Great wash and helpful attendants! Friendly and go out of their way to do their job - Will be back

I've never been a monthly car wash subscriber. I lied...I did sign up when this location was brand new, years ago. After one month, I canceled, and the member sticker is still on my windshield (until I get my windshield replaced in the coming days anyway). I still visit this location on occasion for the prideful self-detail (the car wash itself does a halfway decent job but the manual labor that is required following its usage is a little too much). Today I stopped in spontaneously but quite intentionally - I have to drive a student to the school board meeting this week and I can't have my car a toddler-destroyed mess. Towels were hard to come by for a little while but the manager of the location eventually brought more out. What I'm ticked about is the vacuum situation. The new vacuums they replaced the old ones with are horrible. As soon as I started my diligent vacuuming, the sucking piece came detached from the hose itself and the hose started sucking up my blouse and every other thing it came into contact with. I'll be going to Woody's in the future. For $30, perhaps they have better functioning, reliable vacuums. Plus, there's no shortage of these car wash get-ups. I'm sure if Woody's sucks, I will just find another one. Or maybe I'll stop being a diva and just detail my car myself. Probably not though. read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS CARWASH. I have had a membership with tidal wave for the past 4 years when they first open their location in Palm Harbor and this specific location in Lutz is by far the most dangerous location. Not only is it not clean, messy, I have almost got in an accident twice in the car wash, the other cars with me and I were so scared due to how the car wash operates and how close we were altogether from hitting each other. No one came to help us. The only reason why I'll still keep my membership is because the other two locations are great. The Palm Harbor location and the Wesley Chapel location is good. Ran better and a lot safer. Do not bother coming to this location. The other reviews are valid. read more

I have been using this location for my car wash service. The last month I have noticed my clear coat paint on my hood and roof is scratched from the brush roller at the car wash. I spoke to the manager to about the issue (he was very nice). He attributed the damage to "sun swirls". Today, i had the damage by a collision center. The damage is from the car wash. Do not use this service! The car wash will damage your paintjob. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office. on a positive note, the employees are a hard working group. This is no fault to them, it's the equipment. read more

I had a membership that I had signed up for at another title wave location let's just say it rhymes with molds car. It was a very negative experience as I asked for the brushes not to touch my black HRV because they leave swirl marks no matter how well-maintained the wraps are. Well I continually asked, and only got two washes where the brushes will retracted so I canceled my membership. One Saturday I stopped in the Lutz location and asked about the brushes and was told they were absolutely going to retract them. They did and the wash was great. Every time I've been in there the people have been professional and courteous and attentive and I have never had an issue with getting exactly what I wanted. Thanks to folks like Xavier, who was the initial person who I spoke to, I'm considering renewing my membership but with this store so that this fine crew gets the credit they deserve I would highly recommend this location towels are always stocked. People are always pleasant. Place is always clean. Car wash is maintained perfectly. You really can't ask for more! read more

This car wash has made m y life a bit more convenient. Uaing their membership I can run my car through every day if I needed to. Drive up and scan my windshield tag and it opens up to let me in. The workers are professional and pre scrub the front and back of your vehicle before directing you into the wash tunnel. The car wash 8tself is staged and had signs and l8ghts yelling you what part of the process you're in. Asna cat enthusiast I know the old adage is not to ever run through these car washes. But as I get older and lazier, I could care less foe the microswitls I can't even see in the paint. I use detailer, polish, and wax separately anyways so it doesn't really matter. The vacuums are strong and do a good job, bit the hoses could stand to be longer. Also, the crew does a good job keeping towels stocked to dry ypur car off, but rhey could stand to be a little drier. Otherwise, I'm satisfied and will come once a weekend to keep my car clean. I'm a happy customer! read more

I have had a family plan for over nearly 2 years with no issues. These car washes have disclaimers that effectively state if a driver does something in the car wash that causes an accident, think breaking, they are not liable for damages. This is an understandable rule. In March 2025, I was involved in an accident in the car wash. Long story short, during a conversation between the driver and attendant about putting the car in neutral, the car in front of me became unseated, the back rollers disappeared under his tires. The car started moving forward so the attendant shrugged his shoulders and let it go and got me right behind him. My bad was assuming that he knows how the machine works, and I did not. During the wash, the rollers stopped him, and the cars collided. I have a camera in the car and could validate myself that the car did not apply their breaks or anything. And we ALL know they have cameras too and know exactly what happened. I filed a complaint the next day both calls and portal submissions. One week later the site manager called me from a phone that was clearly not his. He argued that it was the car in front of me that caused the accident, I disagreed since he was not seated properly before the washing began. He asked me to submit pictures and two repair quotes. I sent over within 24 hours and never heard from him again. He did not answer the phone, respond to text, or respond to emails. I have filed 3 claims and called 4 times to get resolution from corporate. It has been 4 months and the only direct communication I have had from them was the call from the manager (March) and an email from the claims department asking for pictures, repair bills, etc. (May). I called in June and was told I had to go back to working with the site manager who ghosted me to begin with. Funny thing is, I was willing to take a year of family plan (2 cars) for a year just to put an end to this but again, cannot get anyone from this company to engage me. If you have to use Tidal Wave, go to the location near Costco. They know what they are doing, and the car usually looks cleaner. I am going elsewhere. read more

