a new bedroom floor, and a kitchen backsplash). We took a 2 week hiatus for Christmas and new years and we only allowed one bathroom to be worked on at a time so we weren't without a shower or toilet. Our countertop install was referred out to a different contractor, and we didn't love that experience but that wasn't Florencio's fault at that point. We were responsible for buying all material (it's not included in his quote) but I preferred that. I felt like there was more transparency because I knew exactly where my money was going. We were able to get a much higher quality renovation for the price than we would've with the other companies we reached out to. Anything Florencio's workers had to buy for us was reflected and added to the quote. Otherwise we just paid for the labor. He charges as he goes (we paid a deposit and then paid per room basically). Our best experiences were with Greg doing tile and Raul doing plumbing. Also, his demo and flooring team worked super fast and were as well. We would definitely use Florencio again for home projects! While the workers show up at different times during the day, Florencio always responded very quickly to me when I asked him who was showing up and when. We love all the new work and our house feels brand new thanks to Florencio and his team!

I hired them to re-attach a wood railing to a second-story Trex deck, and they did a good job. I…read moreasked them specifically to attach it in such a way that it did not puncture the roofing, and they were careful to attach it at many points to the Trex without going all the way down to the roof. Before I got to Rodriguez Remodeling, I had contacted directly several other contractors, all of whom either replied that they don't do that kind of work or did not reply at all. Then I tried the Yelp "Request a Quote" feature for a likely contractor (who replied that they do not do that kind of work) but got a response in a few hours from Rodriguez Remodeling. The Request a Quote feature has an option to send your job description to competing contractors as well as the one you are looking at. I've tried this feature a couple of times and it has worked well. The owner, Florencio Rodriguez, came out the next day to inspect the job and sent me a quote a week later. After some negotiation I gave him the go-ahead, and he sent one of his worker out the same day to do the work. So overall I had a very good experience with this contractor. Their only drawback is that they seem very expensive. They charged me about $2,900 for the job, which took one person less than a day and a little bit of materials, which seems very high. On the other hand, I had been trying for several months to get the work done, so I was relieved to have it completed and done so well.

The work was done quickly and efficiently even in this summer's blistering heat. In just three days, the yard went from dirt to beautiful, tiered flagstone walls. The quality of this team's work is excellent. Sergio, the owner, provided a complete written quote that outlined the pertinent details and was supported with AI generated images of the "after" look, which confirmed that we were on the same page regarding the design. Once underway, the job progressed quickly and smoothly. (We're doing the planting, which is in progress.) Would we turn the SRG Hardscaping again should we need stone or brick work in the future? Absolutely.

SRG removed and replaced our garage slab (smooth finish), as well as our entire front porch, patio…read moreand a sidewalk in front of the driveway (all stamped concrete). Both had been damaged by long term soil settlement and an unfortunately aggressive tree root. The interior garage slab process went extremely well with no issues. They were able to remove the tree root, re-prep the substrate and pour a new slab that slopes to the door so water from wet vehicles will drain. The exterior porch was a bit more of a challenge. We had experienced significant settlement of the soil against the house due to improper backfill and compaction during the original construction. SRG excavation down approx. 6' and removed all of the bad soil and backfilled with road base and recycled concrete while compacting in lifts. Once this was complete, they prepped and poured and new front porch, patio and sidewalk in front of the garage/driveway. Unfortunately the concrete pour did not go according to plan. The concrete material was not per specification (we think it had flyash in it from the plant). This made the concrete material sticky and difficult to place and stamp. After 24 hours of cure time, we noticed that the surface of the concrete was starting to develop many small hairline cracks (plastic shrinkage cracks) throughout the surface of the concrete. After multiple discussions with SRG, and Sergio's subsequent discussions with the concrete supplier, I made the decision to have all of the stamped patio removed and re-poured. Sergio at SRG displayed his business integrity by agreeing to perform this re-work at no additional cost to me, while also being told by the concrete supplier that they took no responsibility for the issue. SRG returned approx. 3 weeks after the initial pour, removed all of the stamped concrete, and re-poured the entire porch, patio and sidewalk in a weekend. Again, at no additional cost to me for the issue. Although our project didn't go exactly as planned, I would still recommend SRG for your project as they acted with a high level of business integrity and did what was necessary to provide the client with a great finished product.

We had a major landscaping project done last spring. we paid a lot of money for the project (30k)…read more which included, among other things, rock landscaping, creating planting berms with soil, building a 15x5 stone raised planter box that required a huge amount of soil to fill. A drip irrigation system was installed to all the newly created planting areas. Come to find out, the drip system was never hooked up to the manifold, and no emitters were installed , so it is totally worthless. The soil they installed was not planting soil but some crappy heavy clay soil so now after spending a very large amount of money and labor on plants and shrubs, everything is dying/died. It's going to cost us thousands of dollars and extensive labor to fix the drip system, replace all the soil, and replace all of the plants and shrubs. BEWARE! I have tried to contact them but I don't think they are even in business anymore?

Correction from last night as I did want to ensure my comment was accurate:…read more I can't recommend. I had this company come out in 2021 and pour a stamped patio, and in 2023 I had them pour a stamped walkway from the front drive to the back patio. For both installs, the owner assured me that his team would move my sprinkler heads and irrigation lines as needed. The first time I even offered and was 100% willing to get my sprinkler guy out to do it between excavation and pour. Again, the owner assured me all was good. Now I have a major leak under one of those pours which was my first indication that (a) the lines were not moved just extended, and (b) most egregious, that at least some of the material used to extend the lines was in fact not meant for irrigation. BTW, I live less than five miles from at least 3 different businesses who sell what should have been used, so I can't think of a valid reason to use something else. The leak is way under one of the slabs and it's going to be time-consuming and complicated to either dig, find, and fix it, or to reroute that zone altogether. I used to rant and rave about what a great experience I had with Cordova, but I can't in good conscience continue to do so. This was a major error that is now going to cost me dearly to rectify. Update: The owner attempted to call me twice after 8:30 p.m. last night (Saturday) after I posted my honest review to several platforms. This morning I woke up to another call and now texts. The texts were simply denials of wrongdoing and not an offer of remediation, which I honestly up to that point still hoped for.

I have a paver system patio on my 2nd and 4th floor…read more The top floor had issues with the tiles becoming loose and unhinged from the system, moving around and popping off the frame when any weight was put on them. The second floor had an issue where the water seemed to pool after snow and rain, I was concerned the water was potentially leaking into the wood and framing of my home. For over 2 years I have tried to get someone to repair these issues. Many places did not even want to come look at my place unless I was going to install a completely new patio, which was not necessary. Others stated they wouldn't even bother to look at my place unless the job was for thousands and thousands of dollars. I have had numerous people come over, talk about doing the work, and then not follow up, return a phone call, or ever perform the job. Geovanny and Denver Patios and Landscape were the complete opposite. They communicated well, stayed on top of everything and performed high quality work. After they gathered the parts, they fixed everything. The condition on my second floor was worse than I thought, the patio had a negative slope towards my home, so not only was the water pooling, it was pooling at the frame connected to my home. This could have caused slow, but very bad damage over time. They fixed everything. I can't recommend them enough.
