George at TIdy Turf has reliably cleaned up after my dog in both the front and back large yard for many years until my dog passed in April 2026. I highly recommend his services. Not only did George do an excellent job no matter what the weather was, he is also a extremely professional, kind and thoughtful.person. read more

GEORGE IS AWESOME! He's extremely nice, very efficient, and did a great job on my backyard. His price was very reasonable, and I would not hesitate to hire him again. Thanks a million, George! read more

Reliable, reasonable. Very grateful for this sustainable service to keep our complex free from dog waste. George is great.

George is incredibly reliable and responsive and very good with our dog. He's also a very nice person.

George is a great person always with a smile on his face. He shows up on time and a real professional. He has been helping me out for almost 2 years and it has been a great help. read more

This service is so fantastic! George, the power is a fantastic human and is not just liked by his human clients... he has Dog approved. I think we all know our Dog's opinion is the ultimate endorsement. He is dependable., pays attention to detail, and does a fantastic job of leaving your lawn or yard clean. I highly recommend Tiddy Turf and George in particular !! read more

It's been 10 years working with George now. Still every bit as great as ever. We have a new yard, with a new set of neighbors, with new little kids and new little kid parties. I'm just glad I still don't have to worry about what they're smelling from our yard. read more

George is awesome!!! Easy going, nice and the pups love him! Such a great service and he makes life with 3 dogs much easier about having to clean up after them with such a large yard :) Thanks George!!! read more

I have had the pleasure of knowing George and using his company Tidy Turf for over 20 years!! The only reason I recently stopped using him is my husband is retired and can pick up the poop himself. George is the most reliable company I've ever used. If it's Wednesday, you can count on George to be there. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would!! My dogs love him. I will miss you George, but I know I can always call you again. Thanks for all the great service. read more

So you got a new dog(s), you're going to walk it every day and pick up its poop everyday, who would pay someone to do this, its no big deal you think, but then....you dont always get the walk in, and you don't always pick up the poop and next thing you know you are greeted by foul smells each time you walk thru your yard, which you ignore "gotta pick up the yard tomorrow", but then you don't until one day you step on one of those little piles cursing your dog and this thankless chore that will never end. Plus you spend an hour de-funking your running shoe which has so many, many crevices that you contemplate throwing it out. This is when you call George, who like a stealth ninja (as referred in other reviews) cleans your yard of any dog doo - he finds it no matter where its hidden! So save your running shoes, save your yard - George to the rescue! He is money well spent! read more

He was working at a neighbors house and fit me right in after. Just after talking to him

Great guy Great prices! 4 dogs make a big mess and it was so nice to come home to clean yard!

Tidy Turf is a great company! George is reliable, does a thorough job and is always a pleasure to interact with. My dog loves him too!! I can't recommend this company highly enough! We've been using them for over 3 years and have never had a complaint. :-) read more

George has been fantastic and always did a great job cleaning up the dog waste once a week. He is reliable and consistent. He would even bring treats for the dogs and fill up their water bowls. I would recommend him highly if you are looking for someone to tidy up the yard. read more

I've been a client of Tidy Turf and George's since 2007. The pricing is reasonable and George has been absolutely reliable. I don't think he's ever missed a week due to illness. George has been friendly, engaging and able to accommodate my schedule with me, but more to the point, my dogs adore him! They run for the doggie door as soon as they hear him! He takes the time to pet them and then returns to his work. I can't recommend Tidy Turf highly enough. read more

I hired George so long ago, I can't even tell you the year, then I canceled the service, and re hired him about three years ago due to my health problems. He's on time every week, very friendly, personable, and caring. When my son died last year, he showed up to clean the yard, and I was so distraught, I'd forgotten to pay him, then one of my sons friends said "The man said don't worry about paying for this week" - who does that? Not many people, that's for sure. He always brings a holiday card and cookies for my dogs, they HATE him, but I LOVE his service!!! I highly recommend Tidy Turf. HOWEVER ... he's not been here for two weeks, so, I'm a bit concerned, so if anyone knows what's going on, let me know - I did leave a message, and know he and his wife were going on vacation, but I thought it was only for one week. Hoping all is well. read more