BEWARE!!! Do not enter into a monthly unlimited contract with Tidal Wave Auto Spa. I cancelled my account in February before the due date and they still charged my credit card. Again in March after cancellation of account they charged my card again. I called the company and they told me that they never received my cancellation notice and they will not refund my money. I would give Tidal Waves 0 stars if I could. Buyer beware READ THE SMALL PRINT!!! I tried to cancel my monthly subscription, but have to pay an additional month since they consider the month ends on the 28th (the day I called) not on the 30th. Terrible customer service from the supervisor Madison phone # 706-938-0991 who claimed they have no record of me calling even though I forwarded her an email from Dani which reads conversation between incoming call from my phone number. The wash is fine BUT if you have a glass rooftop SUV I recommend avoiding. I used to go to this car wash and it does sound louder than normal for a car wash when it gets to the top of your vehicle. Once sounded like it was hit with something hard. Scared the heck out of me. Coincidentally, I've had to replace that glass twice from a rock flying off the highway and maybe, just maybe, it was because the integrity of the glass was being compromised by the mechanisms in this car wash. DO NOT USE! They break down constantly and your car will be damaged. I was stuck in between other vehicles for 25 minutes while brushes with no water or soap continued to hit my car. I immediately called the home office in Ga. No answer, can't leave a message. You can text and email like I did too but you only get a response saying someone will get back with you which they never do. Next day I return and in line to pull in just to cancel since no one apparently works at the home office. Same thing other vehicles in line because they broke down once again. Call and email again - no response. Go this evening... same thing broken down but this time I was able to speak with a new girl who was working at the gate. I asked for the Manager and the girl said she would be right out and cancel my account August1. I asked for a refund for the month due to the fact that I had not used it and due to what I experienced and what happened when I tried to. The "Manager" they sent out appeared to be a 16 year old kid who kept telling me to call the phone # I had already been calling that no one answers. He then told me I should go to the Wesley Chapel location and they could give me a refund because he couldn't. When I questioned why I would go to a location where I'm not a member and never visited... I was told "because I'm just trying to make you leave". Then proceeded to walk away. No one will care if your car is damaged and definitely not about the faulty equipment they're using. read more

Tidal Wave are using teenagers to push sales dishonestly. They give out free car washes and yet say they need your credit card in case you decide to join their membership. I did get an email requesting membership, I declined it and didn't notices until 5 months later realize they are taking $45.00 a month. I did not use it during the month of March or April. I notice I was being charged in June, so I used the car wash. When I was finally able to get someone on the phone, they told me they could not refund for the months I didn't use their service because I used it in June. Interesting......... If I don't use your service, then why should I pay? Tidal Wave, your car wash is GREAT, IF YOU WERE HONEST AND TAUGHT YOUR EMPLOYEES TO BE HONEST. One STAR from me. read more

