This is an interesting location from the past that the university has turned into a nice side attraction on campus.
Once you enter the campus, the signage is pretty clear about how to get there. It's not 100% the location that Google Maps brings you to but it will get you close and then you can look at the signs.
When you walk in, there is a staff member there. I told her I was there to see the theater. She pointed me to it and said I was welcome to walk around. They have added a few other things to see, besides the theater.
The theater itself is pretty interesting. When they restored it, they painted the walls to appear as if they have dimension. I walked up to the top and sat in different seats. People must have been tall in the past in Berlin because if something were happening in the center, I wouldn't have seen it.
The side rooms had art exhibits. Those were fine.
On the ground floor, you can go into the room underneath the theater. There is a model that shows how the animal corpse was raised via a platform from underneath. After seeing that, I went back upstairs to see the circular platform in the floor. It was there!
There is also a one off bathroom on the ground floor, past more exhibits. The signs pointing to the bathroom are also clear.
I recommend seeing this piece of the past that the university has chosen to preserve. read more
