There was damage to the truck that leaked water and ruined our mattresses and chairs to our dining room. As we were explaining this to Cassie to let her know all she could say was that is not my issue that's a U-Haul issue. That's pretty terrible customer service then as we asked her why were we charge $50 for a cleaning fee? She said she found a shoe in the front metal pole in the back of the cab and a chair that we did not see that we left in there. She didn't bother to call to see if we even wanted it. She called and spoke with Austin yesterday to confirm. Not only did they not show up at 9 am, they did not call or return calls. Only texts from a brother making excuses. His brother and co-owner, Hunter blamed Austin and then FINALLY we got a call at 3 pm from Austin who said that they would make it right, also he was in Bay Minniette and that he would text his ETA. He asked if I had any gasoline to spare, explaining that his truck had run out of fuel and wouldn't start. Since I had a container of gas in my garage meant for lawn equipment, I decided to help him out. I didn't want his truck blocking our driveway and making it difficult for us to get our cars in and out. Three days went by with no communication from Austin--no phone call, text, or email regarding the quote. I even reached out a few times, inquiring if he had been able to provide it, but I received no response. It was frustrating to experience such unprofessionalism after what seemed like a straightforward process. Complete waste of time! Do better Freedom Movers!