If you want to come to wash your car once in a while, go ahead. But DO NOT purchase a membership here. The employees are liars and this company is a complete mess. They are literally stealing money from their customers. This is our experience and as I can see on other reviews, many others have had similar experiences. We purchased a membership at the car wash and received the sticker. Then we received our first monthly charge. The next time we went, we drove through and they said we don't have a membership. The guy looked through the system, couldn't find our name, phone number, any info at all. Then they found out they had our information connected to someone else's car and didn't have our car in the system. They ensured us we were good to go. The next time we went after that, they once again could not find our account in the system. We had to go into their office and they realized our car was still not in the system and we were still tied to someone else's car. This happened a THIRD time. The exact same situation, we had to go in the office for them to find our account. We have always dealt with different employees, so this is an issue with the company, not any one employee. We finally decided to cancel. We went into the office and watched the guy cancel our membership. He even said "if you get charged again, let us know" Well, guess what!?! We were charged again. Shocking. We called customer service who said "oh they didn't actually cancel your membership, I'll cancel it now." They would not give us a refund. This company is DISGUSTING. So it is with a sad heart I am writing this review. If you are a person who doesn't believe in accountability for damage you can stop reading. I have been going here for some time and the last time I went to get my car washed the dryer roller which takes off most of the water ripped off my windshield wiper in the back of my car. I came in filled out a document to get restitution for my windshield I had faith the company would make things right. I waited the 24 to 48 hours for the manager to call and he did not. It was with good intention I drove to the car wash to talk to the manager. When I arrived he stated "I was waiting for you to come in". (this shows no intention of calling). He started to explain they put 4 pieces of tape on my car to secure my wiper. I asked what is your intention do you plan on reimbursing me for my wiper? He states "No" I asked if there was another manager he said he was the GM. I stated "I will be leaving a review on google like you asked but I will let everyone know what happened. He states "Go ahead I will have it removed". He also stated they found my windshield wiper he did not offer to give it back. Why mention it then? So I copied this review just in case he did take it down. they had a lot of the incident reports a whole stack so he has to say no to a lot of people who also had their wiper ripped off. Please take head and if they have to tape your windshield wiper there is a chance its going to get ripped off. No other car wash I have been to does that. So here is my review please do not go here if you value your car, My car is brand new right off the show room floor. I have seen Lexus, Porche, Lincoln there again if you value your car do not go here. Next I am calling corporate more to come. We came during their opening week and they had a "free wash" deal which gave you a free car wash that day and then if you wanted a membership, you can get their top package for the first month for $9.99 instead of the $39.99. It was very well organized for as busy as it was. The only con of this place is that the exit is where the enter is, so if there's a long line coming in you may have to wait to exit. Haven't got to use the vacuum area yet since we were just running the car through to be cleaned. Love that they opened a spot like this in the lutz area and the fact that any package you purchase, you can go to any Tidal wave location. read more

This place just opened in Lutz, right on N. Dale Mabry off the Veterans Expressway. Came here because convenient to home and wanted to try it out. Since pollen season my lady was dirty. This is a drive thru car wash and they have free vacuums and towels you can use after the wash. Friendly staff assisted us with our visit and getting us signed up for their unlimited washes for $19.99 per month. I love the bays where you can park and vacuum! They are big and spacious so you're not right up to the other person that's vacuuming and detailing their car. The vacuums are LOUD and have a lot of suction! And you don't have to worry about pressing a button and then the vacuum stopping after so long. Theirs you just remove from the slot they have it stored in and it's already on! Absolutely so happy to have a good car wash place so close to home. My car is spotless! No watermarks after the wash. read more

