After years, they had reached the point of tearing into the quick & stayed raw. I was not only embarrassed but uncomfortable Then, about 10 weeks ago, I heard about something called a "dip" offered at Nails 2000. I rushed in, barely daring to hope. I met the lovely & very knowledgeable Kiana, who explained the dip to me & I decided to try. While my nails looked beautiful when she was finished, I had been disappointed so many times that I was reserving judgement. 3 weeks later, I returned to Kiana, very impressed but could it really be true? So, again I left with nails that look so good that perfect strangers have actually complimented me!! The dip usually lasts me 3 weeks, & I try to get Kiana each time because she not only does a great job but is simply a great woman to visit with! Her parents are always working there too and I'm sure they do great nails as I have friends that go to them and adore them! Their salon is clean (including the restroom!), the atmosphere welcoming, and the prices reasonable...especially for the fantastic work they do. The dip won't cure my nail problems but it allows them to grow to a nice length, look very good, & most importantly, protect my fingertips! I can't tell you how glad I am to have discovered Kiana and her family! I am sure there is no better nail salon within 50 miles regardless of what they would charge!!

I asked for a gel manicure. The guy didn't even cut my cuticles, soak my nails or anything. Not to mention he wasn't paying attention when he was filing my nails down with the machine and cut my finger, and pretended like I didn't see the blood. If you don't want business just say that. I wish I went somewhere else and instantly regretted this.

For one mani/pedi the end result was average but resulted in quick chipping - even for my toes which are typically easy to maintain. My last visit was more awkward with me being greeted and asked to not sign in, but to maybe come back later. The option to wait wasn't offered and the suggested return time was a guess, not a confirmation of a time. After leaving I remembered that I'd seen this happened to others while I was in the chair getting my nails done. It has discouraged me from recommending this salon because I wouldn't want people to have the same experience. I'm updating my review while sitting at another salon. 20/100 - 2018 Yelp Review Challenge…read more Waayyyyy better! THE GOOD : A friend recommended me to this place, she's a regular and I have to say I am in love. It's close to work, it's totally affordable, its clean, and the staff is friendly! There were two technicians working, one lady was older than the other and I'm pretty sure she was the owner. My mom got her, and I got the other lady (sorry, I don't know her name ). My lady didn't talk much, which I like. I've always hated going to nail salons and making small talk. My technician was very thorough and clean. She paid very close attention to details. Compared to my last nail experience these were impeccable. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo before they started growing out. But I've had them for over a week now, and the only chip I have is from where my already torn nail when I received the service ripped all the way off. I knew this would happen. I got a pedicure, and a gel manicure and it was $55 in total, which I think was pretty reasonable. Especially because of all the amenities that came with the manicure. THE BAD - The bad really isn't even that bad, but I'm sort of a germaphobe. One part of the manicure I didn't like was the paraffin wax dip. It was cool because I have never had one at a nail place before, but it's also very unsanitary. It know I could have opt'd out (and I should have for time reasons) but I didn't think about it until after my first dip lol. OVERALL - I think I have found my new nail place, but I won't be doing the paraffin wax.

I stopped in because my new gel nails were giving me fits - the original shop put them on too thickly, and they lifted, and the second salon's fill-in work was lifting as well, plus it looked awful. Kevin, the owner, did my nails flawlessly. He's been doing this for years, and is a real professional. He carefully sanded down the old gel, to the point where he was able to lift off a couple failing gels without pain. I got new gels all around, with nice handpainted white tips, the real deal UV cured finish that hardens immediately. My nails look great. He only charged me for a regular fill. The atmosphere of the shop is comfortable and friendly. Classical music, pink walls, no fancy check in or waiting area, no wine. Perfect. The staff all seem happy and so do the customers. It's a relaxing, comfortable, homey place where you can get fantastic nails at chop-shop prices. I think I'll go back for a pedicure when it's time for a fill. They can get busy, so you might want to call ahead.

I originally asked for a glitter ombré but it turned out nothing like I had planned. It was very clumpy, splotchy, and not what i was looking for so I asked him to redo it. I felt bad but I was not going to pay for something that looked like that. The final product was just super thick, uneven, and you could still see the glitter underneath the layers of nail polish. Not only that but the employee was very disrespectful and gave me attitude when I asked him to redo it. Since I am the one paying for the service, I feel as though the way he acted about the whole situation was unprofessional. Due to the poor job on his part and attitude, I will not be coming back to this salon.