Tidy Turf was a game changer for our family when we moved to Marin in 2013. With 3 kids and 2 dogs, we just couldn't keep up with the yard cleaning. Fast forward 7 years and George has been a key part of keeping our property looking (and smelling!) fresh at an unbelievably reasonable cost. He is reliable, honest, and hard working and has always shown a genuine interest in our pugs . . . we had 2 when we moved to Marin, rescued a 3rd, lost our 1st, and moved away with 2. I only wish we could have brought George with us to Texas! read more

George has been wonderful! He always gets in and gets the job done fast and efficiently, without us even knowing he was even there because he's so quiet! His rates are very reasonable and I would 100% recommend him to anyone who is looking for a pet waste removal service. Not to mention he is just an overall stand up guy with great communication skills and we appreciate him! Definitely go with Tidy Turf people! read more

Cheaper than a marriage counselor! We always used to bicker over who would clean-up the yard. With two dogs, it would get delayed and become this daunting task. Then it would turn into "avoid the minefield" in the back yard. And THEN I found George and Tidy Turf! Every week, rain or shine, the yard is cleaned. Even those "hidden" spots that the pups love to do their business in. I STRONGLY recommend Tidy Turf! Make your life EASIER! WELL worth the small price to pay for harmony with your significant other (and a cleaner yard). read more

George is awesome. He is reliable and professional and a really nice guy. I would and do recommend him to everyone. Thanks Geroge.

We've used Tidy Turf now for over two years and the service is fantastic! Tidy Turf comes to our house twice a week and completely took care of pet cleanup. After our property was serviced there would be no evidence we have dogs in our yard. George goes the extra mile to make sure all is well! If you're looking for someone to pick up where your dog leaves off - Tidy Turf is the way to go! read more

Great service. He comes consistently, always cleans up the entire area, and is a pleasure to work with.

OK, maybe I shouldn't go public with this, but I haven't scooped my dog's poop in about a year. Yet, my big yard and lawn is still child-friendly and open for guests to hang out without danger, because Tidy Turf has been scooping for me! George is terrific - friendly, professional, great with dogs and as reliable as a Swiss train. I wish everyone I paid to do services for me was more like him. Would be off-the-charts perfect if he used PayPal or some other online billing system, but that is just a nit. Totally worth the price. read more

Well... here is an update I hate to write. I had to cancel the services of Tidy Turf yesterday due to Max passing away. I made a very emotional phone call last night and let George know what had happened. I asked if he could come one more time to do a last clean up and I would pay whatever he wanted.. He showed up today... and went about his cleaning. He gave us a bill like her normally would. He bills monthly and there was no way he said he would charge us for today. He was caring and considerate. I think what I really liked the best about George and his business is he was so good at making sure all messes were cleaned, patio washed down every time he visited which was twice a week. Mess removed and nothing was ever missed. He would normally just leave the bill at the front door with a treat for Max each time. Maybe I was lazy, but I didn't like cleaning up dog poop.... and the stress it would cause in my relationship with my mother wasn't worth it for us because I would ignore it as long as possible. Once George came into our lives we were much happier. For us the cost was $104 a month for 2 times a week. So worth it. I hope you give him a try. I think you will be very pleased. read more

I have two dogs and two cats that are free to roam out in my yard and front garden anytime they want. But I simply don't have the time to go out there and search for where they each last anointed the grounds.. So my dog walker suggested I use George. What a great idea that was. I've been so happy with George's service. And, I think I've been using his services now for almost 2 years. George is great and never misses the weekly scheduled Wednesdays, unless he's scheduled a vacation. He's such a nice guy too. I feel confident that my grounds outside are clean. And George even comes prepared with doggie biscuits for when my dogs give him a hard time. This is a very professional service and a very necessary one for my household. I'm so glad I hired him and would highly recommend him to anyone out there in need of his services. read more

