The materials used were clearly superior quality; the pickets were all straight and just gorgeous! Roman followed up immediately upon completion to make sure all was to my satisfaction. Hugh, Mike and team corrected the slope of my side yard, adding compacted soil and new gravel to correct the drainage. They filled in a low spot caused by tree growth in the back yard. Most complicated was a paver patio that had subsided in crazy ways. The back stoop had tilted away from the house and was funneling water into a void right against the foundation. The other companies I contacted fell into four categories: bid a complicated solution at double the price; submitted a two-sentence bid with zero detail; took one look and turned down the work; or ghosted me entirely. What sold me on Grade A was how well they explained what I needed and listened to my concerns. Instead of a buried French drain, they recommended surface solutions (grading, correctly aimed downspouts, splash blocks and gutter guards) so in the coming years, we can verify they're still carrying water away from the house as designed. Grade A bid a fair price, showed up on schedule, communicated every day about progress and field changes, and went out of their way to create a solution that solves the problem -- and find the right materials that let us reuse the existing pavers. I knew in advance the price was subject to change depending on what they found under the stoop. What they found was actually a nightmare but the price adjustment was lower than I expected. Bottom line: drainage problems fixed, yard and patio look great. The crew was friendly, courteous and hard-working. Highly recommend.

In addition to the work a few things that stood out: - Hugh was incredibly easy to work with and honest. If there were changes that needed to happen we'd discuss it and he'd give an updated quote. The update was never absurd and made it so we focused on the job not haggling or worrying. - Grade A was one of the few companies I worked with where the owner seemed connected to all the employees. Hugh introduced them all, seemed to look out for them and acted like a team. They were all really cool in return. All in all for the job well done, ease of working with and great business practices I think working with Grade A is an easy decision and I've already recommended them to some neighbors.

We had a major landscaping project done last spring. we paid a lot of money for the project (30k)…read more which included, among other things, rock landscaping, creating planting berms with soil, building a 15x5 stone raised planter box that required a huge amount of soil to fill. A drip irrigation system was installed to all the newly created planting areas. Come to find out, the drip system was never hooked up to the manifold, and no emitters were installed , so it is totally worthless. The soil they installed was not planting soil but some crappy heavy clay soil so now after spending a very large amount of money and labor on plants and shrubs, everything is dying/died. It's going to cost us thousands of dollars and extensive labor to fix the drip system, replace all the soil, and replace all of the plants and shrubs. BEWARE! I have tried to contact them but I don't think they are even in business anymore?

We chose Javier in the spring of 2018 to complete several concrete projects for us. We needed 2 back patios in colored, stamped concrete, our garage, a stamped, colored walkway, our driveway and an extended front porch. We chose Javier because he came recommended by a few people on Nextdoor, his bid was a few thousand less than others, and he was very friendly. There were problems with the workmanship at nearly every step of this project. The stamping was done poorly on one back patio and they tried to fix it by etching it. This ended up looking like weird calligraphy, and so they ended up tearing up a large portion of it and redoing it. In the winter, one of the back patios and our driveway started to crumble. Initially, we were very patient and understanding, and at first, Javier was accommodating. The problem came when Javier decided to try an overlay to fix our crumbling driveway, rather than tear it up and pour new concrete. He promised that if this didn't work, he would tear up the driveway and pour new concrete. The overlay ended up looking very strange like permanently wet concrete-and you could see all the crumbles underneath. When Javier texted me saying he was at our house to fix the driveway, we were under the impression that he would tear up the driveway and pour new concrete- but instead he put down a stain--without our permission. The "stain" really is paint and looks absolutely awful. In addition to being bumpy because it wasn't sanded down, the color is strange, and the workmanship is very poor. They didn't even tape off the driveway, so when we got home we drove onto it--so now it also has tire marks. In the photo you can see how horrible it looks. It was at this point that Javier ghosted us. He hasn't returned any of our texts, calls or emails in the past two weeks. We are obviously very upset, frustrated and disappointed. So much for choosing the "nice guy" and I guess you get what you pay for.

Regardless, we got a quote from him that was reasonable and included a neighborhood discount (as the other neighbor hired him as well). We had a full driveway tear out and replacement, side slab along our house to the backyard, and patterned gray sections added throughout the pour areas. Javier and team did a good job of preparing the area, including rock and stump removal, removal and re-adding of a side fence and gate section, and even took some of our random concrete trash items that had been left by the prior homeowner. The work was done overall in the timeline promised with a few touch up items required the week following (to allow time to cure). Overall, we were pleased in working with Javier, as he was extremely patient with all of our questions and even some minor changes along the way.

TruBlue arrived on time, power sanded, sealed the cracks in the wood, primed the wood trim, painted, and sealed with caulk the base of the trim so that it wouldn't recur. Cleanup from this dusty job was excellent. The second job was cutting away water damaged fiberboard that was used as trim around my garage door which had suffered similar damage. That was replaced with a synthetic material (so that water wouldn't damage it again), primed, sealed at the join between fiberboard and new board, and painted. The seam isn't visible until I'm within a few feet. I'll be using them again for some interior flooring work that wasn't performed to code.

We're so happy with the job they did that we're calling again to get a bid for a multi level retaining wall and landscaping. We initially got their number from the Dave Logan booklet of approved companies. Nancy Ortiz, one of the owners, came here and patiently listened to us fumble around with what we really wanted done. She gave us great ideas and suggestions and when she worked up the bid, it was broken down so we could determine our plan based on our budget. When the crew showed up (on the promised date!), Nancy was here to introduce them and they went to work. The crew supervisor was organized and understood the project plan and was here everyday working alongside the crew. They were very helpful and friendly throughout the project. They kept the site clean and orderly, especially when they quit for the day. Nancy contacted us often and also stopped by to make sure it was going well. We made a few changes and she rolled with them without complaint. They required a small amount down (compared to the total) to purchase the initial supplies/materials, then at 50% complete we paid half of the total, and the last half at completion.
