So far this place seems well managed. The few times I had an issue, the staff came to the rescue immediately. I bought the $19.99 monthly membership. My wife was thinking we might eventually cancel the monthly renewal, but I'm reconsidering this now that I've started making use of their vacuums. The interior of our minivan is cleaner than it's ever been - which says a lot since we have a bunch of small kids. This saves me from having to drag our home vacuum out to the garage each month. Plus, the kids absolutely love going through the car wash. I've told my wife that the $20.00 monthly expense is 50% automotive budget and 50% family entertainment. This seemed to resonate with her since she's addicted to Dave Ramsey. "Every dollar has a name!" Sigh. Beware of Manager Brandon! Yesterday, as I was entering the car wash; one of the men broke my Infiniti emblem when scrubbing the front. One of the gentlemen, (who I later found out was the manager)first alerted me the emblem broke and he would try to repair. After 5 min and a long line, he brought the emblem to me stating it was broken before I got there. I knew then something was up; it wasn't broke before I arrived. When I got through the wash, I parked in a stall and quickly realized the emblem was in fact broke in a way that it is impossible for it to have been previously broken; both clips were gone. I then asked for a manager to make an incident report. The manager Brandon then walked up defensively, stating the company would not pay for it because it was previously broken. I advised him that the cameras will confirm all information and to please initiate an incident report. Brandon gave me the hardest time, rude and condescending. Even asked for my personal address!!! Then walked off without saying anything. I waited for at least 15 more minutes and he refused to give me a copy or an acknowledgement of the report. I had to record a video to ensure the validity of the claim. I am quite shocked that he was choose to represent Tidal Wave. Lacked empathy and general customer service. Will not be back to this location until this is rectified. UPDATE!!! Brandon called me back stating the video shows my emblem was upside down when entering the car wash, so they will not repair it. Mr Brandon, regardless of the position of the emblem (which is hard to believe was upside down), it was connected to MY VEHICLE PRIOR TO COMING TO TIDAL WAVE. I'm shocked that corporate would allow the same rude and condescending man to be the one to resolve this issue??? Come on folks.../. read more

This business has feel off so bad from the beginning its ridiculous and this is coming from a day 1 customer! Here it is years later since they have opened and I just totally had to cancel all my vehicles because of absolutely pathetic poor crappy customer service! I've traveled and use TWCW's around the U.S. and RAYTOWN 350HWY is by far the worst in MO if not the entire U.S.!!! Ur not supposed to drive thru a relaxing car wash and be upset afterwards because of angry ADULT workers who hate theirs jobs but work there anyway by choice or your car was damaged by under-maintained equipment(which both have occurred)!!! Vehicle damaged- no accountability! I've been a monthly member at Total Waves Car Wash in Raytown, but after this experience I will not be returning.   On 12/17/25, I went through the car wash as instructed, with my truck in neutral while being moved by their conveyor system. During the wash, my truck was pushed into the car in front of me, and then the car behind me was pushed into the rear of my truck. My vehicle was hit both front and back, resulting in damage, including to the front license plate holder.   From what I observed, the cars were spaced far too closely together. Two cars ahead appeared to have hit their brakes and gone over the roller, which caused a chain reaction where each vehicle was pushed into the one in front of it. Because the cars were under the control of the car wash system, drivers had little to no ability to avoid the collisions.   The manager did create a damage report and reviewed the video, but ultimately claimed the wash was not responsible, stating that a driver hit their brakes and that I should pursue that driver for compensation. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering that once your car is on the conveyor, spacing and safety are the responsibility of the car wash, not individual drivers.   I trusted their system and followed all instructions, yet my vehicle was damaged and they refused to compensate or accept responsibility. If you value your vehicle, be aware that Total Waves Car Wash may not stand behind their equipment or procedures when something goes wrong. read more

Attempted to get membership fast tag fixed after being given wrong tag. Stated I needed to call their home office. Contacted their home office, and was told the location needed to fix it. Went back to the location was given the run around, and god awful customer service. One of the workers I was sent to asked how the hell am I supposed to do that when I informed him of the situation. Called their office back, and informed them again of the situation. They stated there was nothing they could do. Membership canceled. Will not be utilizing them again. read more

Today I visited this spa location on 350 hwy in Raytown Mo. I was yelled at by the attendant Mike all because my pass was not on my windshield but it was attached to my sun visor. Mike the attendant was very threatening while asking for my pass. I was canceled by Mike because I would not remove my pass from my sun visor and put the pass on my windshield so he reached into my vehicle and took my pass off my sun visor and said that my membership was canceled. I was allowed to was my vehicle today but once I went through my vehicle had to be rewashed due to bird poo still on it. Mike would not honor today's wash and continue to scream at me stating that I had my wash for today and he didn't care. He finally allowed me to go back through Only after a brief blow up. I was paying monthly $43.56. I guess I will go back to washing my vehicle by hand and save the 43.56. read more

Car wash destroyed my camper shell and the manager felt like it wasn't something he would take care of so I'm out 1,000$ .

I give It 3 Stars because there is still a giant bug goo on my windshield even though there is a employee that scrubs your windshield before you even enter the car wash. I paid for the $20 wash and there is still a giant bug splat on my windshield. Otherwise my car is clean. Just wish they got my windshield better for $20 read more

Mike is a horrible horrible manager. Got the membership a few weeks ago and I've been coming every single with no issue. I've also came frequently for a year prior to getting the membership. My front bumper is messed up and they've been letting me go through their auto wash without incident. But whatever reason today Mike wouldn't let me through. What's even more strange and frustrating about the refusal is he see me here every single week!! Even once I pointed that out to him he acknowledged seeing me here just last week and he still let me through without any issue. I don't know what changed from last week to today but I'm extreme furious. I asked for which he initially refused and once I called he police and corporate on him he lied and said I didn't know that's what you wanted me to do. I said just let me through or give me money back for the membership. He began to process the refund and we shall see how long it takes for the money to show up in my account. This all could've been avoided on multiple occasions by refusing my car over a year ago (my car has looked like this for about 2 years so there hasn't been any other issues). And lastly what set me off even after all that he began gripping the bumper to show me how "mangled" it is and laughing while doing it which highly unprofessional. I'll just save my money and wash it at home because the treatment I received from Mike was disgusting DON'T COME HERE!!!! read more

I have the monthly unlimited car wash subscription since the day they opened and have been so impressed by the way they operate and handle things that the few minor issues I've had, don't even count to me. So 5 stars from me! read more
