So you got a new dog(s), you're going to walk it every day and pick up its poop everyday, who would pay someone to do this, its no big deal you think, but then....you dont always get the walk in, and you don't always pick up the poop and next thing you know you are greeted by foul smells each time you walk thru your yard, which you ignore "gotta pick up the yard tomorrow", but then you don't until one day you step on one of those little piles cursing your dog and this thankless chore that will never end. Plus you spend an hour de-funking your running shoe which has so many, many crevices that you contemplate throwing it out. I hired George so long ago, I can't even tell you the year, then I canceled the service, and re hired him about three years ago due to my health problems. He's on time every week, very friendly, personable, and caring. When my son died last year, he showed up to clean the yard, and I was so distraught, I'd forgotten to pay him, then one of my sons friends said "The man said don't worry about paying for this week" - who does that? Not many people, that's for sure. He always brings a holiday card and cookies for my dogs, they HATE him, but I LOVE his service!!! I highly recommend Tidy Turf. Yet, my big yard and lawn is still child-friendly and open for guests to hang out without danger, because Tidy Turf has been scooping for me! Well... here is an update I hate to write. I had to cancel the services of Tidy Turf yesterday due to Max passing away. I made a very emotional phone call last night and let George know what had happened. I asked if he could come one more time to do a last clean up and I would pay whatever he wanted.. He showed up today... and went about his cleaning. He gave us a bill like her normally would. He bills monthly and there was no way he said he would charge us for today. He was caring and considerate. I think what I really liked the best about George and his business is he was so good at making sure all messes were cleaned, patio washed down every time he visited which was twice a week. Mess removed and nothing was ever missed. He would normally just leave the bill at the front door with a treat for Max each time. Maybe I was lazy, but I didn't like cleaning up dog poop.... and the stress it would cause in my relationship with my mother wasn't worth it for us because I would ignore it as long as possible. Once George came into our lives we were much happier. For us the cost was $104 a month for 2 times a week. So worth it. I hope you give him a try. I think you will be very pleased. read more

I have two dogs and two cats that are free to roam out in my yard and front garden anytime they want. But I simply don't have the time to go out there and search for where they each last anointed the grounds.. So my dog walker suggested I use George. What a great idea that was. I've been so happy with George's service. And, I think I've been using his services now for almost 2 years. George is a nice and friendly guy. Knows dogs and how to act around different behaving dogs. I had a slumber party that lasted over a week with my dog and puppy plus 2 other huge dogs. I called to see if George could come the same day. I was in luck he was 10 mins away. He came in, met my dog and puppy. Is it weird that this is my second review that involves dog poop???? Anyhow.... I'm not going to think too deeply about that and move on. I've got a 60 pound pit, and she poops, a lot. I mean, she eats twice a day but poops four times! How is that even possible?! I also have a yard where the weeds like to grow wild.... like you whack them one day, and the next day, they're a foot tall. Sometimes, I don't have it in me to take my dog for a walk.... last three weeks especially have been rough since I've been knocked out by the plague that's been going around. So I'd let her go poop in the yard. Yay for me.... boo for my poor neighbors that would like to enjoy the yard as well. So, I called George from Tidy Turf to come to the rescue. Less than an hour and a very reasonable fee later, George had the yard poop-free, and even offered to come back the following week to make sure no spots had been missed since he guarantees his work! And for those that actually can't pick up poop in their own yards on a permanent basis, George will come out weekly, and if you have 1-2 dogs will charge just $15 to do a weekly cleaning. Most of all though, for a guy that has to literally handle shit all day, he's remarkably pleasant! I mean, he just sort of exudes a "good guy vibe" that you just can't pinpoint. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat and if I ever have something happen again where I can't pick up the poo for weeks at a time (like this plague I'm getting over), I know exactly who to call! George is the best. He takes care of our yards at home and at work. He has reasonable prices and is totally reliable. I don't know what we'd do without him and our hillside, large yard. Our three dogs make quite a mess, and they love to visit with George every Wednesday. Our office was unoccupied for a year before we bought it, so the neighbors decided to walk their dogs there and not pick up the poop. It was a horrible mess when we moved in, and our wonderful neighbors are not trainable - they still use our yard as a dog park. Actually, people who go to dog parks tend to be responsible and pick up the poop. The solution? Call George and don't think about it anymore. What would I do without George?? Pick up way too much dog poop, that's what. I tell all my friends that this is my personal splurge. Some people get cleaners, personal trainers, or chefs; I get a dog poop guy! He has been picking up after my two JR's once a week every week for a year now and my has also been picking up after my boyfriend's lab/great dane for the past few months too (sorry!!). He is reliable, great with the dogs, and invoices consistently. Comes and goes without a trace, thank goodness!