George has worked for us for the past 3 years. He has been such huge help with his service! George has shown up on days where I wouldn't have expected someone to, during heavy rain, smokey fire days, a day when our street was being paved and he had to walk a few blocks from where he was able to park. He is thorough with his work and always has treats for the dogs and makes sure they have fresh water. I would recommend George to everyone. Thank you!!! read more

George is a nice and friendly guy. Knows dogs and how to act around different behaving dogs. I had a slumber party that lasted over a week with my dog and puppy plus 2 other huge dogs. I called to see if George could come the same day. I was in luck he was 10 mins away. He came in, met my dog and puppy. They both loved him (the puppy was a little shy and didn't know what to think about his poop removal outfit). Give him a go! BTW - he services Sonoma, Marin, and San Francisco. read more

George is great. The yard is always thoroughly cleaned, the dogs like him, and he's a nice guy. His prices are reasonable and honestly this is one of the best services in my view for pet owners who want to save a little time on yard cleanup. Leaves more time for walks and fetch. I highly recommend tidy turf. read more

Is it weird that this is my second review that involves dog poop???? Anyhow.... I'm not going to think too deeply about that and move on. I've got a 60 pound pit, and she poops, a lot. I mean, she eats twice a day but poops four times! How is that even possible?! I also have a yard where the weeds like to grow wild.... like you whack them one day, and the next day, they're a foot tall. Sometimes, I don't have it in me to take my dog for a walk.... last three weeks especially have been rough since I've been knocked out by the plague that's been going around. So I'd let her go poop in the yard. Yay for me.... boo for my poor neighbors that would like to enjoy the yard as well. So, I called George from Tidy Turf to come to the rescue. Less than an hour and a very reasonable fee later, George had the yard poop-free, and even offered to come back the following week to make sure no spots had been missed since he guarantees his work! And for those that actually can't pick up poop in their own yards on a permanent basis, George will come out weekly, and if you have 1-2 dogs will charge just $15 to do a weekly cleaning. Most of all though, for a guy that has to literally handle shit all day, he's remarkably pleasant! I mean, he just sort of exudes a "good guy vibe" that you just can't pinpoint. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat and if I ever have something happen again where I can't pick up the poo for weeks at a time (like this plague I'm getting over), I know exactly who to call! Thanks George!!! read more

George is the best. He takes care of our yards at home and at work. He has reasonable prices and is totally reliable. I don't know what we'd do without him and our hillside, large yard. Our three dogs make quite a mess, and they love to visit with George every Wednesday. Our office was unoccupied for a year before we bought it, so the neighbors decided to walk their dogs there and not pick up the poop. It was a horrible mess when we moved in, and our wonderful neighbors are not trainable - they still use our yard as a dog park. Actually, people who go to dog parks tend to be responsible and pick up the poop. The solution? Call George and don't think about it anymore. It's great to not have to chase after our neighbors every time they walk their dogs on our property.... read more

Love this service! George has been taking care of cleaning up our backyard every week for 14 years. Tidy Turf has been fantastic. We had a sick outdoor kitty that made going into the backyard an assault on the senses. George was very professional and thorough, and made the best of a bad situation. What would I do without George?? Pick up way too much dog poop, that's what. I tell all my friends that this is my personal splurge. Some people get cleaners, personal trainers, or chefs; I get a dog poop guy! He has been picking up after my two JR's once a week every week for a year now and my has also been picking up after my boyfriend's lab/great dane for the past few months too (sorry!!). He is reliable, great with the dogs, and invoices consistently. Comes and goes without a trace, thank goodness! I am ending my service since my now live in boyfriend is taking on the chore and I have to say, it was a hard phone call to make since his services have been superb. I would recommend him to anyone with pups who simply do not have the time, or desire, to deal with dog poop. read more