For first time after having a membership for over one year with Tidal Lutz, FL, I'm taking the time to write this review to share the uncomfortable situation I experienced with the Operations Manager at Tidal Lutz, FL. On December 08, 2022, my wife and I went to this Tidal location to clean our car, and we were on the cleaning process inside the car wash when we heard something that hitting strong on the front top of the car. When the cleaning was completed, I proceed to step out of the car to see what happened, and found that the sliding roof panel glass of my car was broken. Immediately, I called the assistance Manager to let him know about the situation. The assistance Manager saw my car and asked me some questions regarding the incident. Immediately, he initiated a Customer Incident Report to address the situation. Pictures were taken as evidence, and a video was reviewed to confirm. The assistance manager told me to go ahead and provide an estimate to pay for the damage. Until this point, everything was well manage, and we were working to have the part fixed. However, on 20Dec2022, I went to the Tidal Lutz location with the invoice right after the part was fixed, and the Operations Manager that was working by the time said "I was waiting for you to let you know that we will not pay for the damage because the issue with the broken part happened in any other place, but not in the car wash." I was explaining to this Manager that I discussed this issue with the assistance Manager right after the damage happened, and we already demonstrated that the cause of the broken part was the car wash machine. This operations Manager had a really bad behavior while speaking with me, and grabbed a leather football to play with it. That was something unprofessional. I contacted the Tidal Wave Auto Spa customer service line to find somebody responding for the damages caused to my car by the car wash. Also, I'm wondering if Tidal will be addressing the unprofessional behavior from this operations Manager. The customer service representative told me that Someone at Tidal Wave Auto SPA will contact me to have this issue resolved. I was not able to use my car for over two, weeks, I had to deal with the bad behavior of the operations Manager, and and I'm still waiting for Tidal to pay me for the money I paid to fix my car. I'm not sure if the company will take responsibility for their failure services, and proceed to pay for the damages to my car, and I don't know if they will address the situation with the operations Manager. Newest of the west Lutz carwashes to pop up is tidal wave. I love a new car wash, everything still works! Located at the end of the veterans expressway across dale mabry hwy, it's one of the fastest car washes in town. Pull in and there are two kiosks: the left is for members and right for those unwilling to shell out another monthly bill automatically. You are immediately prompted to buy the membership, i hit No and select the best wash. $27 is close to average the gate goes up and you drive forward. Most times it's just one guy waving you onto the conveyor belt so your tires line up. When you stop they drag a brush across the front and back windows, sometimes the grill. I guess it depends on their mood, once I saw a car get no scrub and off it went. Once you go through the Wash building and get whatever level of wash you bought. You drive out to the vacuum area and can pull up and vac your car. They also have carts with clean towels on top to finish drying the leftover water around the mirrors, back window and tailgate.(i have a truck, your results may vary) After that you're done and can exit the wash back the way you came in. Maybe 3.5...BUT We were in need of a quick car wash and decided to try this new spot out. I went with the $15 wash but didn't bother vacuuming even though it's included. The pricing was a lot higher than I expected but it did a decent job considering. The staff member who "checked us out" seemed new and didn't know much when we asked the difference between the $15 and $25 wash... he was kind though and handed us a pamphlet to review. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. From the beginning was frustrated as the automatic tag to enter never worked. Always got the run around to address. Today (8/13/22) insisted they give me a replacement tag. After a little back and forth with the manager on site at the time, he gave me a new tag and then refused to remove the old one and install the new one. There are too many car washes in the area to put up with a surly employee and poor service. I asked account to be cancelled. Young man went into the office and said he cancelled. Few hours later I call corporate office to confirm cancellation. Guess what? They said no cancellation was requested or processed. So in addition to rude associates, Tidal Wave also hires liars. I used to be an assistant manager here over a year ago. I was abruptly terminated by the manager for correctly doing my job, not cutting corners and efficiently correcting issues with unsatisfied members. He also didn't like the fact that none of the hourly employees didn't like him. He was rude to them, not understanding or compassion to the fact that they were under the age of 18 and had to accommodate their school schedule or parents work schedule for being able to drop them off for their shifts. He was on a power trip with all of the employees and the customers as well. He constantly spoke down to everyone about everything. He literally had myself and the other assistant do everything. I was in charge of handling all of the reports, weekly paperwork, reprimanding the insubordinate/bad employees(which he was to scared to deal with) plus I was more tactful and handle the interactions with them better/more appropriately because they liked and respected me more. I would also have to deal with multiple customer complaints about him daily. The other assistant was a fantastic worker and knew everything about the car wash because he had worked for a different car wash company before. The other assistant and myself always got stuck doing the dirty work of fixing/repairing the car wash mechanics when they broke down. Less than 75% of the time the whole wash is working. The 3 separate light bar rows towards the end of the wash, which is supposed to be ceramics, rain x and the ceramics again... DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY! You aren't getting your paint on your car/truck/suv fully covered in ceramics. Stop wasting your money on that BS they're trying to sell you on about the ceramics. Plus, every wash gets ceramics in it! There are pumps in the back room that houses the 55 gal contains of chemicals. Each container has a hose in it. The soap container and the ceramics container run off of the same hoses, which means they mix together... Every wash they offer has ceramics in it! The micro fiber towels that you are using to dry you clear coat paint job off with aren't even washed with laundry detergent... they use only vinegar, so they don't "stink". Customers after they go through the wash use those towels to dry out their engine compartment, which is filled SAND and GREASE. Vinegar is not a laundry detergent OR a degreaser! and Yes, the tire machine is never working correctly or even at all. They will try to tell you that the reason why one of your tire/tires are shinny in certain areas is because your tires are old/dry rotted... NOT TRUE! The machine sucks, the applicator nozzles are clogged with calcium and don't spray evenly, just like the nozzles on the 3 row bars of ceramics at the end. The nozzles are really expensive and they are too cheap to fix replace them. Have you ever wondered why you can't see out of the windows in the tunnel?... that's because they are caked up with hard water from the wash water(which is recycled, dirty, reused wash water that all of the vehicles get washed in) and ceramic build up(which is corrosive) and they're up selling you on all this to apply to your cars paint job I'm writing the post over a year after me being wrongfully fired by a jerk who had no idea what he was doing. The other assistant went on his lunch break and never came back, intentionally to screw over the manager, so he would have to close that night by himself(it was hysterical ), everyone else walked out on him and went to work across the street at the Wendy's for more money and less aggravation... None of us were angry about leaving/getting fired. We all felt like a ton of bricks had been lifted off of our shoulders! All of the Tidal Wave locations in FL, GA, SC and NC are overseen by the same Regional Manager and are run exactly the same. I didn't write this to be malicious. I WROTE THIS SO ALL OF YOU KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TYPE AND QUALITY OF A COMPANY YOU ARE GIVING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO FOR A SERVICE THAT THEY ARE TELLING YOU THAT YOU'RE GETTING, BUT AREN'T... Great place to go if you have a clean car. You get a three dollar car wash for $12. Even when you communicate issues with the staff, they shrug their shoulders. Drive the extra 5 miles north or south east to a place that will actually get your car clean. read more

