We have been incredibly impressed with the teaching philosophy, and curriculum. The owner combines the community into her studies, and the kids gain exposure into multiple facets beyond a traditional kindergarten. To name a few the kids visit Prescott Park regularly, take part in ice skating lessons, attend music lessons at Seacoast Rep, and many other adventures. We are very satisfied with the care, attention to detail, cleanliness, and enthusiasm. Highly recommend!

It is a great, smaller school with a very hands on, play approach to learning. A few months later he started school and hasn't had a bad day yet! My shy son is now 3 months in and opening up, he is always talking about how much he loves his school and his teachers. Ms Kimberly is amazing with the 3 year olds, I feel that she had truly taken the time to get to know my son and ensured that he is social with the other kids. He also loves Ms Danielle and Ms Kristin, they all go above and beyond for him. The school is very clean and the play areas changes with each lesson plans so the kids never get bored. I also love that they go outside everyday, rain or shine! This is truly a gem in Portsmouth and my son has opened up and learned so much already. I definitely recommend checking out The Treehouse School for your little one!

I would strongly advise against enrolling your children here. If there are no alternatives, please keep the following in mind: - Always have a back up plan for childcare as they will cancel classes for the smallest amount of snow (2") and very frequently for " teacher development." - You will pay gratuitously for tuition even for the numerous weeks and holidays they are on vacation or the days they are not rendering child care. - Be sure to communicate exclusively in writing as there is NO dialogue between the administration and the educators; they might as well be separate entities. - Carefully read their policies as they will use any means to justify pilfering your deposit if you deviate from their terms whatsoever, even if common sense would indicate otherwise. It bears saying twice: I strongly recommend against conducting business with this daycare. Consider alternatives.

The school is not even Montessori and they use the name without educators. They don't seem to keep a Director for more than a couple of months. The owner is a business person who has no real compassion for children.

We've been sending our son to PCA since elementary school. We knew we wanted a strong academic…read moreprogram and the full breadth of extracurricular activities (sports, theater, etc.). And we wanted both of those things laid on a Christian foundation that upheld basic tenets of character formation. It was a challenge for us financially and geographically, but after trying it out that first year, it became clear that PCA was able to deliver on what we wanted, and more. Our son thrived academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. They quickly advanced him in the academic areas in which he demonstrated giftedness so that he continued to be challenged. Regular conversations around the importance of persisting (in the face of boredom, subject matter that's challenging, lack of personal interest), developing healthy habits of mind, flexible thinking and more contribute to a child's growth beyond the textbooks. Now in Junior High, we're seeing our son being given opportunities to lead and to serve. We appreciate being treated as partners with the teachers and administration in our son's education. The teachers, principal and head of school all make themselves available for conversations. And I love that the teachers reach out with recognition of "good stuff" our son is doing before contacting us about infractions. We love the setting of the school...open green space, beautiful river, small classroom sizes. Yes, we make sacrifices to send our son to PCA, but seeing first-hand the "product" they turn out makes it all worth it. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

The patient call bell rings long and often. Meaning, someone NEEDS something. Put down the book and do your job! They put on a very good act (yes Don you are a disgrace to nursing, you are a bully and a fake) however when you listen to the various observations from the staff regarding your loved one, that's when the lies come out. Many different stories emerge. Having spent hours each day here, you see the bad behavior and non-caring attitudes. Don is not the only offender. There is an overall indifference. The weekends bring on a whole new level of bad care. Its very clear they are not concerned with the basics, like helping your loved one to the bathroom and then leaving them there. Patient not cooperating, let's drug them up so they are less of a problem. Again,RUN don't walk away from this facility.
