A low pump, a higher pump if that first pump fails or cant keep up. And then a higher battery backup pump. I feel great knowing that my basement will stay dry no matter what. Mike Smith of the company inspected the issue proposed a fix that included a drainage system and sump pump. He also assured me that they could take care what ever issue they may find down there. His estimate was very reasonable. The work started when they said it would. WHAT A WEIGHT LIFTED FROM MY SHOULDERS. When the three man crew arrived and introduced themselves and the supervisor outlined what they would be doing and when they expected to complete the job. The supervisor, Efrain, and Salvador and Eddie gave me confidence I was in great hands. Now this is something you hardly ever hear anyone say anymore; but I have never seen three men work so hard and professionally as those three did. Efrain kept me totally abreast of the progress with before and after videos. I know I have restricted myself in the past to restaurant reviews as my wife and I are foodies. But I learned there are "artists" in other fields of work as well. Swain Co and their people are one class act as ND I would hghly recommend them for any crawl space, foundation or basement issues. As of the draft of this review, it has been less than one year since our system was purchased. This review has been posted after we have exhausted our options. We hired Erie Home Basement Solutions to abate mold in our crawlspace, encapsulate the floor and walls, and control the humidity. No part of the project met their proposed schedule. They claim the abatement was done, the smell is gone, and we can see the plastic they installed. As far as drying goes, no dehumidifier, so all summer the humidity in the crawlspace was 80-90%. It took 2 months for a representative to answer my calls (5) and has been another month with no proposal to fix the problem. When we finally got to talk to the service foreman, he claimed computer problems had stopped him receiving notifications. The service foreman finally came out and inspected the system. His proposal was to replace the fan unit with an improved design unit. The problem with the new unit is that monitoring and control are not available. Monitoring was the only way we knew there was a problem. He set up the original fan to run at maximum output and promised to propose installing a dehumidifier to the company. We communicated by text a few times then he stopped answering. All of this is started at about 7 months into our "Lifetime Warranty ". The mold seems to be gone, the floor & walls have been lined, but the crawlspace humidity is at or above atmospheric relative humidity. Beware of the sales tactics of this company & don't count on their warranty as real. We consulted another company to examine the work. Their estimate to do the same job was half of what we paid, and included a dehumidifier, because a dehumidifier is the design standard for our conditions. Part of our contract with EHBS was the assurance that we had "Lifetime Warranty" and that technical help was just a phone call away. Apparently, this was just HOKUM by a salesman who now, can't be found. UPDATE: Before posting this review, we continued trying to have EHBS respond. We finally got a texting chain with their field Supervisor, personable young man, but unable to get EHBS to provide the dehumidifier. After we purchased the dehumidifier ourselves, another $2000.00, EHBS agreed to install the dehumidifier at no cost and replace the fan for their system with the fan they originally proposed, no monitor and control. We had to provide monitor and control of the dehumidifier, another $150.00 added to the base price. Based on the response from EHBS, we consider their warranty to be in violation of the contract we signed. We will, if the need arises, attempt follow the procedures for warranty repairs and replacement. We have no idea how this company maintains their rating with the Better Business Bureau, considering our experience with EHBS. Erie Home is the EH, and BS is what we got.

We contacted Everdry after experiencing dampness in our home, musty smell, and white mold in our…read moremaster bath/closet. We were told these issues could be remedied by installing their full system in our crawlspace. We asked specifically about mold remediation and assured the white mold would die once moisture was cut off. Install went okay, I was a little surprised they left our walkway completely tore up and PVC piping uncovered and quite tacky coming from our crawlspace and gutters. Install was smooth and quick, workers were respectful. A year later, my husband went to our crawlspace and found a large open, unfinished portion of our crawlspace that opened to under our deck. Not once in their install was this mentioned to us. This compromised their system design for a "completely sealed" crawlspace. We had to hire our own contractor to seal the opening, then Everdry returned to "ensure" it was fully sealed. Yet, here we are, 29k and YEARS later and still dealing with the exact same issues we called about. Mold growth on downstairs vents, musty smell, and occasionally white mold growth on clothing. Everdry stopped annual inspections without notifying us. Our master bath ceiling is mildew prone now more than ever. They came out once more and informed us that all of the moisture issues were NOW due to our HVAC (new at the time of original Everdry install) and not the crawlspace. The inspector went to our crawlspace and said everything was working properly. They advised we buy multiple dehumidifiers, that our windows might need resealed, and out vents might be leaking. HVAC was inspected and no issue found. We had a contractor come and inspect our windows and they are not leaking. We are scheduled to have our ductwork cleaned and inspected this week. Everydry found a vent pipe they installed to run into our yard is blocked and scheduled to dig it out...2 months later. Ironically, after this inspection and an Everdry agent going to the crawlspace, our intake vent they installed runs with low fan-noise/motor that it NEVER made before. it had been completely silent since installation. One of 2 things has happened- either the Everdry system is in fact not working and is not able to decrease the moisture in our home OR they sold us a story to buy their product without properly diagnosing the issue in our home. The HVAC we have is the same as when they originally looked at our home. We currently have purchased additional humidifiers we have on our ground floor, registering constant humidity levels of 70+% in our home. This is with the Everdry system. At this point, we are hiring home inspection to come and identify where the issue lies. If I could go back, we would have just installed a sump pump, bought a home dehumidifier, and vapor sealed like we were originally instructed by contractors before Everdry came out. Lesson learned. I understand that moisture issues in a home can be multilayered and complicated. My disappointment is that when we were sold the system, we were given the expectation that this and this alone would remedy all the issues we had- and never once was our HVAC or any other possible culprit identified or mentioned. My advice- make sure they address your HVAC/windows/ductwork prior to selling you a system. Ask all the questions. Get multiple people in and second/third opinions because expecting the experts to actually do the footwork of ensuring your needs are met with the product they sell is asking too much.