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. This place used to be great and I would go frequently but I will never be returning again. The children that work here truly do not care about representing this business. The worker in the front loading the cars onto the belt wasn't helping guide cars at all just lazily motioning them forward and was very sarcastic/rude about putting the car in neutral. They place the cars EXTREMELY close together and it has caused accidents to happen inside the wash area, i'm guessing since no one is actively watching the cameras. Signed up on March 3rd upon visiting this location for the first time. Told the attendant we were only signing up for one month due to out-of-state travel. He said "no problem", just cancel no later than April 3rd. We canceled on April 3rd (received email confirmation), yet were not only charged again but the agreed monthly charge of $21.50 increased to $32.34. Called customer service and they said that "the fine print" on our windshield decal states that you must cancel 7 days prior. And they added that our initial rate was a one-month promo. Asked to speak to a Manager and naturally, no manager on staff today. A real shame, because had the Lutz Ops Manager not given us the "sales pitch" versus the fine print, we would gladly use this service again. Came by to get my truck washed the other day with high expectations. The car wash is really nice and new so I had hoped it would do a really good job. They had someone going over certain parts with a brush before the wash. When I finished with the wash though my truck was still considerably dirty. There were spots where you could see the brushes had hit certain parts but didn't get the whole area. I emailed what I believe is the owner or manager with no response. read more

So yes their equipment washers your car well but the service is a joke every single time I go I have an issue with my barcode reader never working and each time they blame the person that helped me on my last visit and says that it's fixed when in fact it never is and always always holds up the line the next time I visit well tonight is something new and I'm considering canceling my membership after I hear back from corporate because tonight I drove 20 minutes like I always do from home to get there and I showed up 30 minutes before they close they have two cars going through the machines and the guy puts the cones right in front of me telling me they're closed so I get out of the car and ask him you have another 30 minutes 32 minutes to be exact and he repeats that they have a team meeting that starts at 9 so they're closing early so they can get out early enough to all go out tonight as a group because keep in mind they're all 16 to 20 year old kids with their first job I'm guessing because I couldn't believe he said that to me which I mentioned and reminded him that they are actually open for 30 more minutes so then he remarked that if I didn't remind him of his job he would have washed my car but because I brought that up now he wasn't going to do his job and take care of me so immediately after he said that I again another time said I can't believe you just said that to me I said Jose I said you are literally making things worse as a customer perspective on my situation here and he pretty much said I don't care you're pissing me off and turned around and walked away and sarcastically told me to have a good night buddy which I surprisingly said to him again for the third time almost laughing that again with the knowledge that you know I'm going to call the corporate office on you that you would be sarcastically rude and say goodbye to me to end this terrible interaction instead of trying to end it on some type of ending that is somewhat decent but whatever this is just what I should learn to expect at this place they have all of these kids and no real dolts so it's like the kids have full control the house you know sometimes I even go there and I hate to even post this but some of the employees sit around the corner smoking joints and marijuana and it just blows my mind and that this is all acceptable behavior and nobody is there to rain these guys in but again I just wanted to share my experience tonight I've already emailed corporate and hopefully I get to share it with them like I said I'm most likely going to cancel my membership because no matter how well that machine may wash my car I'm not going to have wasted my time to drive all the way up there and get there exactly 32 minutes before they close and be told that you can't take of me while I'm there within your hours of operation and then to be rude and sarcastically dismissive was just icing on the cake so anyways my review is over everybody may or may not have the same experiences like I said the car wash equipment itself is sound and does a great job on my Mercedes but as far as the staff and your expectations on what to receive or even how they may talk to you should be a very low bar with that all in mind deal with them at your own risk read more

The car wash is a good experience. But When I went to go dry it off And ask the guy for towels, he refused. Seriously WTF?? I asked him why he said it's gonna rain any minute. What a freakin moron. It's not rocket science to work in a car wash, he literally walked away to ask the boss if I could get a towel. In the 7 minutes waiting there, now it was drizzling & I left. I got a refund and an apology. All I wanted was a car wash and dry. Hire some people that are capable of handing you a towel. read more
